  1. I'm jealous, looks like a good time at the dunes
  2. I try not to put miles on. If I get the job I want this summer I'll get a pos to drive.
  3. 15,000 mile wear update on the Coopers: They are wearing well so far. No cupping. They have gotten noisier but with the radio on 25% or more I don't notice it. We'll see this winter if snow traction is still as good. Dry pavement is about the same. You can see the first wear bars in the middle tread, not down to it yet. I would guesstimate 5-10k before they wear that far. I did a lot of gravel driving this summer and the tread has held up well as far as gashes and chunks.
  4. Have you seen what's on rockauto?
  5. Rolling on dem 17's

  6. You'd be surprised how hard it is for some people to learn how to rig a worm so it won't pick up weeds. Or paddle a canoe. Or practice patience.
  7. Does she know how to properly put a plastic worm on?
  8. I have the spinning rod. Have a 2500 series Shimano on it. But the rod is 7' and I want a different reel. Maybe a 3500 Okuma. I use spinning because I like to fish worms without any weight.
  9. I got a bass pro rod recently. The midline $100 one. It's way more than I expected from a store brand. Super responsive, it's like you can read the bass's mind.
  10. It's easy to get good mileage in the mountains. Even though I like to have fun. Especially in tunnels.
  11. Sarah you should come live by me. Bring friends. Lol jk, if I lived that close to dunes I wouldn't want to leave. My dusty pickup hung out with a Z06 earlier
  12. I drove back to school. Saw one of my new neighbor's car with a "coexist" sticker on it. This will be interesting.....
  13. The most important rule when it comes to things like hubcaps, fender liners, etc is that it's impossible to keep water and dust out. All you can do is keep it in. I think wheel well liners would do more harm than good because you wouldn't be able to wash out the sides and fenders fully.
  14. I clean them out with water every time I wash the pickup. I've never seen them bad on the inside.
  15. If it's anything like the old ones you can buy the plastic shell and just swap the "chip" into it. I would still try and get a dealer to replace it, shouldn't wear out that soon.
  16. They look nice, now I'm wanting to buy more lights
  17. If it's synthetic no harm in leaving it in there... I've only put 4k on my pickup since February, at this rate I'll only need to change my oil once a year.
  18. May as well do both, 2 birds 1 alignment.
  19. Doesn't need some damn tv. When I was his age I rolled in the backseat of an 89 tercel. No AC in it either.
  20. Sounds like they don't have a "real" scanner... The one the dealer has can pull the code
  21. I helped my buddy move. Heavy haulin.
  22. I drove back to Kansas. It's depressing how dry it is here.
  23. If it's working the trouble code will clear right away and the CEL will shut off soon (unless it's got another reason to be on ). I blew it out once before I replaced it. If the solenoid is seized up you can probably free it up, but better to replace it with the revised version IMO. Yeah the other piece in the picture is the remote filter, they say to put it on top of the tranny but I thought it would be cleaner under the hood. No issues with it there (yet).
  24. Yeah that's typical lol. You can clean it and free up the solenoid but you saw the location. It will plug again for sure, haha
