  1. almost 60k with more tread left. These tires have never let me down. You are making wild baseless accusations. I vote give these tires a try and will have more money in your pocket and a good set of tires on your truck.
  2. Checking in here with 53,000 miles and counting. They still have good tread and all weather traction. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. This is how my Monday started. The ac compressor on my 2014 Silverado 117,000 miles. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Tried to get a chat going and see what gm would do for me but they weren’t having it. I am sitting at 99,500 miles so they didn’t feel sorry for me. I paid $1198 out the door. That included my transmission service and when they replaced my leaking oil cooler lines (warranty) they gave me an oil change. I did pay but I am having to turn down the AC so I am a happy camper. 5. I am having my condenser replaced at the dealership now. The ac stopped blowing cold so I took it in. I was going to try to do the fix myself but don’t have the time now and I have never messed with an AC system. Dealership is charging me just under $1100. Also I took my Silverado in for a leaky oil cooler line under warranty so they gave me a loaner. They are changing a bell housing seal, the oil pan seal, oil cooler line and they are servicing my transmission as well as fixing the ac. They say the oil cooler line is on back order but it is covered under warranty so I am still driving the loaner, after a week. My truck is sitting at 99,250 miles so they can have it as long as it takes. I’m racking up the miles on the loaner, lol. The dealer says I will have a 2 year 25,000 mile warranty for the condenser so there’s that. It will be closer to a year for me as I drive around 25-27,000 a year. When the service guy told me what it was I had a moment before I was able to agree to have them do it. Most expensive repair I’ve ever done on any car, not being an engine or tranny. 6. Oh yea, I forgot about that, bummer. I agree with keeping it factory looking too. I was looking at the alpine redesign stereo, I think it does dvds not sure about Blu-ray.It’s at $1299, but I can’t afford it just yet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. You can get the unlock for your 8” factory unit and play movies from a flash drive while in motion. The dvd Blu-ray option sounds good but expensive. I have music videos and stuff for the kids on a couple of memory sticks. Again not great resolution but still very convenient and fun. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I’ve got over 26k on mine. They still have a lot of tread left so I am feeling pretty good about them going up to or past 50-60k. To be [emoji817] I think the cooper discoverer at3s I had on my 2006 Sierra might have had a little bit better rain traction. Maybe it’s the more power of my 2014 Silverado 5.3 compared to the dog 4.8 in the 06. Either way I like the tire a lot. Paid around $800 for the LT275 65r18. That was before the $135 rebate and I sold the old cooper stt max that were on there for $200. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Those wildpeaks are looking good. I am closing in on 22,000 miles on mine. Still look good and ride great. I have the 275/65r18s. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I just ticked 20,000 on my falken wildpeaks at3w. I love em and will definitely recommend them. 2014 Silverado Z71
  11. Almost 85000 miles here on 14 5.3. Had an oil pan leak a couple times and a rear end seal leak but other than that runs and drives great with no issues. 2014 Silverado Z71
  12. I tipped over 80k last week. Have replaced shocks and struts along with tires. I had a couple of recalls and an oil leak issue. Had to take the truck in twice for the leaky oil pan (warranty fix). Doesn't leak now and I have no issues. I love my truck. 2014 Chevy silverado Z71 DCSB w/Bilstein 5100 level
  13. I paid $319 for install and alignment. Thought that was a good deal. Installed the 5100s on the front 2014 Chevy silverado Z71 DCSB w/Bilstein 5100 level
  14. Add a couple inches to the front end and that should be good, unless you just want to get a straight up lift kit. I added the bilstein struts up front to my 14 on the 1.85" lift setting and I constantly debate on adding a leaf to get some of the rake back because the front is so high. 2014 Silverado Z71
  15. Very easy. Remove a pillars first then start at the front edge and pry up carefully. Don't forget to unplug the sensor and boom that's it. I used a fish tape to run my speaker wires through the dash, because I want to leave all factory wires in case I trade and want to pull the speakers. I think the bolts holding the speakers were 9/32. I reused them. 2014 Silverado Z71
  16. I didn't take pics, but I did install some sundown 2.75" speakers in my dash location and I put dynamat under that panel while I was in there. Of course I soldered the connections and used shrink tubing so I wouldn't have to go in there again. They are powered by the alpine ktp 445u I installed in the under jump seat storage. They sound pretty good. I definitely hear more detail. No more stereo upgrades for me till I can afford to drop $4-500 on a nice set of components for the front doors. 2014 Silverado Z71
  17. I checked my best mpg this morning. Last 400 miles 17.9 Last 50 miles 22.7 Last 25 miles 24.9 I run LT falken wildpeaks and a front bilstein lvl. 2014 Silverado Z71
  18. I have mine set to the last 400 miles (17.9 high). My truck got over 21 as a high in The last 50 miles. 2014 Silverado Z71
  19. I drive 40 miles one way to work in central texas, the hill country. If I use cruise every chance I get at 2-4 miles over the speed limit I am around 16+ mpg. That is with stop lights and hills and a little highway driving. When on the open highway I can get 18-20+ if I don't drive to fast. These guys getting 20,22,24+ mpg must be cruising mostly at 40-60 mph on flat roads. Or 60-70 on good flat highway with NO lights. 2014 Silverado Z71
  20. I saw those Falken wildpeaks from a mile away. Good looking truck. I rock the Falken at3s too. 2014 Silverado DCSB Z71
  21. I love my JL audio 12". I think the stealthboxes have the tw3 series shallow subs. Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk

  24. I was very happy with my RF p3 in my Toyota. Even after I cracked it I taped it with aluminum tape real well and it hit just as hard. I was very close to going with the Mtx shallow sub then the kenwood shallow as I was trying to keep the cost down. Then I decided that I would look at the JL and I somehow convinced myself to spend the money for it. I love it and it hits but I have decided that I am going to build a full length under rear seat ported enclosure for it. It sounds great but my sealed box has its limits. I think it has maybe .6-.8 cu ft. I am thinking if I give that JL a cubic ft or more in a ported enclosure than it will take it to that next level. I have a wife and 3 daughters so I was lucky to find the time to build my mdf/fiberglass enclosure. Hopefully I will get it built in the next few days. If so I will post a little write up with some pics. 2014 Chevy silverado Z71 DCSB w/Bilstein 5100 level
  25. That is one thing I like about my jl shallow over the fosgate shallow. No vent hole on the magnet. It can be mounted right up against the mdf. I put some dynamat there first but still. 2014 Chevy silverado Z71 DCSB w/Bilstein 5100 level
