  1. As discussed in a previous post. I went to my local 4WP and they told me about an issue they came across. Apparently on the 2WD trucks, the Automatic Transmission Extension Housings is damaged or not properly installed from the factory. The seal leaks (transmission fluid) and/or wears out prematurely and this causes .... wait for it ... our dreaded shake with the 2WD trucks. Definitely something fishy with the transmission and drive shaft. This has worked so far on a GMC and Chevy. The part number is ACDELCO 24224676. $75 for the part plus labor. Did it fix my shake? About 80% there. I can now get up to 90 MPH without the console throwing itself violently. Unfortunately the shudder between 30 and 55 MPH persists. I still have wheel hop, so that is probably attributed to the crap axles and the trash leaf springs. Good luck YMMV.
  2. I'm working on something new that a local shop found on our trucks. If it works, I'll share the part # and what they did to fix it.
  3. Trading away a headache. I have a 8 yr old Altima that the dealership treats like new. I tell them it's not doing A, and they come back with BCD if applicable. And that's with an extended warranty not purchased from them. The issue is with trucks that are 3 years old or less. Most under warranty from GM. I would want happy-ish repeat customers. Even if I miss on the product from time to time, at least they'd know I wanted their business due to a good service experience.
  4. I'm probably going to sell my truck and drive a beater until further notice. Can't justify being unhappy for this much money every month.
  5. It's not for the consumer to figure out. Going on 3 years solid and not much hope in sight. Trade out when it makes sense financially.
  6. Doesn't help. I did the same thing. It's not a tire problem.
  7. I agree 100% with all of this, especially the gas tank behaving like a water bottle.
  8. All I know is that they gave me the "within spec" speech too. I called bullshit and look forward to when this vibrating headache gets traded in.
  9. They are saying that the problem isn't a problem according to GM's tolerances. In other words, your problem not our problem because we think the vibrations are normal.
  10. Here is a link for reference to the new Hunter machines. http://sandyblogs.com/techlink/?p=7276 http://sandyblogs.com/techlink/?p=7278
  11. Yes. I hate it and it hates me.
  12. I want to, but funds are limited right now.
  13. Lawyer + Lemon Law = Live Longer
  14. Hey man, I'm just glad you got away from the headache. I'll probably sell mine and get something cookie cutter without the shakes.
  15. This is exactly what they do. You are among many who have been turned away.
  16. They will blame the tires. Hold off on making significant changes. They've been known to void warranties over BS.
  17. I know it's JD. He is indeed a good guy and probably much happier since he moved on. Most people will say, hey, it's a truck. They ride like that. I say hey, the ride is too inconsistent, rough, shaky and should be better. FFS, this is the same company that builds Cadillac. They are experts in ride quality in my opinion. I don't need a cadi ride. I want the newborn giraffe feeling to go away.
  18. Somebody tried to do the class action lawsuit already. He was only able to help himself really. If my memory serves me correctly, he got a buyback and then went to another brand shortly after. It's very frustrating and absurd that in 2017 we are plagued with expensive cheap sh1t. Contaminated food, high prices for insurance we can't use, and tons of BS everywhere else. I'm going to keep this truck for another year, and buy myself a leftover 2016/17 Frontier. They'll be cheap AF when the new body style drops. It's what I should have done all along. My current truck is reliable in every other way. Shakes like a twerking video though, even with all of the money I've burned on suspension, wheels, and tires.
  19. The "service" department is only interested in getting you in and out of the "service" department. It is a glorified Jiffy Lube at best. If you want any kind of real analysis or repair, you'll have to find a shop with real mechanics. They'll chase down the problem and charge you accordingly. Otherwise good luck getting this crap resolved. The warranty on these trucks are written with invisible ink.
  20. Game over. Never speak of lemons to them. They'll cut you off.
  21. I'd trade him in a heartbeat.
  22. Every worthless post they add keeps this thread at the top. Thank the troll by ignoring them.
  23. Please look up the lemon law requirements for your state. Keep taking it back to the dealer. Make sure you press them on detailed documentation and do the same for yourself. Sorry this is happening to you. Good luck.
  24. It won't help. It's not wheels and tires unless you have damage. I went from 20s to 18s and the shake continues. Now I'm just systematically replacing crap to make it tolerable. Individual battles are won with this issue, but we are losing overall. Too many variables. Too much time wasted. And time is money.
  25. I see. Beefjr detailed his setup for you. The 4.5" kit runs around $650. Comes with everything you need. Here is a link to realtruck.dotcom for every Maxtrac lift for a 2015.
