  1. I am so confused. You removed the vaccum pump and line to the booster? And because your dod is deleted it works? On my truck they have nothing to do with each other. There is no line to the intake anyways. Just pump to the booster. As long as belt spins the pump there is vacuum. And this is nice because with boost there would be no vaccum to the booster most the time. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  2. No bad deal. Aluminum dulls and if it scratches on black you can see it and can't fix it. Also you lose lots of bed space. The tracks have to be super exact and parallel debris get stuck in the folds and they bounce together. I had a similar top and it wore down bad and got stuck also the strap seems to always find itself under the load I was trying to slide in the bed and then you get a gut hit of the item and the strap stuck so far back you need two people to load a sheet of ply. My trip fold is great one open for boards when tailgate is up all 3 up and I get all the bed. Super strong. And when it is closed it is as secure and any top. Oh and the key cylinder was replaced 3 times. Never again. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  3. What was the price point on this again? I am still trying to wrap my brain around it. Everything is telling me no no no. But still thinking about it. It's like some redneck McGregor contraption. Rear mounted spring loaded clamping pushing and pulling helping load haul helper. [emoji2962] Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  4. Honestly they should just swap the engine out and tag yours for gm inspection. I mean a engine swap is a few hours and good to go also gm will know it wasn't the mechanic. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  5. Oh thank you for that post I was wondering. Seems like he installed it hump up. But he notes the clearance to the cover, exhaust, and tire. In his install it looks like it is way to close to the tire as the axle travel would make that sway bar hit the tire in my opinion. But again maybe the hump up is the issue. I have not tire so non issue. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  6. Your killing me with all this. I was yes,.maybe, no, back to yes then hell no.....now yes.... It appears to my eyes there is a right and left on the bar ends. As when the bar is on the ground it looks like the center of the bar is bent up in the middle. This guy bents up the brake line but maybe better to just lift it to the upper hole in the brake cable bracket. Minimum amount of threads in the end links should be same as the thickness of a bolt say 1/4" with the lock nut jammed down. I understand just seeing a video is not the same as installing it but it seems to me there is some many ways this can mount with the adjustments in the axle mount and frame mount and end link length. First poster here was stock height, video stock height, your lifted, I'm lowered 5". So hard to say it it works for me. This guy had a good video for pictures. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  7. Joe i have issues with mine. It is mounted on the booster to stay warm. But it fills up to quick. I can pull a cup out per week mostly water but still. I only have 12.5-15psi. So it works too well and I am lazy. I want a auto solenoid that i can wire a relay to so where the truck turns of it opens. Thanks Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  8. I disagree that solves nothing. Keep upgrading fuse or go right to a paperclip. Paperclip is perfect amp fuse. And then the truck will start to smell and release smoke signal to let you know where to find problem. No you may need to replace more parts. But that's just a opportunity to improve on gm engineer stupid work. Oh and please post a video for use to watch. Thank you. [emoji2957] Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  9. Click then nothing. I would meter the connections. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  10. I was going to message you yesterday after I watched a YouTube video in it. On his at stock height the bar was right behind the axle and the bar center was super close to the tire, cleared his B&M diff cover by a hair, his exhaust by a hair. But he loved it. I have no exhaust back there and no spare tire, traction bars, over leaf removed, and helper air bags. I think you need the bar higher so it is 90* to the end links and then bar doesn't matter as much but seems more behind axle helps. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  11. You don't have a stock one? Makes me wonder if I do? Never looked. Ha Last question is will it clear a G2 style cover? Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  12. are the bushings rubber or poly? what does the instructions say about the mounting? Like what hole is stiffer. and what is the increase over stock. I was going to have a bar made up.
  13. that number says discontinued on gmpartsgaint. just called they do have truck full but issue is they switched computers and it is causing ordering issues. seems like a stupid issue. My contact said best you can do is have the service rep get a approval to have one shipped or sold back to gm and mailed. I would guess this is what they are doing for you, minus the gm service rep.
  14. oh pontiac is one city over from me. let me see what that part number shows.
  15. If the part is 12571609 then is is very much available my dealer has it in stock and also checked and said more than 100 available. If he didn't have it on the self he said they have it in a hour or really 20 minutes depending on traffic. I didn't search your area but I would guess if they really wanted it they can call gm warehouse and have it at least on the next shipment heading your way. Gm online has it and even selling it on amazon at a discount. If I was you i would be lighting a fire under some a55es.
  16. Nothing the dealer is saying makes any sense to me. Push rod shows available always was. What manifold do you need? The intake manifold? Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  17. All that sounds great. That trans temp is life saving change. Some are seeing much higher oil pressure spikes. And at that point the question becomes how much pressure if too much? 80? And what is the lubrication at that point also what is harmed if any? Most say the pump. I don't have the answers. I don't believe a small change in the weight hurts anything. But if one has super high pressure that's a different story. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  18. Make sure to let me know what the results are. Same on the trans temp mod. I had post a chart somewhere about the temp vs. Wear. Think it was like a MAX of 40k at our average temp. The 200*+ need change at 25-30k. Does your truck have the trans lines in radiator or just condenser? Oh and in the safest way possible at wot look and see what the oil pressure gauge jumps to. The gauge is squirrelly but I have worry of high spikes with heavy oil. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  19. More info has been released I would suggest you search forums on it. I am not trying to be a jerk as I have received many private messages on it. True is the are real resolves to the issue but the mass of customers will not have the ability or for other reasons will not pursue them. Gm at this time isn't willing to take that step for the customer. Everyone is different. But safe to say the majority of owners will say gm must fix it at any cost and that just isn't how big business works. I was just looking yesterday at the paperwork on the brake booster and vacuum pump. Sorry to ruffle your feathers buddy. Just trying to give insight on the does and don't of the recall. 20. Ues seen it. I is a band aid you avoid claims. Legal move. If you do not have this done it is on you if you do it is good for them to show they are proactively protecting the consumer. I'm not going into it but there are other ways to resolve, limit, or address the issue. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  21. There is "tune" options in the factory software for our trucks. You can set the voltage and conditions for the voltage. If you ever had a dead battery or low battery you will notice that the truck slowly turns of features. Radio seems to be first. All the way to the door locks. In cool temps I can't sit in truck with the key in the acc position. After 1 minute is shuts down. The charge regulator is adjustable to the commands of the software. May be a interesting change for cold weather or people with large demand auxiliary items. Like plows and salters. Also sound systems. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
  22. So is this a warranty covered issue, that is the first question. Because I would have opted for a different set up all together is it wasn't warranty repair. And gm will not give you a truck for your vacation normally however the dealer could let you borrow a truck from the lot if they wish to. I borrowed vechiles for the weekend all the time. Cadillac let me have any GM owned car on the lot. And they put a dealer plate on it and just say go. Well have to go easy in mileage or they have to lose money or list as used. I would be reaching out to the gm rep on this asap. He makes the call. But I can order push rods today and have them in one day or a few days depending on that option. 23. You are absolutely right. I didn't even know I had them till I read the 2 page report of soft codes. Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk
