  1. Hi! I recentally got a 2009 Silverado WT and I was supposed how easy it was to add the Dic and I was wondering if any of you have done some other upgrades where all of the wiring and everything is there. Thanks!
  2. Hi everyone, So since my purchase of a 2016 Silverado 1500 in May the main problem I've had with the truck is its inconsistent ride quality. The truck is a WT with power windows and locks. Cloth seats. And vinyl floor. The truck only has 27000 miles, well kept and maintained. Used as a commuter truck to work, aswell as work on the side (Electrician). Truck was purchased with only 22000 miles on it. No issues other than leaking pinion seal which is in the process of being fixed. At first I thought it was the tires so I had them balanced, rotated, and had an
  3. Got my hands on a 2020 Silverado 2500hd! Long awaited for me for sure, seeing that they are making their way on to lots. Lets start! Exterior: This particular truck I drove was a Work Truck. In person, the HD is much easier on the eyes, but the WT is, I feel, the least attractive. I think its the black grille treatment that puts me off. This truck had the 17" carryover steel wheels, wrapped in LT265/70R17 Firestone TransForce AT tires (yes, the carryover AT not the AT2). Options list was minimal, including the WT Convenience Package, Integrated Trailer Brake Controller, the
  4. I sell, fabricate, deliver, install and train workers how to use my packaging lines. In 2015 selected 2500HD WT 6.0 as the platform to use as my office (Truck Camper) and and tow vehicle. It provided great HD service and economical (per mile basis). On a trip to OR noted a resonance with my thumb on the steering wheel, when engine load changed going over an overpass. At first I thought it was roadway groves, but the rhythmic vibration stopped when manually dropping into a lower gear, increasing to 3000 RPM's. Not willing to chance break down north of Mount Shasta, returned home, swit
  5. Hi! I have a 2015 Silverado 1WT that does NOT have keyless entry. I'm a bit miffed because the salesman told me it could be added at a later date, but when I called the dealership they told me it couldn't be added. So I've come across a TON of different responses on this forum and others - all of which give conflicting advice. I'm left with my head spinning as to whether or not it can be done. Here's my info: 2015 Chevy Silverado Double Cab - 1WT Currently NO KEYLESS entry These are the RPO codes (note: no AQQ)
  6. Zane Merva Executive Editor, GM-Trucks.com 10/26/18 General Motors is moving farther along the process of testing the forthcoming 2020 Silverado HD and we've got photos to prove it. Our spy photographer recently captured what looks to be work truck style trim level 2020 Silverado HD's testing on public Michigan roads. He notes: ------ We caught Chevy engineers testing prototypes for its work-spec Silverado 2500 HD WT pickups, conducting towing testing and standard unladen tests on Michigan highways. The latest prototypes have dropped a
  7. Howdy all, I am new on here. I purchased a 2005 Silverado WT Non-AC 4.6L MT back in May of this year and shortly after I have a difficult time rotating the vent selection knob on the climate control. It became so difficult to rotate the vent selection knob that I actually cracked the knob and now have to use a vise grip locked onto the knob shaft inside the climate control. Even with the extra leverage from the vise grip it is still difficult to select vents. Has anyone ever had this issue? I have taken the dash apart before and have not seen any obstructions that would cause this. Any insight
  8. I have a 2008 crew cab WT and a donor 2008 crew cab SLE I'd like all the SLE features and want to know what modules I'll need to swap without getting my BCM reprogrammed. My dealer won't do it for me. So Im ready to change all necessary modules in my truck with the donor truck including the ignition. Can you tell me if this is possible and what I'll need to do and what modules to replace? I understand they go by VIN or something. But if I get all the stuff from the donor and move it over to mine it should work without locking me out of the truck right?
  9. So, I'm looking to install a remote start system in my truck. I know some trucks already come with it wired up just does not come with the keys. My truck is a 2016 Silverado WT, which does not have it installed. I need some input on which one you guys think is the best for the money. Thanks for the help in advance!
  10. On a 2004 Silverado C1500 WT, I’m adding mirror with temperature/compass trying to get as close to factory default installation as possible (aka no splicing/soldering). I saw the Chevy trailblazer forums and followed their advice, but I ran into a snag when installing the temperature sensor under the hood. The pins appear to be different from my donor vehicle (2004 Chevy Trailblazer) for the sensor under the hood. Does anyone have any photos of where the ambient temperature sensor connects to on a Silverado (I.e. Pin outs)? I’d like to make sure I’m not doing something stupid lik
  11. Hey all! Im a newb from Maine. Maine, where the trucks are all Silverados and they rot like a tuna can! I drive a 09 Silverado WT Ext Cab with a few extra nice things that made he happy to buy it new. It has a in dash brake boost for towing, power locks, floor shifter (duh...wt) rubber floors ( i wanted them, bad) factory dark tinted glass, Victory red, HD towing and such, and a yummy 5.3L. It does what I need it too, and it being bright red goes with me well as my salesman put it, Im a Vollie firefighter and this would be my POV for calls and to the station. From the time I bought it,
  12. Hi I have the 4.2 non-touch screen smaller screen stereo in my 2015 Silverado. I plug my iPhone in using the USB. It is an iPhone 6s Plus and is at iOS 9.2.1 for the software release. Doesn't matter what iPhone, iPod or apple product I connect using the USB cord the songs freeze, skip like an old record. Dealer can't fix it, they keep telling me there are no updates, I had the dealer get the keys to a 2016 wt with the 4.2 stereo and it did the same thing. This has been going on since I got the truck. Has anyone else had this issue and has anyone had this issue fixed?
  13. I am purchasing a new K&N cold air intake kit for my truck to primarily try to improve gas mileage (extra power always a plus too). I plan to get the K&N Performance Intake kit with the polyethylene tube shown here: http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/k-n-performance-intake-kit-57-3031-1/17401676-P?searchTerm=intake K&N seems pretty reputable. I also read the polyethylene tube is better than a aluminum chrome tube since the aluminum can heat up from the heat of the engine and decrease the performance of the cool air intake. My question is do I need to buy a different air flo
  14. The $1,595 Black Out package adds 20-inch painted aluminum wheels, P275/55R20 all-season blackwall tires, deep tinted glass and black bowties. Chevy prices a 2WD regular cab Silverado WT featuring the Black Out package at $28,895. Of course, the only color option for this package is, you guessed it, black. "The package is available for order now, and customers can have any color they want, as long as it is black."
  15. Zane Merva Executive Editor, GM-Trucks.com 2/20/2015 Silverado work truck buyers now have a slick option to add a lot of style and some dubs to their pickup on the cheap. Starting today, Chevrolet is offering a new package specifically for WT regular-cab and double-cab trucks.
