  1. Well, unfortunately they don't make Z rated all terrain tires.. In central Texas we have SH130, where the posted speed limit is 85 mph. And if you're going that slow, you need to stay to the right lane!
  2. Oh well, I was just trying to help a brother out. I know better now. I will say off the HD platform. I posted this back in March, I posted how I resolved the problem below. Thanks
  3. Good to know

  5. Well, since we have a different platform, if anyone is interested, besides you.....the above issue could be shared because we both have GMC trucks......the problem was from ...the battery... a d the negative terminal post ,battery monitor module. If your vehicle needs service..what is the first thing the manual, if you have one..or care to hear about, like anything electrical or reboot is disconnecting the negative terminal. How old is your battery? Is the terminal TIGHT if you have any movement..you have s problem. The battery is specific for the vehicle. It is an Absorbed Mat type. Not sure what happens if you try it with a regular one, I'm not finding out. So the fix for the OP, was : replaced the negative terminal Battery Monitor module (has a 2 wire pigtail and connector) And I replace the battery (upgrade) to a 94AMGHR high reserve AC Delco 36mo. How long has it it been since your battery expired?..well... thats too long... So... if your 2500 has a problem like I posted.. then maybe it would be something to check. Back to the 1500 forum. Sixfour I have not had this problem or issue since I replaced these two parts. The battery was the original 2020 battery. ¿ Never had any problem with power or starting failure. But I have had no issues since. Just wanted to let the HEAVY DUYY community how it was fixed. Later.
  6. I believe I saw them at American Truck. They usually come with the spot/ flood light.
  7. I agree. I live in Texas and thousands of trucks losded on rail cars pass through here everyday coming from Mexico. I looked at many CPO (certified pre-owned) trucks and almost 80% were built or assembled in Mexico. I finally located a truck that I wanted. It had 60k miles. It is a '20 Denali, so outside of the recall. It has the 6.2L DFM and Auotstop and a 10spd. I tuned out both, first with a Pulsar LT, then with a DiabloSport trinity and a LEW custom tune. I have had no problems at all, from motor or trans. ..But. this truck was built and assembled completely in the USA. at the Roanoke plant. It makes a difference. Quality, built with American hands. Engine and transmission, assembled in the United States of America.
  8. I would choose the 6.2L. My reason is the horsepower and torque. I do not pull a trailer most times, but use the bed for transportation of various cargo weight and sizes. I know the 3.0 has great HP and torque numbers also, but my preference is a naturally aspirated gasoline motor with performance to press me back into my seat. Before owning this 6.2L, most of my previous GM trucks(and several F body's, had 5.7L powerplants. I have owned and driven numerous 6.6L duramax rigs, but not the 3.0L. For me the final awnser is the 6.2L mostly for the incredible performance. I find numerous reasons to have to drive this 6.2L Denali, because she is a beast. I know Pontiac use to build Excitement, but GM put the WHOAH in the 6.2L.
  9. Dammit, now I'm spooked. I will be checking ASAP. IF Anyone else is checking the fluid level on their 10 speed transmission, let everyone know what you find, and if you have to add any, how much. We would like to know.
  10. You are absolutely correct. I saved for almost a year to get the system, it is not cheap. I lived with the delete pipe for some time, and the first start up had me smiling. There definitely was a drone about 1500- 1800. It wasn't so loud that it upset others, but it was a rough exhaust sound. I did not like that after the cats, it went into a Y back to a single and back to a Y split and reduced to 2.5 inch over the axel and just ends at the funky HDMI bumper cutouts. Now it is 3" from the cats, all the way out the back, and quad tips that fit the cutouts just right. Cheapest cost and for it to sound like a truck, is muffler delete, and keep the rear resonators, I belive the rear weighted valve is cutout to install. The front flapper valve stays, if your exaust has 2. You will of course definitely have some drone, but not break the bank, and it would sound like a truck. Also the 5' oem muffler weighs about 80 lbs. Scrap that thing. IMHO
  11. I also have a variety of the stretch belts install tools. The tools work sometimes, and the zip ties are a pain too. I replaced my belts at about 75K, and they were getting thin. I also replaced the non adjustable idler, just so I don't have to go back and cut the belt off. The accessory belt was very stretched out and thin compared to the new one. They were the original serpentine belts. It might be a simple task with a lift, but it is more frustrating laying on your back to get them on. It is what it is. I know how to do it now, but not my favorite thing to do at all.
  12. Would that be operating temp? Is the hex plug metric? And location is on what side of the transmission? That pan removal would be too much for me.
  13. What about a 2020 6.2L no issues. 81078mi. Only run 93•
  14. I recently installed the AWE OFG true dual cat back system with H pipe, on my 2020 Denali 6.2L. AWE guarantees no drone with it's 180° technology. I can testify to that. There is absolutely no drone at any speed. And it is the best sounding exaust on the planet. It is also beautifully constructed from high quality stainless steel. It really looks and sounds fantastic. I had a muffler delete before the AWE system, and that caused a drone, very bad at part throttle, and I was very happy to finally get the OFG system with the black crome quad tips. I am no longer a member of the HDMI Club! I know you said you did not want it real loud or have a drone at speed. This system is expensive, but guaranteed for a lifetime, and has no drone at all. It is quite loud on cold start-up, but quiets down quickly. The 6.2 breaths eaiser, sounds amazing, looks great, with no drone at all. One of the best mods ever, along with a Diablew tune, what a blast to drive!
  15. I am no longer in the HDMI club ! Neither is this guy. AI sucks sometimes. Why did they put the exaust pipe in the middle ? Or, did it confuse the receiver hitch opening an exaust port?
  16. I saw this online today. AI sure does mess up sometimes, you can't believe everything you read. Now you can't believe everything you see. Times were different before computers, photoshop, and now AI.
  17. I have a squeek early in the morning just going out the gate. My '20 has 80k and the DIC showed 38% front and 50% on the rear. I looked at GM performance gold rotors and ceramic upgraded pads. The rotors are slotted, but at close to $400 each, I am leaning towards the Powerstop tow and haul kit with ceramic pads and slotted and cross drilled rotors for front and rear at about $600, includes wear sensors and all hardware needed. Rockauto probably has the best price @ $500 or so. Powerstop is a quality product. I will be sure to test it thoroughly.
  18. I have heard of others that the Atak muffler was too loud a m d swapped to a Touring muffler, but other than reverting back to the stock system the only input I can give is -"The neighbors will learn to live with it" I recently installed the AWE OFG CAT BACK 3" TRUE DUAL WITH AN H PIPE, and it also has an aggressive cold starts, but quiets down quickly, about 45 seconds. I absolutely enjoy the deep V8 rumble with this setup. I'm not one to leave the truck warming up for long periods, it really is not healthy for the motor to do that anyway. Once the idle comes down after startup it is ready to drive. Even when I leave at 5 am, I don't rev it or mash the gas in the neighborhood, and they can turn over and go back to sleep. This AWE system has no drone at any speed, and it's only loud when I mash the accelerator, then it roars. I just want to give a shout out to the folks at AWE. They make a quality product, and in my opinion, The best sounding exaust on the planet!
  19. After driving my 2020 GMC 1500 Denali 6.2L for several thousand miles (I bought as CPO 65k miles), I was surprised to learn that they are stretch belts and there is no longer a tensioner pully. There is an idler, but once stretched on, no other adjustments able, or needed. For others, what are your thoughts and experiences in installing and the wear or life expectancy you have had with them. Thanks, Mark
  20. I am interested in hearing how the pulsar LT worked for you? Did you have any issues? Would you recommend one?
  21. Looks like an older post. I had similar issues and found a service bulletin about chafing on wire bundles. Here are shots of the bulletin:
