Has anyone successfully lifted with the 3.5” RC and have the rear mono leaf? I have posted about this before… turns out you get a whole bunch of clunking back there after a while. U-bolts torqued to spec. Anyone?
You can keep your leafs. There’s a few kits now. Rough country also sells rounded ubolts at 3.25” wide which fit perfect. There’s a 1/4” plate under the leaf that’s 3” wide to give the leafs full bearing for the axle. Keep that. Put a block under it. RC nylon blocks seem to fit well. Yes I know you shouldn’t stack blocks but I’m not considering that plate a block. It has lips and groves to hold it in place. Without it, the blocks are only 2.5” wide which I’m sure isn’t good for the leaf. Do at your own risk.
Besides cost... is this even a fair comparison? I'm guessing the LTZ pushing near 25-30k cheaper and you'll be saving a buck but everyone is going to pick the AT4x if cost isn't a factor.
Autostop eliminator works just fine on mine and the install really isn't that bad. Sure a few more panels but straight forward. I did it in my 21 and 22 refresh, no big deal.
Don't see why not, the bottoms are identical, the backs may be the upgraded storage version but I replaced my regular back with a storage back model in my 21 Silverado.
Yeah, that's just regular leaf springs. GM really turned me off by not advertising the new polymer leafs at all and just dropping them in the trucks. Seems to be Chev LT models and GMC Elevations without max tow but with x31 or z71 that are getting them.
Well this was all extremely informative. Can't believe they made a system that doesn't require any human input! GM did something right finally. Going to be getting sensors on my winters in the next few days to avoid the light.... been looking at that for years in past cars and I'm done with it. Thanks for all the info.
Was at the dealer yesterday looking at some take off rims. Came off a 2022 limited model. Parts guy is saying the tpms do no not talk with the software in the refreshed models even though they are both 433hz. Anyone run into this issue? I know the 18's and older used 315hz sensors which causes an issue.
The heater plug in your bumper plugs into another harness behind the bumper. It has a thermostat built in. I'd suspect it's the thermostat that's the issue. You can order the harness and install, nothing too difficult as you already have the layout of where it needs to be.
