  1. I am amazed at the low inventory of Silverado 2500’s, especially the LTZ and High Country. Im in the Northeast and there is just no trucks within hundreds of miles. Anyone know when the ‘21’s will hit the lots? Did Covid really hit manufacturing that hard? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  2. Truck looks awesome by the way! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Thank you that sounds like just what I’m looking for. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Guys, Without doing a lot of searching from my phone I was hoping someone could readily help me with a couple questions. I’m planning to install a set of 5100’s on the front of my ‘16 crew Silverado 1500 (Auto Anything has them on sale) similar to what I did to my ‘14 GMC 1500 Crew. Problem was at the max height setting the rear then became a bit to low when I was done. What size blocks do I need to maintain a slight rake and do I need new u bolts? Any specific manuf. of these blocks you would recommend that may also come with the u bolts if necessary? Thank you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Dropped my '16 Silverado off at dealer last night for the 8 speed shudder. Advisor called said they couldn't finish truck today so stop and get a loaner. I asked what the diagnosis was and was told they think they need to flush and change the fluid and maybe something with a valve. Tech was gone for the day. Didn't mention replacing the TC. If they only change the fluid have you guys had similar repair and has it been successful? Do they reset the warranty at this point, I have 22k on truck? And is this covered under 60k warranty or 36k under standard warranty? Thanks for your help.. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. Regarding the fogs on with the High beams, has anyone done this on the auto dimming headlights? Any reason this mod wouldn't work on those? Thanks Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. Quick update: Dealer had new set in stock, did the right thing and replaced them this morning. I didn't think to ask if they will also be covered for at least another 12 months, but they will probably corrode and peel again at which point I will look at another option, either the line-x or something not chrome plated. Thanks for the tips. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  8. thanks, wii look into that. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  9. . Thought I'd include a pic.....you know what they say about pics, haha
  10. If you've seen my previous posts (past few days) i guess you could say I was very unhappy with both the Bakflip hard cover delaminating and with Thierry customer service as they do not even reply.
  11. My '16 Silverado came with the factory 6" chrome side steps. Functionally I think they work well, but washing my truck yesterday I found that huge areas of the chrome on the right side has all peeled off down the entire length of the board. I live in upstate Ny and they do salt the roads but it's only 9 months old. Have an appt at the dealer Thursday am for them to "look" at them but was wondering if anyone else has run into this from a warranty sense. Thanks
  12. yeah, I get it just a shame that in just that short of time it begins a to self destruct. I'm am very easy on the truck and cover and the weird part is my invoice said VP but is not a smoothie vinyl too. It's the panelized fiberglass type. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Some info and a question. I've had my Bakflip hard tonneau for just over 3.5 years and the outer edges of the panels are delaminating, coming apart, causing large bubbles in the glossy top surface of the top, looks terrible. I contacted Bakflip 4 days ago, no answer. I don't recall but it's probably out of warranty. Has anyone else had a defective related issue with a Bakflip and if so did bakflip try to make good with their product somehow? $700+ is a considerable amount of money to have to spend on a tonneau every 4 years! Anyone recommend a tonneau they've owned for more than 5 years? Thanks Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  14. Looks great. What vinyl product did you use and where did you buy it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Does anyone have a copy of the PI 1138 bulletin or point me to where I can print it. I would like to take it into the dealership when I take my truck in for the third time to fix the seat movement problem? Which by the way they say is "normal". Thanks Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
