I went looking as well and it seems like that is the part # (23193462). It does show unavailable. Maybe it has been superseded by a different part #? The part # for me was 23381964. It's weird. When I first installed it, only the upper half came on. Eventually, the bottom half got warm. Overall, im happy with it. Seems like it gets warm, stops, then gets warm again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yep. Once you get that booger retainer clip off, it slides right out. You have to make sure harness zip tie is cut off and disconnected down below so you have slack to pull the clock spring out. Still trying it figure out how to reinstall the upper/lower column plastic shroud thing. Just isn't lining up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks to all that have contributed to this thread. The photos and descriptions helped tremendously. I did the swap today and all is well. I have a 2016 LT, CCSB truck and swap was pretty straight forward. Took about 1.5 hours. Probably would have taken an hour had I not reinstalled the same wheel. Removing the airbag wasn't as hard as I thought once I found the square hole. LOL. I used the front facing camera of my iPhone to guide me. The flat head to pry it off goes toward to the top of the square hole and you pry the pin downward (so screwdriver upwards). Once the airbag was off, I worked on wheel removal. This uses spark plug socket. Wheel took a little muscle to pull off so make sure you disconnect the connector to the clock spring. The retaining clip to remove the clock spring was a PITA. Running the harnesses down to their location was a breeze. This bar is what you are prying on to remove. Retainer clip holding the clock spring in. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yes! Kudos for tackling a job like this. This is a complex job especially not knowing it'll work and investing $ into parts. So you only needed to send your cluster to WAMS and not the BCM? What was the turnaround for that? How long was your truck down for while waiting? That's my only hesitation with sending a BCM or Cluster to WAMS for programming. Nice Work...Nice work! Yep. That's the exact part #. Found under Electrical/Air Bag Components. If I searched under "Steering Wheel", another discontinued, more expense clock spring comes up. So I found the clock spring that was categorized as "Electrical, Air Bag Components" and it shows a Clock Spring for 2016 LTZ - "Clockspring - Modules & Sensors, W/HTD Strng Wheel". For $48.81?! Others are like $140-$150. The diagrams appear to be the same. Curious are the dramatic price differences. I have the 2016 upfitter and will be looking at all relevant schematics. Also, since I'm only adding the heated wheel and have most everything else, I'm thinking I don't need a reprogram of anything? I'm guessing the heat is just power and ground connections. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Thanks for the info on airbag removal. I saw the pic in one of your other posts about the clip that needs to get pried up to remove. Does your steering wheel have the button above the heater? Don't know what it's for or what it's called. Any info on the clock spring would be great (like part #). Everything I've searched for online shows the clock spring as a discontinued part for 2016. This is awesome! I started looking at your posts about the heated steering wheel mod. I just bought a wheel yesterday from ebay. My model is a 2016 CCSB LT. So I already have radio controls, phone controls, cruise control and such just not the heated option. Is it difficult to remove the steering wheel and airbag? I haven't found a good video showing it on 2014-2017. That's the part I am most uncomfortable with. Did you also have to have the clock spring I've been hearing about so that you have the circuits needed for some of the wheel controls? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If you have a 2016 truck, and able to get the factory harness, you can just wire in your resistor (if you are wiring saavy). I opted to get the harness from Gen5DIY so I didn't have to wire in the resistor. If you have a 14/15, you get the connectors, figure out the repin, wire in the resistor.
