  1. Drove it back form Atlanta, total miles was 848 and average mpg was 17. I don't think that is to bad considering I did 80 most of the trip and had about 600lbs of oil and stuff in the bed. Plus the Toyo Open Country ATIII's are heavy and the 2.5" lift.

  2. Just the sad state of the internet. We are the products now and nobody cares. I’ve noticed lately even YouTube is littered with shitty AI generated and narrated videos that are full of bad information on any topic you want to search for. And it’s even hitting my business. Had a guy yesterday return a bunch of stuff that AI told him he needed for his system but didn’t. With friends like AI, who needs enemies?

  3. When my truck would go over a little bigger bumps or dips in the road it would bounce you around. Seemed like the shocks could not settle the suspension fast enough. Example I would hit a dip and it would cycle up and down multiple times until it leveled out. Excessive in my opinion. The Fox shocks eliminated most of this. I hit the same dip now and it cycles very few times and levels out right away. This makes it ride smoother IMO. Also for the steering I have an LT and it has the standard steering. If I got in ruts in the road it was easy to have the truck drift and the steering seems a little loose. Also over some roads I could feel the roughness of the road in the steering wheel. The Fox steering stabillzer fix this for me. Alot of this could be because I came from a 1500 truck and never drove a 2500hd daily before and I notice these differences and want it be closer to the handling of that.

  4. I finally found a 4,400lb FAWR truck. Verified by door sticker. When fully closed, this indicator is off by .0035. So the actual measurement is approx. 1.4865" or 37.757mm. I measured fairly close to the sticker like newbie did. Unless these bars have graduated thickness, and given the likely error tolerances of our instruments, it looks we may have an answer?

  5. I didn't have any steering issues until I went to 37s. After that I got a rapid shake above 60mph A Cognito PISK and Rancho stabilizer put it better than stock with no bump shimmy or anything. FYI, Fox and Bilstein stabilizers are gas charged and generally discouraged for this application as they will constantly pull to one side. The Rancho is an oil cushion with no charge. You can pull it out by hand and it will stay in place. Gas charged stabilizers are for dual-opposing set ups on straight axles.

  6. If your main concern is towing and body float/roll limiting, than 5100s for the price are a good bet. They are stiff as a board and control well. The downside is that they are stiff as a board. Unloaded driving is harsh and will knock the phone out of your wife's hand running over an ant.

  7. Update: Local GM dealer scanned my truck but couldn't find anything definitive on the no start issue. Did however find a code b1370 - control module ignition on run/start circuit open. Did circuit testing for ignition switch and found all live data within spec. Tested for shorts to ground and power through connector, tested resistance from switch to BCM. No problems with circuits. Does however recommend replacing ignition switch. I have ordered switch but as of yet not replaced. Hoping this will solve issue. Time will tell. Any comments? Thanks Gord

  8. Just put in any 0W40 or 5W40 oil, it's going to be just fine. It's just a camshaft swap, it doesn't need specific racing oil.

  9. That’s awesome! Great numbers for a cam swap. So you didn’t put that crazy intake on? What lifters and rods did they put in? How does it pull off the line? Up top?
