  1. Yeah 4x4 and hunkasteel. The bumper only weighs about 150 pounds though.
  2. It seems light.... my 2006 is 5400, have to let some more 2wd guys chime in.
  3. Yep. I don't mind though, unless it cuts into the junk motor supply too much.
  4. Yeah all those cars with LS motors are lame. It's getting too crazy with all these cars with motors that don't leak oil and start when you hit the key.
  5. Mine was nasty, pulled tail and headlights, crawled under and washed out the frame and in between the bedsides and box.
  6. I crawled underneath and cleaned out all the dust and road brine. Washed the rest too.
  7. That's what I'm going to do, check all the connections. It's strange to me that the light and not just defrost will turn it back on. Everything but the radio is fully functional when it's cut out. Additionally, I had the radio come back on in acc mode shutting off the pickup, and then die again when I turned it on. Maybe a RAP issue? I need it to quit working so I can test for RAP power when it's not functional. My first thought is the BCM is going bad, and cutting juice to the radio until something spikes the voltage and wakes it up. Seems unlikely though. The next possibility is a bad connection somewhere. And I guess another possibility is just a crazy radio.
  8. Yep a baby with a radio that doesn't always work. Sometimes if I press the defrost button or turn on the bed light it will turn back on. I don't get it. The radio has been resetting itself randomly when I turn on the pickup sometimes ever since I've had it. But the radio dying while driving or refusing to turn on is new.
  9. I rolled over to 120k coming back from the mountains. Truck is running great. However, my cabin fan started making noise, and my radio shut off and wouldn't come back on, both RIGHT after it rolled over. Radio is back, but the fan is still making a noise like a leaky window.
  10. My favorite ford color is the black metallic. I like fleck colors, GM should do more.
  11. I want it cold so the salt doesn't do as much damage and it will start snowing. That's what I came here for lol
  12. Block heater doesn't do anything for getting warm air into the cab, and it still takes a while to get the coolant warm. Unless it's extremely cold (-30 or less) I'd bet the electricity to run the heater costs more than the fuel to idle for a few minutes.
  13. I wish there was cold and snow in Colorado
  14. Forget lift, glass fenders and long travel for the win.
  15. I rode around in the backseat to find a rattle. I think I got it. I believe it was the mesh over the speaker.
  16. Ever worked on an old AM radio? All this new stuff is just plug and play. If I wanted great sound I'd just delete Bose and start from scratch. A good aftermarket stereo will be complicated but if you do it all at least you'll understand it.
  17. It's very easy, if you remove the knee panel you can see everything. If I tapped on the right hand side of the block, the part visible in that pic, it would recreate the sound. I just shimmed in between the metal framework and the plastic outer shell.
  18. Drove around with the knee panel off yesterday and found my buzzing sound. The framework the mini fuse block attaches to was slightly vibrating against another piece it's spot welded to. So I shimmed it with some felt and now it's quiet!
  19. Easily the cleanest I've seen.... Looks like my pickup when I got it.
  20. There isn't a distinct cutoff but with regular housings the beam "stops" like a projector would. It more or less "fades"
  21. http://edgeproducts.com/products/insight-cts-83830/ http://edgeproducts.com/products/back-up-camera-license-plate-mount-for-cts-A98202/ Like I said, $$$
  22. Yes that would be very cool, if you don't mind spending some $, the Insight CTS monitor can accept signal from a backup cam. Actually I believe it's a CTS you posted in 234.
  23. Do it now, the longer you wait the more likely you'll need to do the latch too. And it's $$$$
