  1. I'm with ya on the black wheels. Too "rattle can" looking. I know several people around here who has taken off black wheels for polished and or chrome.
  2. Whatever bud. I've had some 22's that were a little harsh in the past but that has to do with tire style and brand. I've had 18's that rode crappy and 20's that were smoother and rode better than 17's and 20's that rode better than Bridgestone 45 series 22's. It all depends. I've driven and ridden in many cars and trucks that rode smooth and some not so smooth. Ever notice tires on new sports cars, exotic cars, SUV's etc.? They're all low profile and actually more low profile than my 50 series 22". I've ridden in vehicles with tall sidewall tires that rode harsh. I can say without doubt and hesitation that these Michelin 22's ride as good as the 18's I removed despite theory or what you believe. Others have ridden in my truck before and after and say the same. It is what it is.
  3. And your point? What have you done to your truck? Can you share pics? What's the benefit in lifting a truck 6", putting flat black rattle can looking wheels with agressive Grapplers when the truck never goes off road?
  4. And I disagree with you as well. I removed 18's for 22's and can't tell any difference in ride and I'm savy on ride quality, vibration, and harshenss. We have good and bad roads here and I'm extremely satisfied with my 285/50/22 Michelins.
  5. Don't let anyone tell you 22's ride harsh. I've had many sets on many trucks. Actually I can't tell any ride difference between the 20's I had and the 22's. The 2018 and down used a 285/45/22 and for 2019 it's a 285/50/22. I'm running Michelin Premier LTX and the ride like a dream and balanced out with very little weight.
  6. Dang... Man I'm glad we don't have that here. Salt=rust and corrosion.
  7. Weird.... Should show an update from the version you have.
  8. Nice. Is reception still the same with antenna being enclosed under all the metal?
  9. These '22's are as smooth riding as can be. I have a good feel for smoothness and vibration and honestly can't tell the difference in ride vs. the stock '18's. These Michelin '22's are the best riding '22's I've ever owned and I've owned many sets on many trucks. Theory is, the more sidewall the better the ride. Not necessarily. There's all terrain tires with taller sidewalls that ride like crap. I've had '18's and '20's that didn't ride the best. I've had Bridgestone '22's that were a little harsh. The '22's for '19 are a 50 series sidewall instead of the previous gen 2018 and earlier 45 series. I'll recommend these wheels and Michelin tires to anyone.
  10. Nice choice. Welcome.
  11. Thanks for the compliments guys. Wheels are OE Creations 2019 GM style PR196 22" chrome and distributed by Wheelpros. I had them shipped to my local wheel dealer. These are real chrome plated and not PVD spray chrome. Fit and finish on these wheels are flawless and balanced out perfect with very little weight. Tires are Michelin Premier LTX and ride beautifully. The wheels are available in 20" or 22" in chrome, satin black and gloss black. I replaced my stock 18's with this combination.
  12. What ringing???? I here a little thumping but no "ringing". What's your definition of ringing?
  13. Aww BS...The dealer is full of it... When they told you that did you say well come show me that on others??? What trim is it LT? I've never seen that before. Looks like it was melted.
  14. Aw BS... not normal. Why when someone brings a problem to the service dept. it's always freakin normal??? Total crap... Don't accept the "it's normal" shit because it's not.
  15. Doesn't look like he took off too much. You should be good. I'd sand it smooth and paint it with silver/aluminum caliper paint. I don't like the 1/4" spacer though but if you're ok with it and you don't get any vibration then that's all that matters.
  16. You may not get a vibration it's pot luck. I just don't like the idea of grinding the caliper and hope it doesn't affect the structural integrity of it. Idk... How does it look? Was it smoothed out and painted? Can you see it through the wheels?
  17. No problem it's all good. If you were running the spacer on your '17 it was lug centric which means the wheel is relying on the lugs to center the wheel instead of the hub. Sometimes it doesn't give problems but sometimes it does. You're more opt to have a vibration being lug centric than hub centric. Like said, GM trucks like being hub centric ?.
  18. Yes I see the spacer. Here's the thing; the hub is around 8mm thick and the thickest spacer that can be used is 3mm (1/8") to keep it hub centric. Many wheels that are really close to the caliper only require a 3mm spacer. There's only one place I know of that makes a 3mm aluminum 6x139.7 - 78.1 bore spacer. So then, with the 8mm hub thickness and using a 1/4" or 6mm spacer that you have, that only leaves you 2mm of hub left and with the hub end taper and wheel bore taper, there's just not enough meat on the bone to grab the hub and keep the wheel hub centric.
  19. Wheel offset has changed for '19 due to larger 4 piston calipers. There's plenty of wheels out there that fit the '19 without using spacers or grinding the calipers. It's not only the offset but the angle of the spokes. The wheel you chose isn't for a '19. It may not affect anything grinding the caliper but personally, I wouldn't grind on my caliper or use spacers and would find the correct wheel for the '19. Plenty members here have the correct wheels although I'm sure some have found themselves grinding the calipers. Using a 1/4" spacer makes the wheel lug centric and won't be hub centric anymore and GM trucks don't like being lug centric.
  20. First off, what is it you are trying to do and why are you wanting spacers? What wheel are you running and what's the bore of the wheel?
  21. If you had vib before I surmise it's a tire issue. IDK..
  22. Yea that's what I was saying. You have a different vib issue. So you didn't have any vib before removing the block?
  23. Check this thread out page 2. Member 19trailbossRic installed 2" drop shackles using the 1.5" hole. I don't think he's having any vibration problems.
