  1. think maybe gm could learn something
  2. it does sound like freeze up, check the drain and also check the cabin air filter to see if it is plugged
  3. i would be checking the driver door harness
  4. same here , i have a 2020 first gen and the cost to repair these engines far excedes replacement
  5. you are now have to start a case file with GM and hope to get some type of resolution. i have friend who also has his service brakes ligtht on after the dealership replaced his brakes and did the same thing by turning it off.
  6. behind the rear seat passenger side
  7. like your question, i have beenbuying used for the last 15 years just because i put almost 40k a year on. so a 5 year old truck at 200 or 230 k is the same price. you dont give up the first year big hit
  8. i would say it is someone who bought a deisel and shouldn't have, they arenot meant to put around town or excessive idling. the brake thing is a gm problem, some do worse and some do bettter. i put 140k on my 2014 and was expecting the same on the 2020 but only got half of that mileage. a2020 with40k is not that many miles, my 2020 has 120k
  9. it is one of those things that will only turn on with the engine running and the ecm commands it on, so it will be hard to tell
  10. try tapping the pump lightly and see if it starts, if it doesn't then the pump needs replaced, i think it will put the engine in limp mode if you drive it
  11. the pcv fine separator was 100 bucks, it takes 7 hours to change it.
  12. 120k on my 2.7 and run great
  13. i have had 3 issues, the pcv fine oil separator failed at 60k, recently i had a turbo problem that was a clamp that attaches the exhaust to the turbo had come loose and turned and was stopping the actuator arm. other than that it likes to eat oil
  14. i guess it might be depending on the type of driving. my 2.7 has 120k miles, changed the plugs at 70k and it runs as good as new. i have not used any injector cleaner
  15. i haven't had a regular cab since 1987, just needed more space for the family VA thats a good looking truck
  16. if it is jerking and flaring between shifts it need a valve body are even more
  17. 90-120k is when you are going to start having transmission problems, even if it has been serviced the valve body wears out and next thing you know you have burnt clutchs and the cost of a rebuild, let alone the torque converter prolems
  18. my 2014 is over 200k still going on original power train, 5.3 with 6 speed
  19. 2020 silverado 2.7 8 speed 118k miles. using m7 the transmission shifts fine up or down, if i just put it into drive the 3-4 shift is a little off but the7-8 shift is like the transmission goes into neutral, flares about 1k rpm and then slams into 8th. in manual mode if i get the speed up to 65 and shift to 8th then there is only a small flare and harsh engagement is this a mechanical problem with 8th gear or just a valve body problem controlling 8th gear. tramsmission was last serviced at 60k
  20. it would be nice to know what year, vehicle and engine
  21. if the code was not there before the work was done then they screwed something up. wrong parts maybe. one of the old tricks alignment shop used to center the steering wheel was to screw with the tie rod adjustment, which you can't do anymore because of the steering sensor. i would say the rack needs to be centered and then the wheels aligned. this is a common code when ever front end work is done
  22. you can buy the parts separately, mirror housing 84575674 and depending on mirror 84309709
  23. it's not normal, i have a 2.7 and at idle you can hardly tell it's running
