  1. New winter tires! 285/75R18 Duratracs. Goodyear specs show the tire being 35.1x11.2. No rubbing at all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. [quote name="Big Whiskey" post="1987184" That looks great!! Thank you sir! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. New set it Ridge Grapplers over the weekend!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Just picked her up last week...17' Denali L5P! Did a little color matching and installed a 30" light bar behind the grille. Nitto Ridge Grapplers coming for summer!
  5. Steering started to act up again on my truck...I had enough of the BS steering! Took it back to the dealer for the third time and while it was in the shop took a '17 for a drive. Steering felt great! I was also told that '17's won't see the same steering problems. I told them to keep my truck with the ongoing steering and the transmission (hard shifts and violent shuddering) issues and I'll take the '17. We got the owner of the dealership involved and worked out an amazing deal. Zero cash up front and my loss is minimal. My monthly payment went up less then $30...$348 extra per year on the term. Lets hope the '17 has no issues!! To be honest I shouldn't have to resort to purchasing a new truck but enough was enough!
  6. I drove a '17 over the weekend as well just to compare while mine was in the shop for the third time. The steering felt much better!! Did you find the turbo whine was much more noticeable on the '17? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. The good....steering is still holding great after 400 km. The bad...now having a bad shudder in the transmission when shifting from 4th to 5th gear only. Not happening all the time though and only occurs when driving on an incline and never on the flat. Also seems to surge ahead when downshifting to first gear just before coming to a complete stop. Brought it to the dealer and they couldn't get the truck to duplicate my complaint and it wasn't tossing any codes. Of course the very next morning after I pick it up it would do it twice...unreal! They told me to keep an eye on it and pop back to the dealer so they can take another look. I hope this is not any indication of how this truck is going to be. Only 11,000 km on the truck. So disappointed right now.
  8. Update! Got the truck back on Saturday and so far all is good. Different feeling in the steering for sure...the way it should be. I hope it stays this way!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Just got a call from the dealer. Truck will be ready on Thursday. They are installing the new steering gear pitman shaft kit...the 'D' fix. Keep you posted on the results!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I would double check with the dealer to be on the safe side or even refuse to drive it with the known issue. It would be brutal to be involved in an accident...the potential to hurt someone is to serious in my opinion. I'm a pilot and I wouldn't fly knowing the ailerons or stabilizers may or may not work. Driving your truck is no different. They shouldn't turn a blind eye... My dealer ordered parts for 'D' fix for mine as well and told me it was not safe to drive. I've been in a 2017 Silverado 1/2 ton for 10 days now with no word from the dealer...
  11. They told me they will not be replacing the steering box. I'm the same as you...I hate when sh*t goes wrong with your vehicle and they are unsure of the fix. Not a good feeling especially for what the truck is used for...towing a camper. Kinda want the steering to work especially when loaded up towing through the rockies. I'm really disappointed in GM right now! I have two buddies that just bought the 2017 F250 and they are totally rubbing in my face.
  12. Thx...I used the link! The more people that file a complaint the better! Good to hear the repairs are holding so far. GM put me in a rental as well...
  13. I have the same issue with mine. Currently and the dealer with just under 11,000 KM. They told me it's not safe to drive and the parts are on national back order with no estimate....could be one week or two months. All I can say it's a good thing it's not camping season! I live in Canada and will be filing a complaint with Transport Canada. This is total BS in my opinion...GM should step up, at least have parts available for replacement! Seems like lots of people having issues.
