  1. Can you change other things individually, like TPMS settings, tire size, top speed, shift points, rev limiter, etc.?
  2. Those types of kits are basically glorified leveling kits. Rough Country, Zone Offroad, CCM, Cognito, etc...they're all the same. I wouldn't go over 2.5" with those kits if you want to keep a nice ride. Anything higher than that, you should go with a full suspension lift kit.
  3. Ahhhh, another case of the good ole "chevy lean" that most OCD truck owners struggle with, haha. It's very common. If you're only 1/4" off, then you're doing much better than most. If your tires are wearing evenly, the truck tracks straight, and your steering wheel is straight, then I wouldn't worry about it. And, it's normal for the torsion bar bolts to be uneven as well. Many owners have found that they're able to crank one side more than the other, before their bolts bottom out. If it really worries you, then I'd recommend going with your plan of getting everything fixed up when you get your new tires.
  4. There are too many horror stories about the "Chevy shake" on these trucks. Regardless of the looks, condition, miles, options, etc., there's no way I'd buy a truck without test driving it first. If it shakes at highway/interstate speeds on a smooth road, walk away. Other than that, these trucks are fantastic, and will last a LONG time.
  5. Thanks for the advice. It seems like nothing is free any more, but it's worth a try. The nearest Discount Tire is about an hour away from me, but it will be pretty easy for me to stop by the next time I'm in that area. It would be nice to get the TPMS re-programmed.
  6. The 2015-2019 HD's can run a 258/75/18 or 295/70/18 on stock wheels at stock height. The 2020's seem to have more room than the previous generation, so I don't see any reason why those sizes wouldn't work. Could probably even run a true 35x12.50x18 on stock wheels with a few torsion bar cranks.
  7. Hmmmm.....that's interesting. I didn't know it behaved like that. I figured it would just slam into first gear and stay there until you shifted it yourself. I guess I need to play around with it more.
  8. I've used manual mode for grade braking quite a bit. Been down plenty of high altitude passes at 5k RPM, with my camper trying to shove me off the mountain, haha. It works great, but I've seldom had to keep it in M1 because first gear is so low. I still don't understand the purpose of forcing it to hold 1st gear only. Why not just use M1, and tap the shifter button when needed?
  9. My dealer reprogrammed the TPMS on my last two trucks, but refused to do it on this one. So, I run 50-55 psi all around for a while, and ignore the warning light. Eventually, I get tired of the light, and bump the rears up to 62-65ish just to make the TPMS happy. When I get tired of the firm ride, I drop back down to the 50's and start the process all over again, haha.
  10. Have you actually towed multiple times with your truck? If so, did the transmission run hot? My dad and I have both used our 6.0/6L90 trucks to pull campers from IL to CO (and through the mountains), and back home, in the summer heat without any problems. And, we both have homemade guards over the hole in the front bumper, which probably restricts a bit of airflow to the factory transmission cooler. My 1500 trucks would be at max temperature during various times on this same trip (both engine and transmission), but the HD's handle it with room to spare.
  11. I use manual mode when towing our camper as well (especially in the Colorado mountains)......but I've yet to find a use for the "1" mode, which holds the transmission in first gear. How about you?
  12. As others have stated, it will hold first gear. I've yet to find a reasonable use for it though.
  13. At the top Berthoud Pass in Colorado this summer.
  14. Looks good. Suspension, wheel, and tire specs?
  15. Pretty cool idea. I'll contribute, since I have 17's, which is less common. 285/75/17 will fit on the stock 17's, at stock height, with GM mudflaps, and no trimming. I ran those for nearly 5k miles, without any issues. 285/75/17 will fit on 17x9, +18mm, with 7 cranks on the stock keys (1.5"), without any trimming and GM mudflaps.
  16. I didn’t like the look of the factory exhaust tail pipe exit, so I had the local exhaust shop cut it off right after it dumps over the rear axle. Added a black 3.5” in, 5” out tip to clean things up. I think it made the tone a little deeper too. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  17. Thank you. I just posted some pics. Sorry for the delay, I haven't checked my build thread in a while.
  18. Sorry guys, this is the best I've got. It's kind of hard to see. There's actually a little bracket behind those gray plastic pieces. It was super easy to bolt to.
  19. Yep, there's a lot of similarities between our trucks!
  20. A couple pics after doing some riding late in the spring. It’s great to have a truck that can haul 700lbs in the bed and not even know it’s there [emoji41] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  21. I bought mine from www.sinisterdiesel.com, but they were Zone Offroad brand. A simple Google search for 2500HD shock extensions will yield all kinds of results.
  22. Very sharp rig, man. And, 6.0 to boot! I'm sure you mentioned it before, but what's your lift/tire setup? I love that stance. The owner already responded, but like he said, that color is only available through the fleet special orders program. Very nice color though. I had a 2006 that was very similar (if not the same).
  23. And it actually went until 1991.....but we're kind of splitting hairs here. I think most of us are on the same page regarding the new Blazer we were hoping for....and the new Blazer we're actually getting.
