  1. I have a 1995 GMC Sierra 1500 2WD. It was shifting pretty hard from 1st to 2nd so I started my You Tube research and saw a video where someone replaced their TPS and it fixed the problem. I thought I'd give it a try so I went and bought a TPS (OEM). After changing it out, the truck wouldn't start. It would turn over, but wouldn't start. I did some more You Tubing and ended up replacing the ignition control module (OEM). The truck started right up. In addition, when I drove it, the hard shifting was gone. The only problem now is that when I start the truck it idles rough until it warms up and
  2. I'm not mechanically inclined so please excuse me if I don't ask this correctly. Is there a specific type of scan tool I need for a 1995 GMC Sierra 1500? I'm trying to erase the air bag light code. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  3. Does anyone know the factory tire size for a 1995 GMC Sierra 1500 extended cab/step side? I can't read the sticker on the door and I couldn't find that information in the manual. If anyone can share a picture of their door sticker, that would be great! Thanks for your time. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  4. I would check the dealership. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  5. I recently changed out the steering wheel on my 1995 GMC Sierra 1500. I had to remove my airbag and put it back on, but now my airbag light is on. Has anyone heard of this, and is there an easy fix? Thank you. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  6. Is the hood off a 1993 Chevy truck identical to a hood off a 1995 GMC Sierra 1500? Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  7. What is this world coming to if you can't clean a mirror with auto glass cleaner without damaging it. Definitely have them replace it under warranty.
  8. Found the buyers tag receipt, which shows I bought the truck in December of 2014. So hopefully from January on they corrected whatever the issue was with the 8 speed transmissions.
  9. I will check the build date on my truck when I go pick up the new one.
  10. I finally gave up and traded mine in for a 2015 Ford F150 5.0 Platinum. I will miss this forum.

  12. I guess you're right, I'm just really frustrated at this point.
  13. The dealerships are saying it's normal. That or that they can't duplicate the issue.
  14. I called my service advisor and asked him to get me a price on a new transmission. How embarrassed they should be to have a customer pay out of pocket for a new transmission on a 2015 truck!
