  1. Well, not so much for the RetraxOne, it only has one locking point which is not very good. RetraxPro covers have two locking points. The best is RollNLock A-Series if you are using the tailgate hardware piece. RNL is the only cover with four locking points.
  2. I hope you got the Rollbak cheap, it's been discontinued for a while now.
  3. I've read horror stories about NFabs. I'd probably stick with GoRhino's.
  4. Yep, all information is correct according to my research. Here's some interesting information: Go to YouTube and look up Undercover ChromaFlex (has painted panels). I'm not sure when this will be available though.
  5. I did not send a message to you. You think I own truck gear or something? I wish! Lol
  6. Anyone know if there is a price difference (Truck Gear vs MX4)?
  7. The RetraxOne MX has a matte finish.
  8. It's a known issue. If you wish to inquire further, Google search "cracked Retrax".
  9. The aluminum is a better choice. The Lexan is not as UV light resistant and will tend to crack over time if it's in the sun a lot.
  10. Why would you buy a MX4 which has a 3-year warranty instead of a Truck Gear Stealth cover which is a rebadged MX4 cover but has a lifetime warranty?
  11. Unfortunately, the answer is no. If you had a regular lid, then the Extang Solid Fold 2.0 (toolbox edition), Access Lorado (toolbox edition), and Extang Trifecta 2.0 (toolbox edition) would be available.
  12. All covers have their pros and cons including FoldACover. DARIN mentioned some pros. One small con, though, is that FoldACover still uses metal "piano" hinges which no one uses anymore. The seal that keeps water out of the piano hinge tends to break over time. The heavier the use of folding the cover, the quicker the seal will break. If you don't fold it very often, the seal should last a long time. The seal is replaceable.
  13. About what is your price range?
  14. A new Truck Gear (by LINE-X) cover which is the same exact cover as a MX4 is now available, but it has a lifetime warranty. Bak's website shows the Bakflip MX4 has a 3-year warranty.
  15. Those look like GoRhino Dominator D4 steps.
  16. New covers coming somewhere around April to July: The current Truck Gear by LINE-X hard folding cover (which is much like a Bakflip Fibermax) will change to an MX4 model. You get a lifetime warranty. Undercover has a folding cover with painted panels to match your truck. Another Truck Gear by LINE-X hard folding cover (don't know the name) which will have LINE-X applied to the panels. Sometime after the introduction of the Truck Gear cover, Undercover's Armor Flex will be introduced which might be the same cover.
  17. Be careful who you buy the AMP steps from. If they are not an authorized vendor, you will not have a warranty.
  18. If you bought your Undercover Ultra Flex on 3-1-18 or after (through 3-31-18), there's a $75 rebate.
  19. The way the brackets are engineered, I don't see how downward force is going to flex the brackets.
  20. I believe it's the Jeep that's flexing, not the steps. We will see what happens on a truck.
  21. They will be available for trucks in the future.
  22. You realize that the brackets are not really attached to the rocker panel? They are attached to a steel beam that's underneath the doors. They're no more subject to rust that the frame.
  23. I sort of disagree. Both have pros and cons. The problem with frame mount is that they require longer brackets and thus cause more stress on the frame. Rocker mount has shorter brackets and are fine as long as the brackets are well made. The most common type of mount is rocker panel and I've never really heard of anyone tearing off their step bars from the mount.
  24. You may need to get rid of your drop-in plastic bedliner. You won't be able to install ANY cover that requires the installation of rails. So, you might consider a cover such as the Extang Trifecta.
  25. Agreed, that is a steal! Brand new with the bedliner coating is like $2,200.
