  2. I've been after this problem for quite a while and dealer couldn't solve it. Temp gage falls out ac goes off fans go on high check engine comes on. Turn off ignition restart sometime it resets sometime not. Lately temp goes up overheat message on dash then back to normal and falls out again I changed coolant sensor and checked connector no difference. Noticed battery ground was not fully tight with 10mm nut tighten all the way. Also noticed voltage fluctuations when temp gage and ac falls out. I cut a copper pipe to act as a sleeve on battery post and was able to snug cable. Problem solved I believe it was the voltage drops from lose battery cable.

  3. I had a comical experience Saturday coming home from visiting my mother. I was driving the odyssey and behind me was a RAV4. I noticed when the light turned green he was on me hard so I goosed it to 60. Next light he was along side. When the light changed it was on to 60 MPH. After awhile he went by to get in front of me. On his plate was a pow license plate. Two old timers having a little fun. Later on the couch I said to my wife of 49 years. Could you imagine that we be doing stop light drags in a minivan. Yes we had a good laugh.

  4. Illuminated front logos have been around for years, you are not blasting a light bar at eye level, with the defusuer it is just illuminating the logo.

  5. u1510 on a gm pickup is usually a problem with the active shutters motor. your other 3 codes are all fuel related to the high pressure pump. check wiring to the pump and sensor. pull your oil dipstick and smell the the oil, if it smells like gas could be the high pressure pump is failing

  7. @Newfie1980, if you end up going the Pulsar LT route post a follow-up & let me know how it worked out. Curious if this was a one-off fix that just worked well because of my own driving style & habits, or if this would be a generic fix for anyone going the muffler delete route before I recommend to anyone else. But either way, would definitely recommend the Pulsar LT for the throttle alone. Set to +30% (30mph in the settings) is the perfect sweet spot and makes a huge difference.

  8. 14k GVWR, so fully loaded. We already have a 32' travel trailer that we've had for years, and we are upgrading due to wanting to take longer than just weekend trips, longer distance trips, and because our kids are getting bigger and outgrowing our current setup. Our plan is to have this fifth wheel for the next 5-8 years, or until the kids stop wanting to come with us, then downsize to a bit smaller fifth wheel that we will potentially keep much longer, all the while keeping the same truck. Right now I'm pulling around 7400lbs with my half ton, that has a capable tow capacity of 9600lbs. It's ok, it's not necessarily "white knuckle" but it can definately be mentally draining on longer trips since I have to do all the driving. And with my current setup being at about 77% maximum towing capacity, and the new setup if I went with gas i'd be at about 79% of my max towing capacity, I just kind of assumed that I would end up in a similar situation. All that being said, and as an update to the thread, I placed an order this week for a 24 3500 AT4 Duramax.

  9. The rubberized stuff like Zebart? Never again.... Eric O from south main has a pretty good video on why. I agree with everything he says here since i have experienced it myself. Had a truck done this way and within 5 years the frame was coming apart and the truck was junk. Been using fluid film ever since and had no issues. If i still lived in the salt belt the fluid film place would have been the first stop for my 2024. I will have it done next time i'm in the north east with the truck but for now here in Florida i should not need it... I will spot spray any places that the wax has moved or come off.
