  1. They definetly don't regear at dealer, they'd cost to much. The point this guy made was check tow rating of a 5.3 with 3.08's cause that's roughly what a 5.3 on 35s ends up being? Has to be some type of calculator online to check this.
  2. He wasn't really saying the lift was the issue, more along the 35" tires being larger and changing the gear ratio essentially. Said I should regear to 373's at least if running 35s and towing my 8k boat..
  3. Well after reading 200+ pages of this thread. I didn't notice one thing, anybody towing heavy with 35s? I planned on a 6.5" on 35s but I tow 8klb every weekend in the summer. I'm being told 35s with a 5.3/3.42 gears is extremely bad. A local truck shop advised me to go smaller lift and keep my 33s.. any input?
  4. I'm guessing by looking at the kits instructions it doesn't widen the track at all, like a rough country "bracket" kit vs a knuckle lift which widens front track
  5. I'm tossing between an RC 6" and zone 6.5". Really don't like the idea of welding brackets with the zone kit. Even the 4.5" kit requires welding with zone? What's up with that? Would an aftermarket control arm solve that?
  6. I'm seeing a lot of people choosing zone lifts over rough country. Any reason behind that?
  7. my thoughts exactly. i figured if i did the .5 spacer to make it 2.5" up front, id then have to do a bigger block in the rear. all to essentially gain .5" overall. instead i bought the 1.5" BL which effects nothing. super happy with just the 3/4" rake
  8. My 2" front level is finally settled, and my rear is 3/4" higher than the front. Perfect! However I did just buy a 1.5" zone body lift for a little extra.
  9. On the 16+ trucks it doesn't go on top anymore. Two seperate part numbers now, and I've even called rough country to verify that. Stamped arms (16+) now get the spacer on top of coilspring, not on top of the strut top mount.
  10. to the guys whom have installed the 2.5" themselves, do you think its possible to just compress the spring while its on the truck and install the upper spacer? or does the entire strut have to be disassembled right down?
  11. Well it's been about a week. Highway is around 18, city 15. Before I was 17ish city, 20 highway. I did on a long trip get 22mpg (before new tires/level). I'll be doing that same trip soon, I'll report back what I get. Overall for daily driving with city/some highway my average is staying at around mid 16s
  12. 2" level is that bottom "U" shape only. To get 2.5 they add a 1/2" spacer on top of the coil spring. Requires disassembly of the strut. My setup is in my sig, the extra 1/2" wasn't worth the hassle for me. My truck has almost exactly 1" of rake
  13. I have the very slightest rub in reverse at full lock. It touches the bottom fender corner trim piece oh so slightly. I'm Not even going to bother with it.
  14. 2" RC front level XD Grenade 820 wheels 20x9 +0 offset Falken wildpeak at3 tires 305/55/20 -just barely touches that bottom fender corner trim piece. Only makes a rubbing noise off that piece in reverse at full lock and it's very small
  15. 2" RC front level XD Grenade 820 wheels 20x9 +0 offset Falken wildpeak at3 tires 305/55/20
  16. I run 20x9 with a 0 offset. 305/55/20 - only rub is at full lock once in awhile on the inner liner in reverse. 1 little zip tie each side fixed that. No cutting, trimming, hammering etc. oh and all I have is a RC 2" level (bottom spacer).
  17. What offset did you go with on your xd820's? Truck looks good. Got the same wheels but black centers sitting in the garage.
  18. 3M sells a clear vinyl protection film for front of these trucks. Bumper, end of hood, sides of fenders. Can't even see it once installed. Or have the whole hood, front fenders and bumper wrapped in the clear vinyl for absolute no potential of seeing a line.
  19. Wish I went 10". Bought same wheels, but 9" 0 offset. They haven't came yet so I'm really debating returning them for the 10" wide.
  20. What width and offset you end up with? Looks good!
  21. That was my plan, tire shop seems to think that's a "hassle". Lazy bastards..
  22. Where is everyone getting there tpms sensors/stems from?
  23. Pulled the trigger, XD820 20x9 +0 wheels are on the way. Going to run a 305/55/20 tire on them.
  24. Where is everyone buying XD wheels? I've finally found a wheel I like but lots of options on where to buy.
