  1. QUOTE! 100% guaranteed! I read your boys forms and all this nonsense at the time IDK 500 pages deep at the time......80% of it was BS nothing to do with problem........What are the chances I get one? Slim to none and would still have a GM over the others.....and if it did shake! I would have the dealer buy it back and I would get one that does not shake.....WOW People still buy that F'N ecoboosts and nothing has changed about their CRAP either.....
  2. Thanks for the form! I paid for HP fluid in 8L90 transmission flush/fill 220.00 after tax @18K miles and I bought wiper blades at the 1yr mark. I don't know what to do or how I feel about this.....I think GM sold me a turd! My other problem is nothing is wrong with truck and I am having an extremely hard time to get my MPG's on DIC to read below 20.00.......This vehicle has got me so frustrated!!!
  3. Wow...3rd new vehicle! But keep coming back to a GM owners website? Keep spending those dollars...sailor!
  4. If I had a choice I'd swap out my 5.3 Ecotec for the reliability and reputation of the Coyote in a second Start that thread, Now and that is the most preposterous thing ever. I would like to hear the peanut gallery on that one. Would you swap your 5.3 for FERDS 5.0? This L83 and L86 are F'N rock, bro...sealed tight!
  5. No....Not at all! Just implying that like almost every FERD guy out there, who either got ripped off on an ecoboost or now "I am GETTING THE 5.0 engine" I am just saying it's mildly better than the ecoboost.........It's still crap, honestly..
  6. Sir Dan! I recommend this for your FERD straight from the Moderators mouth on Ford-trucks.com! Best of luck bud! Ecoboost is their topic........But of course your going 5.0....same crap! Beechkid Beechkid is offline Moderator Join Date: Aug 2002 Location: Southern California Posts: 3,989 Agree with above...................... These (IMHO) are also soon to be the newest "Disposible engine" because the troubleshooting &/or repairs will exceed the value of the vehicle real fast! And it’s been showing for a long, long, time……….. F150 Ecoboost Problems
  7. If your dealer is putting in Dex VI they are wrong on that account too. 8L90 is "HP" fluid ONLY
  8. you got it mate! It's Steel all the way and should be for obvious reasons......Nice post!
  9. Wow, congrats to you! Ford spent 1 billion on retooling for AL......Gm will spend 1/3 of that because well it's in the "Voltage" and caps/tips for welding. Way to overthink once again FERD. And overthink the powertrains again, again, and again....lets see here? 2017-18 Once again new Powertrains from FERD for the F-150? Really, this shit been going on since the 70's with FERD. Please refer to The Fast Lane truck for your GOLD Hitch Award bud, on your beloved 3rd place F-250 6.7 2017! Something every GM owner has long known: Well, I don't have the massaging feet thing like FERD but I have undeniable more power, better MPG's from my Trusty Chevy....Bro, it's always been that way yet, you people still buy em? Can't help ya!
  10. We know GM is going AL on it's new truck....will not be the bottom pan and sides in the bed. GM patented the welding on dissimilar materials 1/10 the amount of glue/fasteners/rivets as your FERD. Those two statements are fact and soon will become public knowledge. As for your FERD good luck ever since the 70's they had a little more flash on the outside but after a few years and the reality hits. Funny, they keep going back to em I never understood it....
  11. Nope, I know they all don't just give em awhile! Absolute garbage on the suicide door! I just looked at a FERD 250 with it and the lineup mismatch on those doors was insane! So glad my work dumped FERD Years ago...Couldn't imagine how much trouble the EB's would have given us. Dude, I work with loves the ride on his except for the whistle?
  12. Does that include the unidentifiable Whistle the trucks makes at 60+ and obtrusive road noise too? How about that suicide door seal FERD? Pretty sweet it didn't work for shit with steel I can only imagine nonsense now with AL.......
  13. Go to slow Throttle response thread!
  14. Start with the GAS PEDAL MOD! COST....0.00$when using wood from garage! Proper fix with Nylon spacers and plastic shim 5.00-6.00$ This is why I went with a Chebby! I have options.....
  15. Yeah, tell me about looks upside down the correct way or bilstein way!
  16. Leveled it out son! NICE I went with the lower setting didn't have the balls for full extension left me with slight rake......I can live with that!
  17. remember boys and girl, "Don't leave home without one" says, mook!
  18. Muhsfink07 I believe I explained to you at one point how to get your 8speed inline and shifting accordingly?
  19. I have adjustable pedals and it was joke with the play/flex. I removed the whole assembly down to the plastic mount that has bolts attached to it. I placed 2qty 1/8" thick plastic washers 1.125" in diameter over the 3qty bolts and put pedal assembly back and tightened down. I then took a plastic shim like a wood shim yet plastic and cut it down. At this point I pried up plastic mount and squeezed caulk and shim behind. Took truck for "Hot Lap" and this thing now has probably 100% better throttle response! The best and first MOD evey body should be doing! Thanks OP why didn't I open this thread 1yr ago?
  20. Well, I caught this thread and decided to take a looks see? Guess what? I am going to Lowes to buy some shit to fix my excessive pedal flex. Thanks to the OG poster on this one! So it looks easy to fix and the assembly itself looks decent too. It's just the cheap plastic bracket/holder that bolts onto the floor board/firewall etc. The actual pedal assembly slides into the bracket and still way too much excessive side to side play even if it's affixed directly to the floor board properly? Oh, Well.. it's shit no doubt and nothing like the older vehicles at least I am not dealing with an ecoboost turbo problem.............

  22. Excellent! They are and have been only good to look at really....When it comes down to it, FERD's actually going to make yet ANOTHER V-8 because GM kicked their asses with the 6.2!
