  1. Nice, yeah I was looking at getting some new wheels too, not too much offset, but who knows. Maybe i'll just go with 17 methods and 295/70/17s
  2. Nice they look great. How much room do you have with them? I've been eye balling some 305/65s but not sure if they would rub or not.
  3. Nice! What size tires you running?
  4. Not around my part of Texas... mostly fuel and XD around here.

  6. So I know this doesn't completely answer your question, but Houston House of Power here in Texas had a shop truck with a 5.3 (2014 crew cab 2wd) with intake, headers, cam, 3 or 3.5" Magnaflow exhaust and tune (done in house by their tuner, Chuck) and it had over 400 RWHP being put out on the dyno. You can look them up on facebook or instagram (@chuckstuning) He actually holds the bolt on record for the new 5.3L engine, i believe. I know getting your truck to Houston may be hard, but i would definitely say it would be worth it... if I can get mine down there one day I will absolutely be doing it. To more so answer your question, for horsepower numbers I would go with Magnaflow. I have had flowmasters in the past and the magnaflow i have now performs WAY BETTER. I had duals on the flowmaster and have a single 3" pipe all the way out with the 3rd catalytic converter cut out. Adding headers, i would go Texas Speed, seems to have a pretty good bang for the buck, and thats what HHP uses and they get some pretty good numbers out of them. Hope this helps.
  7. That's only on a level?! Does it rub?
  8. Well, there are other options as well. You could go in between at 285/60 (33.5*11.2) or 295/60 (33.9*11.6) I do really like the 305s though. i have 275/70R18 BFG KO2 and i love them though. So both ways would be great, just depends on the look you want. I think the 285/60/20 or 295/60/20 would be about perfect Best of both worlds
  9. you are correct about the contact patch being wider, but the height isn't quite right. 305/55 are 33.2 as you said, but the 275/65/20 are just over 34" tall and they don't rub in most situations.
  10. I have the 14" and love it. Mine is the oval.
  11. My dealer installs mine. So, no.
  12. Here's mine from a couple days ago. Any suggestions for wheels? Thinking about some Methods.
  13. Here is the most recent pic of mine
  14. Nice! Truck is looking awesome! Those are 0 offset wheels right?
  15. Yes. You should be able to run some pretty big tires on that set up. way bigger than 265/70/18. If you go with +1 offset it will allow you to run slightly larger tires than -12 would. I'm only on a 2" level on stock wheels with 275/70/18 and no rubbing. I've seen someone on here with a 2" level and 1.5 body lift running 295/70/18s on +18 offset wheels. Just depends on if they are mud tires or all terrains at that height.
  16. They should fit no problem! Go get them!
  17. Dang! Nice! Not a bad 0-60 for a truck!
  18. It would make sense that it does put more wear on, because it takes more effort to get the wheels moving. But... its clearly not enough to matter. I've been running 10 ply tires for a long time and never had an issue. I know a lot of others on here run 10 ply tires as well and those heavier/wider tires weigh significantly more, so if it were to actually cause a problem that fast, you would hear about it.
  19. I thought about trying to squeeze those onto my truck for my next set... not sure if they will fit with just a 2" level and stock wheels (maybe +18 offset wheels if I find a good deal on the ones i want)
  20. The rotating weight of the tires is not equal to adding weight into the pickup. If you drive around on stock tires, then put another set on that adds 15lbs per tire, it is a VERY noticeable difference in acceleration because the truck is having to turn that much more weight. If you were to just add 60 lbs into the truck, you wouldn't even notice. Even adding a few people into the vehicle isnt as easily noticeable in regards to performance and acceleration. I race mountain bikes and in bike racing, you notice a VERY large change in the handling characteristics, acceleration and overall performance of the bike as soon as you drop weight in your wheels/tires/drivetrain (any rotating mass on the bike) because of the energy it takes to rotate that weight. So in competitive racing you see people spending more money upgrading wheels than you do on most of the other components, because its the smarter place to put your money.
  21. You know what kind of HP numbers you're getting?
  22. Agreed! Do the 14" I LOVE mine. I posted videos of mine a couple pages back. I had the shop cut out everything from just before the 3rd cat, all the way back. Replaced everything with 3" pipe and a 14" magnaflow and i think it performs and sounds awesome.
  23. Mine dropped too. I have 275/70/18 so they're about the same height. Its the weight of the 10 ply tires mostly. Gearing is a little different, but in stop and go, the weight is the biggest thing. Mine dropped as well. Only way to truly fix it is to go back to stock tires... NOT WORTH IT (in my opinion) But you could get a custom tune from DiabLew, those seem to help a little bit. Just dont let the dealership know you did it.
  24. 21-22 @ 75? or what speed? Not bad on 34" tires and a lift!
