  1. They are great! I have no complaints whatsoever...I used them on my 1500 also and had 3 years no issues.
  2. When I was at the plant in Flint watching my truck get built, we were told they build 52 trucks an hour on average. Pretty impressive...and that's just at Flint. Doesn't count all the ones at Oshawa.
  3. My 3500 gasser LT that's pretty much loaded has a payload of 4,040 lbs. I tend to agree with everyone here on the differences(frame, rear end, overload springs, no torque management in 1st gear). For the extra $1100, i'd go with the 3500 again all day long. I aired down the rear tires to 65ish and the ride is much better than at 80. No regrets at all on this truck.
  4. Ordered my 3500 Gasser Silverado CCSB on July 10th Order was accepted July 26th Went and watched it be born on August 31st(Had a connection at Flint Assy) Delivered to my dealer approx 10 miles from Flint Assy on Sept 14th Picking it up this Thursday since my schedule has been crazy the past few days lol
  5. Ordered my 3500 LT CCRB on July 10th. Waiting on the dealer to have an allocation. Thankfully I have a family friend that is up the food chain at Flint Truck so they are going to grab my order and I can go watch it get built(I live 15 minutes from the plant and work 2 minutes from it). Hoping the dealer gets an allocation soon.
  6. Here's to reviving an old thread. I did this exact setup this weekend. Went fairly smooth and all went together good. Only hickup I had was the rear cut is super close to the hanger so there isn't much room to get the clamp on. Had to do a little tweaking to get it all lined up but overall went well. I like the sound...not overly loud but can tell there is still something more than stock there. No drone noticed on the way into work this morning. Curious to see how it'll sound pulling the camper. Thanks to the OP for this write-up.
  7. It didn't extend the remote start time...just keeps it from turning off automatically after you start it manually. I went to Graff...GM gave them a hard time about getting the programming not only for me but a buddy of mine whos also on the fire dept with me.
  8. Any updates? Super curious how this worked out....
  9. On a slightly unrelated note, where abouts in MI are you? I'm about 10 minutes East of Flint....
  10. Any updates on this yet? Very interested to get your thoughts...especially with that pricing.
  11. I have the blue ones on mine. No complaints so far. I did not install the 1" spacers on mine. It does help a little with sag when hooked to our camper but I can def notice a difference in the ride with the camper hooked up...our weights are about the same as yours. Don't even notice them there when unloaded...no severe shock to the truck when going over bumps or anything either.
  12. Continental TerrainContact A/T's are supposed to be really good also. No personal experience with them yet but I'm planning on making them my next set of tires. I don't take the truck off road very much at all but I want something that's functional year round here in Michigan. Also I pull our travel trailer so need something with decent sidewalls...I'm past the point in my life of looks over performance with tires.
  13. For you guys that have already bought/installed these, are you going with the fog or driving optics? And sport or pro power level? Not sure what I want yet so looking for some feedback.
  14. I don't do anything special to keep it running. Start the truck via the pushbutton, when I get out I lock it with the fob, and it stays running. If I use the remote start, I start it, let it run for a bit, push the pushbutton, and continue on. Not sure what's going on with your truck sir...
  15. There is another thread with some more info on this here:
  16. I don't believe so(I could be wrong seeing as I don't have one) but I suppose that is a possibility. I had a buddy that had a 19 custom and his didn't time out after an hour but knowing GM, they could have changed the BCM programming lol
  17. So with the key, the vehicle will run after you put it in park until you shut it off. If you have the "push to start" button, then from the factory the vehicle will idle after you put it in park for 30 minutes with the keyless fob out of the vehicle and 1 hour with the fob in the vehicle then it shuts off. This programming removes the idle time-out feature the vehicle came with so it only shuts off if the button is pushed....or it runs out of fuel...which ever comes first.
  18. I had to go twice because the first visit, the dealer did TSB 21-NA-228 at my direction but the programming for that didn't work in my truck. When I went yesterday, they did 21-NA-056 and the programming for that one did work. If I would have known about 056 the first time, I wouldn't have had to go twice.
  19. I've noticed on Maps+ that it routes weird sometimes. It has wanted me to get off the freeway and go around in spots when Waze shows staying on the freeway and no issues. I thought it would be convenient to have it on the radio without having to plug my phone in but I find myself using Waze almost exclusively for navigation now. Maps+ def needs some updating and refinement still.
  20. The first time I went, the dealer only charged me labor which was $75. This time there was a charge from GM for the programming files and that was $100 but they didn't charge me labor for it so I'm in for $175 total.
  21. Morning all...I had the dealer do the above TSB(21-NA-056) and I can confirm it worked. I did have to pay for the program from GM and apparently GM Tech gave the dealer somewhat of a hard time about getting it but they were able to get GM to give it to them. Just thought i'd give an update for anyone debating on doing this.
  22. So i had this TSB completed on my truck last Monday...much to my disappointment, it didn't work. I reached on one of the FB groups, and someone posted this TSB that they said worked. I'm going to contact my dealer and see if they can give this one a try. Just as a heads up for anyone else looking to do this.
  23. I've been debating purchasing this also...not much out there on it. Searched YT also and nothing...
  24. Def going to be looking into this ASAP. I go direct to calls from time to time at my fire department and being able to not have to worry about the truck shutting off while on the side of the road which in turn kicks off my lights, would be great. Plus on those cold days, truck stays warm while we are out.
  25. I have the blue sumos and bilstein's on the rear. The bilstein's def improved the ride by themselves. We have a travel trailer close to the same weight as the OP and I notice a difference when pulling the trailer for sure. The sumos help with the slight bounce we had...no noticeable difference in ride quality when unloaded(maybe on some super harsh bumps...thanks MI roads). Of course a properly setup WDH hitch also helps with the bounce. Overall...very happy with our setup.
