  1. http://www.vararam.com/air-grabber/air-grabber.html They have them for 4th gen Ram's.
  2. Like a Vararam?
  3. Yes, it's horrible. My window sticker said 20 hwy, no way it touches that. Read the forums, even the new ones with the 8-speeds aren't getting anywhere close to the sticker. With my Silverado, I can beat the sticker if I take it easy.
  4. Strange, I could definitely tell when the MDS kicked in on my Hemi. Then I cut the factory muffler off and put a 14" Magnaflow on it, after that the MDS drone was horrible so I turned it off with a tuner.
  5. I can definitely tell when it switches modes, but it is smoother than the Hemi Ram version.
  6. I came from a 2012 Hemi Ram. On the performance section of the forums it was thought that the sealed style (S&B was the most popular) makes the most power. The open style winds up sucking hot air in from the engine compartment. There were even a few guys that made dyno runs to prove it, in fact one of the open air style's made less horsepower than the factory box with a K&N drop in filter. The open air style makes a lot more intake noise than the sealed, so that could be a plus or minus depending on your taste. I wound up putting an S&B on my Ram and I was pleased with it. If they make one for the Silverado I'll do the same.
  7. Bakflip's are great. I have an Access Vanish on mine because I did not want to pay for a Bakflip, lol.
  8. I think so. I think most of my gas mileage takes a shit in the winter due to remote start and a short 4 mile drive to work.
  9. I believe him for a 25 mile average. My best 25 mile average is 29.4, that was on a flat highway with cruise control @ 58mph. I generally get around 17-18 though, even less now that it's cold and I'm using remote start.
  10. Yeah, I think I might have a bad thermostat. I've never had a vehicle take this long to warm up.
  11. I've pretty much been doing the same thing. Even after two 10 minute starts the coolant temp is just starting to show on the gauge. Is yours like that?
  12. The whole reason for remote start is to avoid having to do that. Also, this truck doesn't fit in my garage. This is my fourth vehicle with remote start, I consider it as common as power windows these days.
  13. I have a 3 minute drive to work, all I want is the damn windshield to defrost so I can see. It's not even what I consider real cold here, and the current alloted time doesn't defrost it. The truck's not even up to temperature by the time I get to work, I just find that odd. I've had remote start on my last 4 vehicles, and they all were up to temperature when I would get in to drive to work. This truck just doesn't want to warm up. My 2012 Ram would have the window defrosted in 5 minutes. Do we have an extra large capacity cooling system on these trucks? Is it possible I have a faulty thermostat?
  14. Ugh, that doesn't help much. Wish there was a setting I could change.
  15. Didn't know you could do that before it turns off. Thanks.
  16. 10 minutes isn't long enough. I know you can start it again, but that's kind of annoying. It was 19 degrees here this morning and 10 minutes wasn't enough to defrost my windshield, this truck takes a while to warm up. Is there any way to increase that time period? I looked in the settings but couldn't find anything. I'm at work now so I haven't gotten a chance to look in the owners manual.
  17. I have the same axle ratio as you and have not experienced that at all. All shifts are crisp and firm, especially when I give it some throttle. I would definitely take it to the dealer.
  18. Amazing they didn't notice this during the millions of miles of testing they claimed.
  19. I wonder if that has something to do with it.
  20. Just curious, those who have the vibration what wheels do you have? I drove one with 20's and it felt different than the one I bought with the 18's.
  21. Wow, what an idiot. The last salesman I dealt with wasn't too bad actually. He almost knew as much about the truck as I did.
  22. Those seem a little low, I get that even when I'm playing around. Most of it depends how much you are actually "stopped" in stop and go traffic. I noticed the sweet spot in my truck seems to be 45mph for gas mileage. Another note, I bet wheel size and gear ratio can make a big difference. I have 3.08's and the 18" wheels, those with 20" or 22" inch wheels will have a higher rotational mass, which will decrease mileage in town especially.
  23. That sucks. I signed up under jkoch1981, it wouldn't let me use Joe_K.
  24. That's awesome! I had no idea, I was always searching under fuelly, lol.
