man i sort of agree. I like the RST looks better but I like the 10spd. Especially with the gearing in both at 3.23 (although thats not much higher than 3.42s) I expect even the 8spd will be fairly snappy with those gears right?

Gents - the used market is just too nuts right now so I have switched to new trucks. Looking at a 21 Sierra Elevation with x31 or a 21 Silverado RST with z71. I know basically same truck except looks. Both 5.3, gm is 10spd auto, chevy is 8spd auto. Priced pretty close to each other. Thoughts on which one or is it really down to my looks preference? Thanks

yeah thats what I am struggling with. I think for that money or real close I can get into something newer - not as trimmed out but really SLE or LT trims are typically fine for me. Curious why you say 2016 or newer?

The build sheet says it is 3.08, but the build sheet also says it is Z71 package also and has the proper badging.

hey guys - latest one is a 2014 Sierra SLT. Well optioned, 85k. 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 for sale at Herron Chevrolet Buick GMC Ltd New Glasgow NS (herrongm.com) It drove well and felt pretty tight. Anything on this year I need to be wary of? A few things i noticed. Not much power but I need to be careful as it has 3.08s and I am used to my 6speed 6.2 Camaro. Also, I don't know what to expect regarding the transmission. Are these 6spd auto ok?

yeah I tend to agree unfortunately. Frigg sakes, the other issue is due to Covid trucks are selling a ton.

Carfax shows this however: 2020 Aug 23 Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada Estimate: NON-COLLISION | Estimate Date: 2020 Sep 28 $7,236.00 Claim: Miscellaneous $5,793.00 Would you guys quickly walk away from it due to the claim? Non-Collision means it wasnt in an accident. You can see from pics a few dents in bumper and looks like lower valance was twisted up. Whats the forums general thoughts on this one? Thanks Zinger.

yeah i do know to take anything on internet with a grain of salt. Just making sure no tranny or motor etc ongoing issues. Dealer told me 20inch wheels. Maybe those orange lights are just cosmetic type for looks - me no likey so would likely remove them. I also really like a spray in box liner and the remote start. Oh one other thing i can recall - notice the black in middle of hood, it seems it is almost a sticker for lack of a better word. Maybe some sort of paint protection but why only there? Hi folks - getting close to getting a ntm truck. Currently pretty interested in a 2018 Sierra 1500 SLE (with i think kodiak edition). Truck has 52000kms on it. Red in color, black wheels, remote start, heated seats blah blah blah Some earlier questions I have for you guys if you can: 1. Truck looks levelled - other than asking dealer how can I tell it is has been levelled? 2. Any issues you would warn me out or to look at? Yes I know how to use forum but threads are all over the place - i think generally its a pretty decent drivetrain right? 3. In the grille there is this row of small orange dots - i cannot tell if they are a factory something or what the hell they are - any thoughts? 4. Are those stock wheels do you think?
