Yeah I just noticed that again, I put my truck back in the garage and went for a drive and it was immediately going into V4 mode so I guess the garage keeps the fluid warm enough to instantly allow V4 more.......one more reason to keep em in the garage.

Anyone else noticed V4 doesn't come on until the engine hits 210? Would be curious to see if a lower thermostat would cause issues because of this.

I just noticed on a drive tonight that the engine would not go into V4 mode until the operating temp reached 210. It may say that in the manual or may be common knowledge but I never knew that. May actually explain some of the loss experienced during cold weather. It took my truck forever to warm up 2 degrees outside.

Did the 2015s come with slacker radio installed? I saw a news release saying that slacker was coming to the Silverados, I connect it via Bluetooth and get album art and can skip from the screen and the sound quality is a lot better than Pandora but I was hoping there would be an upgrade to put it onscreen for the 14s.

Still love mine...and again I talked to Bilstein and they said they didn't reccomend the 5100s on the factory ride settings (bottomed out) that's why they make the 4600. The truck now feels really close to the way my Avalanche and my wife's Tahoe ride, I'm sure the Ranchos ride well too.

Yeah, thats the exact thing that drove me nuts with mine as well. I have the Max Tow and it felt like the back was really stiff but the front would float alot, the bilsteins fixed that. I think it rides alot better, they should have put these shocks on from the factory in my opinion. Let me know how your aligment looks, I am still debating on doing it just for peace of mind.

Did you align the front after your install? My dealer said it would be a waste of money but they did check it, these are guys I have been working with for a lot of years.

Yeah third from bottom, I just told the dealer to go to the max setting and then go back down one to avoid confusion. Skeet I am 1/2 inch tail high.

I agree, I think the third setting is the way to go if you dont do blocks in the rear. Front to back I am about 1/2 inch difference. My dealer checked my aligment after the install and said I didnt need to re-align, should I go ahead and do it anyways? I figured they knew what they were talking about. When I talked to Bilstein I was trying to decide between the 4600 and the 5100, they told me that the 5100 was designed for the level and that if you left them at the "factory" setting in the front that the ride would be harsh. I set mine at the third setting (1.28) because for whatever reason my truck had very little factory rake.

Yeah that was my intent....when I switched over to a truck blackbear and Nelson performance were at the top of my list, Sorry Mutua didn't know it would cause such a slugfest.

I agree with the cost....it's not that much cheaper...try out www.guerragroup.com Pat did the tune on my G8 and did a great job, emails instructions and was always available when I called. I consider myself to be average with the autocal stuff but things still come up when loading the tune that make it essential in my opinion to have someone to call and ask questions. I have heard great things about blackbear not trying to bash them just making a suggestion.

I wosh Blackbear had a contact method other than email......that's slot of money to have to correspond via email.....sent one weeks ago with no response.

I am getting mine installed on Monday by the dealer. Anything else I need to look out for other than boot down on the back? Can you get away with just a front end alignment?
