  1. Like this then just a -10an cap. Say all under $20 super clean and easy install. I would go in the corner of the pan. Drill and bolt together. Done. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  2. You can also buy a mamba bulk head fitting it has 2 metal and oil seals on it. Drill hole and install in would use lock tight and crank it down. Then buy a cap. Very cheap and very good. No need to paint or worry about rust. If you exhaust isn't stock or at least doesn't have the cross pipe in the way of pan the moroso pan for the Camaro fits and looks better. Normal like $300 but Amazon had it for $97. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  3. Do you have stock exhaust? Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  4. You are very correct but he is 6 speed I thought. I am in dozens of forums and post so it is hard to keep track all the time.
  5. The recall on battery cables comes to mind but that should post a history code.
  6. Flush is good and pan drop is good I would base it on mileage and if there are trans issues you are trying to address. Issue with pan drop is the cooler and lines are blocked of and the converter holds 2 quarts also. this is why the flush is better. However the pan drop you can see if there is debris and get to the filter. If I was having issues and it was higher mileage I would do both flush till clear then drop pan and swap filter and clean it up then fill it. There is still a fill plug where a dip stick goes so it isn't hard. But truck has to be idle in neutral so the pump can move the fluid. I see people just fill and start the truck dry. These trans are very expensive and the tcm is inside so swap with a junk yard trans isn't that simple. So the extra $90 for cheap fluid to flush is worth it.
  7. They all a special fill. But so you not have the dip stick tube? It is amazing how many can't properly flush and fill those. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  8. Your right d6 is the spec. Redline is the brand. We have ran redline for 21 years in performance setups. And royal purple in engine oil. But now run HPL oil in the race stuff, still royal purple in daily truck. We have dynoed and seen the gain on back to back pulls. I agree like swap water vs. Spring fresh mountain water. I expect good things. My billet 3 clutch stall is rebuilt by me and soaking in the garage. I then drain it day before and fill with 2 quarts of the good stuff before install. 9. I want it behind the front bumper between the frame rails horizontally. I will make steal braces amounts that bolt to factory frame rails. I think it is better protected there from the elements and the line can run down the driver side to the trans. Also note that replacement mount for the trans has no thermostat. The factory does have a block off. Also have a aluminum deep pan. So huge increase I fluid amount. If all this doesnt work I am out of ideas. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  10. A little but not enough to make the difference. The trans lines go to radiator so when that is 180* plus hard to expect the trans fluid to be less. I am told I must remove those line and install largest cool I can. Also nothing mounted on radiator. And D6 fluid. When you.spend 10k on a performance trans. $400 for cooler and lines is no big deal. 11. Issues are many but the automotive world is in some agreement that this dexros VI is it's own enemy. They set it to be good to 240* then the engineers set the trans to run around 209*. First and many agree most important is get that temp down. 104* is minimal base operational temp. Not that lower hurts at all. Never more than 180* max. Then as I have said before the afm and DOD cause so many problems. The stall converter should be much better and then the tran will hold with no issues. To much computer control. Burned up clutches then will destroy the best fluids and heat up super fast. If it was me I would buy a good stall converter, modified thermostat and external trans cooler. These trans are crazy expensive. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  12. Amsoils is 2or3 best you can run. But no the fluid isn't the reason the teams has issues so don't expect the fluid to fix or prevent and issues.
  13. Center of pan on the 6 speed is the flush and bleed service plug. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  14. Is that the drain or the bleed fush plug? Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  15. Should have metered out the cement in the glass and seen where the issue was if there was one. But happy they did something for you. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  16. How many mile are you at? We are seeing a tread on this. I am wondering about bad valve do to debris build up and burnt oil. Also did they clean with a solvent or blast the runers?
  17. The largest fuses are tight there in the battery distribution center use a meter or test light and just check the post sides for power.
  18. Not to make you worry or go in circles but there are bulletins about the cleaning causing issues in the cats and O2 and the problems stated are misfires. I would say at the data log of it so you can watch the injectors is a must. It will be night and day difference on the screen. You will see the issue. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  19. I am thinking injector however. I just swap out plugs and wire for the cost to headaches value. Meter out the coil wires. But a performance shop would be able to log injector pulse in real time. As will as coils, misfire, O2 banks, and a million more. They could also override the ect idle tables just to see if it changes anything. Injectors are cheap but then 8 of them and 2 high pressure lines. Also when you are in there look at the intake ports on the heads for oil buildup and take a picture for you records. Also it is IMO a must to spray clean in the intake when it is of and let it dry. Same with TB and maf. Then when back together recalibrate the maf tables. Sorry it sounds like a lot but it is each just a few minutes simple stuff. Depending on miles on truck have shop look at the o2 sensors with the scanner down stream bank 1 and 2. On cold start there is a cat warm up.
  20. Many months ago I searched for days for it and couldn't find it. When he was selling them I didnt need it but then I got the Note 9 a d doesnt fit. As I said the 2nd charger mod seems the better choice in the long run anyways. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  21. There is a "hidden" abs plastic cover you can buy cheap for the huge pocket in front of the cupholders then buy a good wireless chargers and hardwire it to cigarette port. Mount charger pad to underside of plastic. Faster charger and charges everything that is wireless and is easy install. I like the phone up front more anyways. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  22. Or the 2nd charger mod that the best option. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  23. I know I'm opening a can of worms but there is/was a person out there selling larger plastic trims. They are black cnc pieces that are smooth and perfect. At the time I didnt need it now I do. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  24. I understand some people's positions and respect there option on how they wish to deal with it. I can assure you something has very much been done about it. The consumer just hasn't been notified or serviced on it yet. But GM is very aware of the issue. At this point the issues isn't large enough to issue a full recall. If and it may be "forced" to adress the issue gm will wait till last minute in Hope's to reduce the costs. Much like the airbag recall that never even made it into most vehicles. I'm simply saying if you wish to have it covered and addressed without out of pocket expenses. Best to handle it with service rep and then at the end post the results as "evidence". Maybe someone with knowledge will leak the cause of the issue a the proposed fix. However I know most all will not do it as they view it as a GM issue. [emoji849] Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  25. I understand people's frustration and disappointment in GMs action on this matter. However please do NOT post in here. You are destroying you ability to take actions. It is best to state issue and ask for input then take your own actions. To resolve with gm,dealer, shop, insurance, or lawyers. But I absolutely promise you posting here doesn't help you at all. Any good lawyer would tell you the same, also in class action the lawyer gets all the info and names on member. This forum will never be held as evidence in any substantial claim case. I say this to help you guys out. It's one of those things that you play nice and work with the other party to get a reasonable resolution to your liking, or you go in with "evidence" of others and claims and demands and see how fast they refuse service push paperwork and get the declined service. Then your done. I wish all the best of luck. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
