  1. Good to hear guys! I am almost on 80K problem is.....it runs so God Dang good I think I am gonna see if 300K is in my future. I like the new ones and some things are kinda disappointing to see in other areas where they cut corners as in GM fashion they most definitely did not cut corners on Powertrain. As it stays the same, yet more refined. I just really like how the K2's are solid,quiet and efficient. Who knows give me 15K off a T1 and twist my finger.......but I really don't want to let this one go!
  2. Agree, the tube seems like it's the cat's ass but I have to have it sealed extremely well at the valve cover from dust and dirt etc. I don't see why this would not work with proper cover and fittings not for me though.....

  4. I would go T-Stat route....and upper hose...Yeah, I am still a hose freak anyway?
  5. It should be sitting right at Half way mark when up to temp. Go buy the T-stat and housing along with a new Upper hose...total cost 80.00 change it yourself. If your way below half mark after that investigate further.............

  8. 2016 SLT 75,000 AFM working with no intention of disabling it. AC compressor seized is only thing that has troubled me. 10K Oil Intervals.
  9. Probably gonna be just under 70K on a 2016SLT............Unfortunately, the AC compressor seized & trans temp sensor failed? I am very impressed with the setup
  10. Not sure where the confusion is? GM has the higher spec bypass on the AC DELCO from the git go? The aftermarket is what GM's problem is....they say they are not up to spec.............CHEERS!
  11. Frumpy....Drive your little truck 10k the "GDI" you will consume up to 1/2qt I guarantee it! I know you state concrete scientific facts...Not burned a drop @ 5k? yeah..OK PROVE me wrong I made it to 8th grade and reading your diatribes would make any sane person puke!

Meanwhile the valves flutter endlessly in and out of combustion coking away little by little nothing you can do about bra GDI it's the nature of the beast! Keep driving it like a 88yr old your valves be coking away! Catch cans help though not the end all be all....5K oil changes are just a waste? Do me a favor drive 10K exactly and tell me what you burn? I BET 100% close to 1/2 qt~! Guess what that means? I perfectly sealed engine......it will consume somewhere up to 1/2 qt at that mileage? 5k nope you would be hard pressed to even read a determinable amount so everybody just says...not a drop.....yeah OK?
  14. Seemed like something that I did way more frequently back in the day...Now, it seems like I forget about the bearings as they last so much longer and they are now all in one units!

Nope it's not 6.2L curse...it's 8L90 M5U curse...if you want to remove all the unwanted crap related to the Transmission you will....make sure it has updated Torque Converter made after the initial Stalling failure to engage bulletin et. Replace all coolant and keep filter in place....Drive for few weeks and Replace all fluid, Wire Harness, filter and pan gasket. Your fine when all you get is the two bumps from line pressure in morning off cold soak.....Nothing can be done about it...It's programmed in!

  17. I have heard the rumor. The one about every K2 is junk? The "Vibrator" everyone shakes? AFM your burning 2qts every 5 miles? Lifter failure too? Seat movement? Mylink radio dies? NO REAR AC VENTS.....just thought I put that in there incase you all have not heard that one? NO REAR AC VENTS! Actually, I have really come to expect something everyday with my GMC....hopefully the accelerator breaks off as I am rounding a hard turn in the Mcdonald's drive through! Then I go FERD ACTION!
  18. Please.....You want the flash in the pan? Get the FERD...the pan will not be around in 10+yrs. Fiat, Chrysler, Daimler what is it now RAM? There is a reason they cost few thousand less than a CHEVY! GO get you one and find out? These trucks are ROCK!

  20. I will investigate the issue? Report back after the fluid sensor is changed out.....Stranger things have happened I guess than a fluid temperature sensor always reading 20-25f cooler than it should be? Everything runs fine.......
  21. Grumps, Reading my DIC Trans Temp after driving 45 minutes in Blistering 115f temps read 165f............Maybe I open my mouth to early? Week or two later I notice I am 20-25f off on cold soaked engine? I will let you know after receiving the Temperature sensor and replacing it If fixes my concern? Thanks for nothing............

  23. You probably have the same failure of harness fluid temperature sensor as myself? Sucks....but could be worse and not too bad of a fix it seems?

Yeah, probably to some extent especially with rapid temp changes ambient to garage etc. My problem was the garage never gets below 100f and just happened to notice the trans fluid @ 85f in morning? Did not have to think much beyond that as it sat in 115f heat for 5-6 hours....I drove away only to realize that 86f after my stop watch hit 15 minutes it went to 82f? First out of pocket expense! Dang 64K harness costs 100.00 and have to buy fluid now 200.00........Could be worse I suppose?
