  1. Thanks for the thoughts! I just asked dealer A service guy and he said he'd be happy for me to continue working with them. Also pointed out I had one additional oil change from what dealer A had shared with me. Dealer A noted that I have 2 oil changes since it's certified. But dealer B made sure tonpoibt out the previous owner never used the second one from buying the truck new (truck had 8000miles on it). So, I gained the extra oil change (or at least, didn't have to point it out to anyone ).
  2. Some of the GMC wheels are nice. I might look for a set. Thanks for the replies!
  3. I purchased my used certified (2 oil changes, slightly extended warranty, etc) from dealer A. I've worked with dealer B a lot in the past and would like to keep my service business with dealer B. My assumption is that warranty work, etc earns the dealer some money. Even if it's part of the warranty period. Dealer B is in a small town and not super busy, but they are by far the best dealership I've never dealt with. I want to do my (small) part in keeping dealer B profitable. Question- since I purchased a certified vehicle at dealer A, does dealer B benefit at all from me getting all my service done with dealer B?
  4. Anyone know if it's possible to put wheels from a 2500 or 3500 on a 1500 truck? I have an LTZ and would like to keep GM chrome wheels but want 18 inch so I have better tire options than the 20 inch wheels that came with the truck. I can't find any 18 inch wheels to match my truck but I see plenty of HD takeoffs I can get for a good deal. Is this possible?
  5. congratulations! I think Apple CarPlay or android auto are the way to go for navigation anyway. Maps will always be up to date (automatically and for free), you can add destinations from your phone before getting into the truck, etc.

  7. I'm also interested. Looking to replace stock tires. I tow about 9000lbs, put lots of highway miles, and would like something that works well in snow during the Minnesota winter. Any suggestions?
  8. Here is a copy of my component letter. This warrants my steering components 75k miles and 60 months from now. I'm assuming these parts are not covered in my 5yr/100k power train. I expressed concern to my service tech about having issues after the warranty period, noting how happy I've been with their help thus far. He had to file a request with GM. Once it was approved, he called and talked me though what it meant and I got the letter about a week later. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk

  11. I doubt it but it might. the beds are different widths front-to-back, meaning they are not always perfectly square. Worth measuring though. Also might be close enough that it would work and just be a tiny bit off. I used a non-matching camper shell for a while because it gave a place for my dogs to go after going to the lake. I was okay looking at the mis-matched shell because I knew it was saving my interior
  12. Cool video. I used to do this with my 88 Volvo 740.. took a bit longer to max out around 114mph ;). Seeing the "4 wheel drive shift in progress" notificaiton made me physically uncomfortable. Assuming it was automatically shifting OUT of 4x4, but under a lot of stress. Glad you're enjoying your ride!
  13. I had a 2011 Silverado Ext cab, 5.3, 3.42, Z71, with Convenience package and i LOVED that truck. Those body styles looked best with extended cab. Never had any issues with mine. ended up upgrading primarily for the need to move to crew cab. I still miss that truck. I'd buy another one without hesitation.
