  1. I wish! My truck is a '14 with 47k on the clock. This is the first expensive repair I'll have to pay for (and hopefully the last).
  2. Dropped it off at dealer. My vacuum pump is dead and that seatbelt recall had to be done, plus fixing a clunk that came from the front suspension. I put around 8,000 miles on the truck over the summer, so I guess stuff like this was expected. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Took it to the dealer to see if they could tell me what the annoying "ticking" noise it makes is. No luck. Told me it was normal, as was the clunk the steering makes at full lock. Sometimes I question the mental capacity of dealership personnel (which I believe is exactly what they do to customers).
  4. Well, I'm also a sucker for aviation. Here are some of the ones I have uploaded. Sorry for the spam! This is one of my favorite hobbies (if you couldn't tell). My dad worked in aviation for years, and my uncle still does. Sometimes I wonder if I should have followed
  5. This is amazing. The only other thing I've ever seen with that many miles on it was a Mercedes 1113. (Excluding Peterbilts and road trains, of course). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I drove a Sonata for a couple of days once as a rental, and I was impressed. The car was smooth, comfortable, quiet. And not even the high end model. Didn't impress me as much as a Mazda 6, but it was certainly a lot of car for $19k. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. For the standard tails (non LED), the specs are identical to the 14 and 15 models. The new LED tail lights though might use a different reverse bulb, I'm not sure.
  8. That price makes me so jealous... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Looks like OEM Tahoe / Burban LTZ 22" rims to me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Where are you located? Not so much for shipping, but can't really drive around with those missing...
  11. Unrelated but is that red stitching I see in your wheel?
  12. I have a 2.5in leveling kit here that I was going to install, but I decided to not get bigger tires. I think the 2.5" on stock tires will look stupid, so I think a 2" level is the way to go for me on stock tire size... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Not today, yesterday, but did my 30,000 mile service. (Which is essentially an oil change and tire rotation). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Averaged 19.7 mpg hand calculated on the drive from Ft. Lauderdale to Greenville, Alabama. A little lower on the drive back. I can't complain, since cruise was at 70-75ish all the way. DIC indicated around 21 mpg. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Cleaned the bed and undercarriage and the carpet. Carpet mats were definitely not made for hunting trips...
  16. Had a bit of a scare. Was driving down the interstate when "Service Stabilitrak" came up. Fine. Less than a minute later, all gauges shut off, including the DIC, and then the DIC came back on and started displaying "Service 4WD", "Service Brakes", "Brake assist off, drive with care", "Steering assist off, drive with care". Then something among the lines of "Power Steering Malfunction" came on at which point the only thing that worked was the engine and the radio. I've driven cars without power steering before, including older trucks, but this was beyond anything I've ever had to steer. Oh, and after exiting the highway I stopped at a red light and had another surprise: transmission wouldn't shift out of first anymore. It's amazing how dependent on electrics modern vehicles are. Looking forward to have the dealer tell me what happened. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Technically no, but since I have LED lights and have run wires I'm pretty sure they'll pull that card. It was scary to lose all drive systems at 75. Steering barely moved. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Dropped it off at the dealer. Check engine light is on after I suffered a full electrical failure on the interstate. Not excited to see the bill. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I like that grille! Had never seen it before. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Had my tow mirrors wired in correctly. Everything works perfectly as intended by GM now. Now to save up for some wheels and tires... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Vacuumed the interior and witnessed a wreck. Was pouring rain (typical Florida monsoon lol) and there was a Camry (it's always a Camry, have you noticed?) tailgating me. I turned into my neighborhood. Guy pulling out of it thought there was no one behind me, since the Camry was so close to me he probably couldn't see it, and pulled out. All I heard was the loud bang. Luckily I was only doing around 30 because of the rain so I checked and none of them got hurt. Don't tailgate! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I have the 5.3 with 3.42 and I got 21mpg hand calculated on my drive up to ATL from south Florida, did 75ish all the way. On city driving though, all I get is the high 16's. No idea how some guys get almost 19-20.
  23. I was actually thinking of replacing my badging all around with "Cheyenne". But now you have the idea of just replacing the side ones with "1500" like the older trucks have. Hmm, decisions... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. I had an audio shop wire my tow mirrors. But I have a problem. The white LEDs work fine, but the clearance lamps only turn on if I manually turn on the parking lights or the headlights. They don't come on with the ambient light sensor. Does anyone know how to fix this? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Today I felt what it's like to own a Tesla and experience range anxiety. I planned my drive perfectly (fill up right on reserve) but that gas station wasn't operating, and the closest one was 20 minutes away (traffic). Ended up filling up 24.93 gallons. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
