    I've seen a few people install their "knee knockin'" brake controller in that spot too.

    I bought a 7-Pin to 5-Pin harness, for behind the bumper, just for this reason. I also bought a 5-Pin connector to install on the tailgate LED light bar that I end up getting, when I finally decide on which one I want. I also purchased a 4-Pin connector for my hitch brake light, going to tap into the 7-5 harness, and rig both 4 & 5 connector to operate for brake light ONLY (no turn signals). IF I get a light bar with reverse light capability, I will be using them on the 5-Pin.

    The holder that I used, reached from the "bottom" out to the opening. Not sure if it is the same depth as my '15 was.

    In my 2015 Silverado, I had my phone mounted to the driver's side of the dash.

    You are incorrect, sir. In 2010, it could be mounted in any of the corners of your windshield, but in 2017, they reduced it to only the lower corners of your windshield. HOWEVER, Uber/Lyft drivers are in violation of this CVC with their signs, especially if they are working for both.     Maybe if it had a Midnight grill, or a black grill insert, it would. There are several "Stormtrooper" screen names on here, their trucks look like stormtroopers.

    I've seen some pretty clean diode mods. Some of the guys have cut 1/4"-3/8" off each lead, so the diode sits in close to the plugs. The only diode mod that I would not recommend trimming the leads, is the cargo lights on with reverse, jumps between BRN26 and PNK26.

    My daughter's Cruze did this to her the other morning, couple weeks ago, and has not returned since. No one posted anything about this subject in CruzeTalk, but I found this one when I was about to ask. I think that resetting the CEL should NOT wipe the codes. Codes should be wiped when you take a reader and erase them yourself, or your mechanic wipes them.

    Looking at putting one on the windshield and maybe a second one on the back window (opposite corner, FL/BR or FR/BL).

    Your reception will be worse, but in bigger cities, should be no problem. I'm looking at adding a hidden antenna or two to my truck, probably later this weekend.
