Shake or Vibration Issues
Enforcer replied to Silver space ship's topic in Troubleshooting & Recalls
WOW, So sad to see so many new people and worse seeing some with unresolved issues STILL ! I was jaw jacking with a guy last week at the car wash and commented on how nice his Silverado looked and then he unloaded for the next 20min about the vibration issue he's having on his 50k + truck with 2,200 miles. Wished him the best and gave him this link. -

I really doubt they would do anything with that type of mileage, but I've been wrong before ! They are making plenty of money, so I figure the GM attitude is hope this all blows over. http://www.marketwatch.com/story/general-motors-stock-surges-after-profit-outlook-dividend-were-raised-2016-01-13 -

Shake or Vibration Issues

My vibration was noticed @ 300 miles and every time GM did something to it just made it worse, Umteen times of road forcing 4 different sets of tires & wheels, pinion, complete differential, shocks, and for extra credit they loosened the body mounts twice ! I honestly considered mine to be a safety hazard, @ 75 it would feel like the rear end was leaving the pavement kinda like driving on a wash board gravel road. this was from Nov. 2014 until Feb.2015 when GM finally cut a check. I drove seven 2014's and three 2015's all with less then a 100 miles on them and they all vibrated, not as bad as mine so I declined the use of a loaned and bought a Ram on 12/22/2014 and have not had one issue and the best part I was able to get a more equipped Ram for MUCH less money then the Silverado They never had time to address the transmission or injector issues ! -

Welcome to the forum bobbyg175, Find out the lemon laws in your state, file a BBB report also. They had mine from Nov.2014 until Feb.2015 I do feel your pain ! they never got to my transmission or direct injector issues, but basically threw so many parts at it they even had a hard time remembering what they had exactly done so keep all of your paper work in order, lastly the dealer has to play by GM rules or risk his franchise...So be nice, it made a world of difference when the buy back time came as my dealer went to bat for me, I was never given the opportunity to speak face to face with anyone from GM. Good Luck ! -

I'm also keeping an eye on this forum, I joined here long before the vibration issue back when I had my '04 K-2500 that I traded in on the '14. When I traded the '04 on the '14 in Oct 2014 and the first time into the service drive being told " Don't believe everything you read on the internet " & " Normal opperation " this was the first place I came to. and just to find out this thread started in August of 2013 ! For me being a past employee of GM/Chevrolet, I learned there is no such thing as brand loyalty in today's world and I won't even go on about how GM/ Chevrolet Motor Division insulted my intellengence. For four months they had my PAID for Silverado, racked up over a thousand miles and all I got was Silverado's that vibrate just as bad as mine to drive...What a joke ! The ' DEAL ' that GM has made with the government and the unions at the tax payer expense, in my opinion should be the reason they get no more hand outs...Period ! All three of them have not a clue on how to run a business or provide any type of customer service ! All of their records clearly state this. I will continue to help as many as I can, and I have enjoyed helping the one's who have PM'd me. The facts are clear unless you care not to acknowledge it, Since 2013 GM has really not really made any positive ground on this ! And Why ? BECAUSE THEY DON'T HAVE TO ! ! ! I took my ' HIT ' like a big boy and like a few have mentioned, I ended up getting More Truck/Equipment for less money. Not only is my Ram vibration free, the transmission does not increase 300 to 400 RPM's on a up shifts, the injectors are quiet, no dash rattles, no paint runs. -

To a point, if the dealer wants to keep his franchise agreement they have to play by GM rules...period ! On the flip side sadly, to many ' Tech's ' today are nothing more then parts replacers. IMO, There is a combonation of issues going on here, frame, driveline, wheels & tires until it's isolated it will only compound the dis-satified customers that there seem to be more of everyday. It was not until I pointed out the safety concern that GM took me serious and this was after I drove the truck with the service manager and once the vibration started @ 75mph I started switching lanes back and forth and you could actually feel the back tires loose contact as the vibration became a feeling like it was riding on blocks. This was all under 500 miles and the fourth time in for what they deemed " Normal Opperation " I respectfully asked the service manager that if this was not a concern that I'd be more then happy to take ANY GM Engineer for the same ride...of course this would never come to pass and they wrote the check and sold it to someone else. -

GM and SOME Dealers really could care less, Record profits are their main concern It this would have happend to me I'd light them up on line ! It's bad enough that GM will not admit to an issue but to insult someones intellengence...No reason for that ! -

When it was all said and done I Was out just a tad over $200 .00. And remember GM had my Silverado for almost two months and put on over a 1,000 miles. I got my Ram before I settled with GM, as I needed a truck. I went from a basic W/T 1 with a few goodies and quite a few aftermarket items I could not remove because GM could not find a truck that did not vibrate. MSRP to MSRP I ended up with a Ram Tradesman with all of the equipment as a LT Silverado for roughly $3,800 less and ended up buying it for much less as the truck already had a 90 day floor plan on it. -

Mine had that too ! Also it would increase 300 to 400 RPM's before it would upshift, again " Normal Opperation " deemed by GM the excessive noise from the injectors and of course the vibration where they spent over two months and over 1,000 miles and never did figure it out. -

Isolated Just for a moment, think about the people that do not even know this site is here or the other two web sites and have to go into the dealer just to hear ' It's Normal Opperation " MUCH MORE " Widespread " just wait until this hit's the fan ! it will make the ignition recall look like a cake walk People's livelyhoods as well as their forms of transportation are a very big concern here ! Just why do you think that GM has not had ANY Customer Service people checking in like they used to ? And as far as " hearing from members as to how isolated this issue is " I would hope that you might have them post up their thoughts, I for one would like to bring them into reality ! -

Well everyone it's a sad day, one I thought i'd never see Two years ago today was the first post on the vibration issue I'll admit it was hard to swllow how I was treated by GM and their blaintent lack of customer loyalty while the whole time deeming my issues as ' Normal opperation ' It will not matter to GM if I never own one again, the record profits have clouded their judgement and now I'll have the nice fuzzy feeling in what goes around comes around. ! I sincerely hope that everyone that is still having issues a real fix is in the not to distant future and for the new members just joining, Yes we do feel your pain and what you've read here is real world people that have been mistreated by GM and the Holyer then now attitude they have. And remember, Be nice to the Dealer as he did not build this and has to play by GM rules or risk loosing his franchise. -
