  1. If you order a cap from a reputable dealer, they will know which rear door to order based on the configuration of your truck. My truck has the MultiPro tailgate and the cap fits perfect.
  2. Not sure why you’re getting conflicting info for a cap for your truck. Not sure what is normal, your truck bed is 6’ 10”. I get ARE caps for my trucks and have been getting them from the same dealer for over 30 years. The side win-doors makes it a little easier getting stuff in/out. They make them even with the cab or taller. Just got my 8th cap for my 8th truck yesterday. Mine is the the CX series. Maybe you want something like the MX or or TW series.
  3. Definitely some bad experiences ordering a truck. My 2024 AT4 HD is the first vehicle I’ve ever ordered. I sat down with the sales guy and built the truck. He went to the sales manager and came back with the order sheet with order number and RPO codes. I agreed with everything on the order sheet and gave them a $1000 deposit. The order went in the next day. The only suck part was that the truck was built in 2 months and sat in Flint which seemed like forever. Was delivered 6 weeks after being built. It was worth the wait. Pic was taken later in the day after I picked it up.
  4. I’m not going to run the tires at 40 psi. Currently at 55 psi and wouldn’t run them less than 50 psi. I didn’t need an HD truck but didn’t want some of the features on the new 1500’s. Difference between a 1500 AT4 w/6.2 and 6.5’ bed was ~$2k less than my AT4 HD. So my kids get a little less inheritance!
  5. Another JR, Thanks for the info. Based on your info I could run 40 psi in the front and 35 psi in the rear. Curb weight is 7637 lbs. I figure that with 2 passengers + cab stuff is ~450 lbs + 450 lbs in/on bed + curb = 8537 lbs. We don’t have scales here but there are 2 CAT scales across the lake and will take a ride one day and weigh my truck. I don’t think I’d run less than 50 psi. I tow a boat during the summer, not sure of the tongue weight, maybe 200 to 300 lbs or so. Will probably be negligible.
  6. Not a question on what pressures to run. Thought it was odd that I didn’t receive a TPMS error with the rear tire pressures at 56 psi and that the tire placard read -17 psi for both front and rear axles on my Autel TS508. I thought the tire placard on the Autel would read the same as tire placard on the door jamb label. I have read a post about others getting TPMS errors at 62 psi for rear tires.
  7. I brought my AT4 HD home last week and set the tire pressures to 60 psi for all 4 tires. Rode around the last few days. The bed is a little bouncy on our crappy roads but it is empty. Rides nice on the interstate. Getting an ARE cap put on this Friday. The cap and the rest of the stuff I put in the bed weighs around 450 lbs. Today I decided to reduce the tire pressures to 55 psi for all 4 tires. The DIC showed 56 psi. Went for a ride around the neighborhood and it read 57 psi when I got back. No TPMS sensor errors. Got out my Autel TS508 to read the placard tire pressures through the OBDII. Tire pressures for front and rear on the TS508 read -17 psi. I have the option to set them whatever I want but left as is. I have the tire pressures showing on the right side of the DIC all of the time. The MyGMC shows the recommended tire pressures at 59 psi / 69 psi. Not sure why the MyGMC page is different unless my Autel is not reading correctly through the OBDII. It's the first time I used it like that. I did read the sensors individually and they are reading correctly.
  8. After reading several posts with people trying to upgrade a truck model to another level like headlights, grills, steering wheels, etc, I would think it would be easier to buy the model with the options you want.
  9. I didn’t see the upfitter option when I ordered my AT4 in October. Picked up my truck 3 days ago and found the upfitter harness in a bag under the back seat. Thought it was kind of odd to have the harness and no switches on the dash.
  10. Picked up my 2024 2500HD AT4 three days ago and set the tire pressures to 60psi for all 4 tires. Haven’t received any TPMS errors yet. GMC app shows orange for the rear tires. I have an Autel TS508 that I use to relearn the TPMS sensors when I swap wheels. It’s supposed to read the tire placard pressures and be able to change the placard readings for certain vehicles through the OBD2 connector. When I get a chance I’ll check if it works on my truck. I know it won’t help you with the tire size.
  11. Truck came with BF Goodrich KO3’s. They have the 3 peak symbol for snow and will get through winter with them. I had Nokian Hakkapeliitta LT3’s on my 1500 and will get another set of wheels and Nokians for the AT4 HD for next winter.
  12. Pic of shifter and infotainment center. I’m 6’ 2” and the screen is not blocked by the shifter with my seat set up for me.
  13. 2024 AT4 HD, ordered Oct 5th and brought it home today. Already dirty on the ride home, winter in VT! GM running boards and splash guards. Adjusted air pressures to 60psi for all. Onstar shows orange for the rears but no TPMS error yet. If it does, I’ll change the placard pressures if the truck allows it with my Autel TS508. Barely fits in the garage, can’t open the tailgate. A lot longer than my 2018 Sierra 1500 SLE Double Cab. ARE cap gets put on next Friday.
  14. I’m picking up my AT4 HD on Thursday. Dealer has no discounts on HD trucks. Can get a good deal on a leftover 2023 GMC 1500 with the 2.7L 4 cylinder.
  15. Truck arrived last night and at the dealer ready for prep next week. Went to the dealer and checked it out. Old and new.
  16. The thread title and first sentence in the OP’s post threw me off.
  17. I might be missing something but not sure why someone would pay more for an LTZ or HC then spend more money to change the front end to an LT. Why not spend less and get an LT in the first place?
  18. I spread a little hate and discontent in the 2024 HD Order thread.
  19. Ordered AT4 HD Oct 5, built Dec 3. Sales guy called the day after Christmas and said that my truck was on its way and should arrive by end of the week. Swapped over my winter wheels/snow tires with the GMC wheels/Duratracs that day that I use for summer. Emptied the rest of the stuff from my truck including a home made box I've used in front of the bench seat to hold stuff including a cell phone holder mounted to the box. This is the third truck I've used the box in SLE 1500's. Stopped at the dealer at the end of the week to order running boards. Now the dealer is not sure where the truck is located. Update this past Saturday is that it didn't ship yet and now set to arrive Jan 14 to 16. Not happy. I live in Vermont and run true snow tires from mid-October to mid-April. The Duratracs should be ok if we get snow but my truck is stripped. Not plan on going far for now. I put the box back in, only takes a minute, so I can have a cell phone holder.
  20. You need a relearn tool when you swap wheels/tires with TPM sensors. The steering wheel button on the tire pressure page is just to put the truck in relearn mode.
  21. Concerned about this issue. My AT4 HD was built in early December waiting for rail delivery. Already cleaned out my current truck and had the cap removed at the ARE dealer. Truck is stripped to what it was when I first bought it. New cap is already on order.
  22. One more pic with a charger shelf behind the truck. Cords are wrapped around the back of the post. Truck was last driven yesterday morning, took about 2 hours for full charge.
  23. I know it’s an older post but put together a 7 way trailer plug for charging. I have two Battery Tender Jr’s and one Battery Tender Plus. I only ever use two of them at a time and used the ring lug connections. I took one of the three alligator clamps that I wasn’t using and cut it below the fuse holder. Used a Hopkins 7 way trailer plug from WW. Put it together and works good with my 2018 1500 with 2 of the maintainers. Don’t have a pic but looks like the one gemarsh posted. Will work on getting a 12v outlet in the cab whenever my AT4 HD arrives. Edit: Added pics.
  24. Maybe the OP needs the Cold Weather Steering Hose Upgrade Kit.
