  1. I honestly believe 100K coolant and 100K spark plugs is like somebody telling me Hillary Clinton is honest!
  2. Thanks everybody! I just am not familiar with the OTR commercial guys and their service intervals. I just assumed 100K for Rear for normal Joes. And thought damn 500,000K thats crazy! I guess not but if I had a commercial business I don't think I could go 500K either. What do I know I still believe the single biggest thing to do 50-60K is the coolant other than the obvious oil change!
  3. Thanks Great info! I am getting this crap for my truck ASAP....I never even thought about the G80 Locker/Eaton requirements! I love the part how this Gear oil can go 500,000 for intervals? Comedy folks!
  4. Nice bro! Thanks for taking care of the hardest working that nobody cares about little brother in the world!
  5. I bet it's like 1-2 tenths kinda like switching to 10W-30 or something hushes things up a tad and loosing a few tenths? When it comes time for mine I like the previous posters idea on going 90W and follow suit!
  6. I have no Idea, but I would like to know too. I would bet it's filled up on the light side. I can only imagine how much crap is in there! I should have taken a picture of my first Crankcase oil @ 1000 miles looked like I had a gone silver mining some even about the size of finger nail clippings? Oh, well I am over it.................
  7. Found the Tread! Yup, it's me got the bad Water pump! Freaking Dealer turned me around.....Could NOT DUPLICATE SOUND! They fix my Tranny programming......don't fill the crankcase with correct amount of oil....and can't replicate the noise I am screaming! I must have gone to my local dealer?
  8. All speculation! FERD saved 700lbs? OK, great so now it's V8 to V8 comparison is what 200lbs less than GM's.....Nobody talks about that so the GM was was properly engineered to begin with? SHOCKING! Look, I think when you go back over the years it's very clear GM'S were more reliable, easier to work on, chearper and more readily available parts etc! Nothing has changed except FERD continues to change everything about their trucks and the people think there better than sliced bread! GM's will have a AL body from bed to nose for skin WITH DECENT LOOKING LINES.....BECAUSE THEY HAVE THE PRESSES TO STAMP AL PANELS LOOKING LIKE STEEL! You can thank Cadillac for that. Expect a V-8 yes, a V-8 with advanced AFM meaning. Each and every piston stroke/cylinder is optimized and not banked! WHICH TRANSLATES TO 15% FE gains......arghhh...Magnesium used more than any other MFG! AL/FE welded with foil sheets and a BED MADE OUT OF HIGH STRENGTH STEEL! 200-300lbs lighter than FERD'S See you in 2018!
  9. Hope so too bud! You might have been the lucky one to get both batches of shitty torque converters?
  10. Great News.......Others have done this to no avail though? They can be out of tolerance quite a bit with meaningless outcomes? GM has the necessary means, brains to look into this and they have not claimed it to be Drive shaft. Makes you wonder if 4-5 are in play?
  11. Thanks! I had what the dealer called a Fast Learn C4Clutch packs/Pads softening. And so far this baby is Spot On!
  12. I thought it was for 6.2L 8speeds only?
  13. Is there is a TSB for this? I have exact same issue? I am in shop at moment to see what's up with the 1st to 2nd when cold?
  14. Yup, I feel those engines are just minutes away from major problems everyday.......I would bet not one of the drivers rips that engine all the way home, to work and just turns it off without idling down....disaster waiting to happen! No wonder the old timers would get bent if you drove their rig hard all the way back to the shop and didn't idle down properly? you will at some point have a turbo problem not a if but when.......
  15. Dang! And people by ecoboosts? Wish I had me a6.2L
  16. That is what I am saying.......WoW do not put that in your crankcase PEOPLE! I would rather see you people "Throwing" a hand of bananas in there at least that is a better option.....I agree with you post!
  17. Actually, I think you are! The oil quality has everything to do with sludge! Your putting SEAFOAM in crankcase for sludge and that would be only reasoning. Obviously your engine has no sludge! Your cleaning the valve seats and stems with Blow-back Really? It is probably not going to do jack injecting in through your TBI so now your thinking the blow-back will get er done or the combo? Why on Gods green Earth do you think 1 can of SEAFOAM in your crankcase is going to settle on your 2014 COKED OUT valve seats? I am just blown away........If a Farmer saw you dumping that in a 2014 Silverado crankcase he would think what the hell is that city slicker doing?
  18. I mean Intake cleaning or Carburetor! Dah, yah it smokes! My bad, my problem is putting that crap in crankcase! For what? Why? I am from the farm.....meaning you have a what 2014 Silverado? This is a brand new engine what are you putting SEAFOAM in there for? look, the conventional oils made today are 100 times better than oils of yesterday....They can go 10,000 miles in heat urban driving and not sludge up! Your not driving a 2.7ltr with like 4 quarts of oil and changing the oil every 10,000 miles on the same antifreeze, air filter you had since you bought it? Folks, Use some common sense here do not put SEAFOAM in your crankcase! Go ask a ASE tech if they put that crap in their crankcase?
  19. Who advocates throwing a liquid bottle of Gumout in their Crankcase? Completely Retarded, Utter Nonsense! Wow-it smokes! Really? I don't even want to know what the thought process is for throwing a bottle of SEAFOAM into a gasoline vehicle engine........................
  20. Complete nonsense people! Do not "just throw a can of Seafoam cleaner in your crankcase" Wow.....I am not looking for a rebuttal either just don't do that people!
  21. hmmm.....Gm reconfigured the intake/outlet ports on their heads to minimize the problem recently......hmmm.....go check out the Ford Ecoboost boys forums all coked up at 50,000K.....hmmmm Ferd's new 3.5 EB has completely addressed this seemingly made up problem of GDI's coking the valves to Mt Rushmore granite hardness! All of which are facts and all of which can be found on the internet......interesting!
  22. You can do all the research and checking you want on something to purchase and still get short handed it happens. I feel for the dude!
  23. That's the ticket.......little shorter and boom! No way I see the Ram's keeping the dashboard knob! A Guy I work with is already saying nope it sucks!
  24. What are your thoughts? I like push button start and want that feature but I just can't drive or should I say REVERSE and 12 point turning situations without the Column shift. In my opinion the benefits of having column shift far outweigh the Ford and RAM Options. The electronic knob on the Rams is just downright "JANKY" I thought that was the "TRUCK" Company?
  25. once it's put on incline or large grade the 8speed is almost perfect! But, yeah I hear ya going 5mph around that first corner after pulling out of the driveway can be felt. After driving mine for 7,000+ miles it really has settled down and I think it's a fantastic setup!
