  1. Thank you for the extra advise. I am still at the beginning stages and have a couple of weeks to complete my claim. My wife keeps telling me not to pay anyone to try to fix it since I only have 15,000kms on the truck and it's only 1 yr old. All I know is that I will never buy a GM product again after this and the way GM treats it's customers.
  2. Well after a year with this vibration. I have almost all the dealers in Edmonton, Alberta refusing to touch my truck. GM Canada representative from Ontario told me that there is nothing wrong with the truck and she feels the issue is resolved. I tried Transport Canada and they said as long as no one has been injured or died from it there is nothing they can do. He did send me to a place called CAMVAP. They are an independent arbitrator for Canada. I told them my story and have opened a claim with them. I have decided to repair the truck outside of GM. Once the truck is fixed Camvap will take over and file a legal claim against GM to reimburse my costs. If it can't be fixed or can't figure it out Camvap will then begin a claim to force GM to buy my truck back. Once Camvap makes a decision, GM must adhere to it. I recommend all Canadians with this vibration issue to contact Camvap and lets start to force GM to fix this or buy all these trucks back. Mine goes in tomorrow for the repairs from an independent shop. I will update what happens and they find.
  3. Tire rotation helped for a couple of days and then it was back.
  4. Well seems like I was wrong just like the rest of the people who have the vibration. I have at this point spoke to 6-8 GM customer service people and also one manager at gm Canada. Not a single one has actually helped. They also promise to call back and never do. They are famous for saying "sorry". At this point I have dealt with this problem since June last year at 7000Kms. I now have 13000kms also getting rear end noises and still no one is fixing it. 5 GM dealerships in Edmonton Alberta refuse to even look at my truck. This is the product we bought. No warranty. I was told by one dealership that they will look at it if I pay the bill. What kind of BS is that? I think it is time to reposess the truck and just walk away. Sick of dealing with GM!
  5. My 2015 regular cab developed a vibration in the steering wheel at 115 kph at around 7000 kms. I took to dealer and they rebalanced all tires and sent me away. The vibration then started through the whole truck. Since then there has been 4 more visits leaving the truck for a total of 9 days, multiple road force balances, pico meter tests, two new tires, and a total of 2500 kms put on the truck from me and the dealership over 3 months. The dealership also damaged one rim and I forced them to replace with a new one. At the end they asked me not to come back anymore. On Christmas eve I decided to swap my wheels and tires with another Silverado 1500. When I went to remove my wheels I noticed the lug nut were not torqued very tight. I checked and the Morons only torqued to 85 ft/lbs. I torqued to 140 ft/lbs as per manual and my truck has no vibration. All this time, they could have done serious damage to my truck or even killed me and my family. I have spoken to GM Canada with no results except "I'm sorry to hear that" and spoke to owner of the dealership, and nothing done there either. This is my last product from GM. No support PLEASE CHECK YOUR LUG NUT TORQUE.
  6. I have had 2 2015's, 1 sierra double cab SLT and the other is a regular cab LT. I noticed that is driving at a smooth constant speed like 60-70 kms per hour and you remove your foot of the gas pedal the truck will have a small clunk from the rear end. The issue is that the truck is in V4 mode. try to put your truck in manual and hit the up button on your gear selector until the truck says 6 on the dash. now drive normally and you will find that the truck does not go into V4 anymore and the clunk from the rear will disappear completely. I drive in town with my truck in manual 6 all the time. The truck responds better and shifts smoother with no V4 mode. On the hiway I drive in automatic and let V4 work again for more fuel economy. Hope this helps
  7. All I had to use was power mirror switch. part number 23154702. This gives me power folding mirrors and normal mirror movement and heat. I had to run one wire from each mirror to get my mirrors signal.
  8. I just finished this mod and I have the same as you LT model with dl8 mirrors upgraded to dl3 mirrors with the new switch for power fold. I installed everything and at the end my fold worked on left but no mirror movement. The right worked fine. I took apart the door and moved around the connector and realized the contacts were not making a perfect connection so all I needed to do was just wrap some electrical tape around the connector to keep it tight and perfect mirror no works on the left side also. Not saying that's your issue but it can happen. just open the door and jiggle the connector to see if it works. Gotta still run my signal lights. forgot which wires they are. gonna look it up in the forum
  9. I agree totally. HID's are just fine in the projectors that come in the truck. I personally think some people obsess a bit too much. Everything can be improved upon, but at what cost. Good luck with the install and enjoy the brighter lights. Just a note. I really have not found any stand alone bulbs that are really brighter than the factory fogs. There are retrofits that are far superior, but the replacement leds are more for color match imo.
  10. You need an HID kit which is 2 ballasts, and 2 bulbs. You can use 9006 bulbs with a little mod to the bulb rather than search for 9012 bulbs. You will also need a relay harness and a capacitor (some people call it a canceller). The rest is the install. I had a 2015 sierra 1500 and they worked real nice in the stock projectors. DO NOT put HID's in your fog lights, you will melt the lens. I did and so have numerous other people. Save your money and do not spend the money for Morimoto. They are all the same. I should know. I have had more problems with morimoto than the cheap Chinese, and the Chinese on ebay replace immediately if you have a problem.
  11. I have always bought my HID kits from china for $50, and the worst thing was the connectors, so I just cut them off and solder them. I recently when to Retrofit Source for my HIDs since they are supposed to be "high quality". Since the install 2 weeks ago, I had a ballast go, and just today a bulb burnt out. the bulb had the worst smell of sulfur I have ever smelt. This is all in 2 weeks My opinion. Go to Chine and spend $40-50 on HIDs or LEDs. You get the same or better quality than morimoto from retrofit source.
  12. I was not aware. Not really gonna miss it because the ride is pretty stiff with the rancho shocks. I just tried to buy as loaded regular cab as possible and just add the rest of the comforts I wanted.
  13. Hey Lee. we could be twins, just 1 year apart. Mine is a 2015 Z71 LT2
  14. Okay, well I will go ahead and order the switch. It just didn't make sense that I lost the left, right movement on the dl3 mirror. I figured up, down, left, right and heat would still be there with the old dl8 switch.
  15. I actually never bought the switch yet. I just tried it out without the new switch to see if it will retained the factory up, down, left and right and it didn't. Are you saying that if I buy the switch my up, down, left, right will work properly?
  16. I have a 2015 LT2 and installed the driver DL3 mirror to my factory harness and factory switch just to have it in the truck until I get the switch. Surprise> I could not get the mirror to power adjust in and out only up and down. Strange that with nothing changed only a mirror that I have already lost normal function. I tested the mirror prior to install and the functions worked fine. Any ideas? Not sure if I feel like investing into a switch if I can't retain my normal functions without adding more
