  1. Nicely done. FYI - You can remove the USB connector from the glove box and plug your cable in from behind. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. When you transition from left and right mirror control, it seems that there is a timer delay before the fold button activates. Drove me crazy at first. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Do you have power mirrors? Not power Folding but power adjusting rather? Also - If you can get me a picture of the body side door connector, I can tell you if you can. I haven't worked with a WT truck yet... but willing to get give it a shot. Here is what would be involved: Open the Driver Door. You'll see this boot/connector. Remove this connector. I don't need a picture of the connector itself but would need to see its mate. With the connector removed, use your phone and try to take a couple of shots (might need more than one to capture all the pins) that show the pins. Here is what it would look like: These are the pins we are looking for: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. If you already have an auto dimming mirror, it is relatively easy with a Gen5DIY harness. Their harness moves the power pin from on slot to another. It also provides a GMLAN tap circuit from the back of the radio. If you don't have an auto dimming mirror, it'll be more involved as you'll need to get Power ran to the mirror. At that point, you might as well run the auto dim circuits so that your DL3 Driver side will auto dim as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Thanks for the verification! I have several other 2014 members wanting to achieve functional Puddle Lamps with this diode mod. I have no idea why the BCM only pushes 2.8 Volts to the Puddle Lamp Circuit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Yep. Comes on for a few seconds, then turns off. I added the auto dimming, backup lamp, and run/crank Voltage circuits a few months ago. Adding the Gen5DIY harness made the upgrade really simple. I didn't have to go hunting for a GMLAN circuit today [emoji23]. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. The difference with the mirror is the need for a GMLAN Circuit tap and a power pin relocate. The mirror has omitted a few circuits which are now managed by the GMLAN circuit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. For the mirror to work? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Love seeing these upgrades and success stories! Want to upgrade your DL8 Mirrors to DL3 Mirrors? I have another Plug and Play - Harness Set - Ready to ship! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Installed the Camaro DBX - Frameless Auto Dimming Mirror! Thanks Alexantics! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I used to sell a lot of firearms/ammo. Local UPS Stores close by have changed their ORM-D acceptance policies and no longer accept them so it became a pain to go to their main hub.
  12. Ouch! If only ammo wasn't so stinking hard to ship. I'd ship you some! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. I have another set of Plug and Play harnesses ready to go. PM me for more info! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Yes. Uses a clamp and bolt to secure. Some have used a tack weld to be a little more "secure" from theft. This was an eBay purchase where he threw out a low bid an won the item.
  15. Very cool! I looked up that circuit and it appears to land in the X51L Fuse Panel - Pin #37 in the X2 Connector Tied to the KR73 Ignition Main Relay, Fuse F32DL 7.5A Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Exactly what cbrsilv15 said... Jim, also keep in mind that in order to get auto dim on the driver's side mirror, it is dependent on having the auto dim rear view mirror AND the circuits required the rear view mirror to pass the auto dim circuits to the driver side. When the rear view mirrors auto dim activates, it sends that single to the driver side mirror. My harness will have the auto dim circuits pinned (since I am unwrapping them anyway for the lighting circuits) but you have to complete the mod for the rear view mirror to get them to activate. Also - I would need a photo of the door connector (the side that goes into the body) to verify what pins you have/don't have. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I guess I can look at my driver's seat which is powered and compare.. LOL..
  18. Hey There. Yes, this is possible. I've done them myself. The Inside Rearview Mirror thread where I posted the "How to" is here: http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/192050-a10-inside-rearview-auto-dimming-mirror-conversion-dd8/?hl=a10+inside If you also want the dimming to occur on the Driver's Side Mirror, you'll have to upgrade your DL8 Mirror to DL3 Mirrors. Here is my thread for that. http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/190736-2016-silverado-lt-dl8-to-dl3-mirror-conversion-finally-complete-3/page-4?hl=dl8+to+dl3+conversion&do=findComment&comment=1900660 I have also made it easier for the DL8 to DL3 upgrade and make it Plug and Play with a custom harness that I build. Here is the thread for that. http://www.gm-trucks.com/forums/topic/196569-fs2014-silveradosierra-custom-plug-and-play-harness-for-dl8-to-dl3/?hl=dl8+to+dl3+conversion&do=findComment&comment=1923331
  19. So if my passenger seat is already leather and heated, but is a manual adjust, could I get the components to make it Power adjust? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Try to poke around a little deeper when you can. When I took out my X51R Fuse Panel, I found a pigtail harness taped back. Not sure what that was for but it's there for something. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. This is the 2 pin power/ground connections for the heated steering wheel. The new clock spring has a pig tail that goes down in the pedals area. My harness loom had the mating end to plug my clock spring power connector to. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Thank you for the kind words and compliments! First off - Let me start by saying what a Beautiful looking truck you have there! This upgrade definitely had our work cut out for us (well, mainly for you) . This was certainly a collaborative effort to achieve this upgrade. Great write up! For anyone looking to perform a Towing Mirror or DL3 Mirror upgrade, I cannot stress how important it is to help me understand what all will be needed. This upgrade required additional work beyond installing the Custom Plug and Harness. It required taking the body side - inline door connector in the door hinge and adding pins to it. It also included running these wires to various places under the dash and tapping into the BCM. So if you are a candidate that missing circuits - be prepared Nice work! I'll be reaching out for that chrome stripper stuff. I am looking to either swap my grill to a black painted Z71 Grille or strip and color match like you did. Might be doing the same to my headlight trim. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. So if you're intrigued, I'm intrigued too . My truck is a 2016 LT. Came with leather heated, but Manual Seats. I'll explore the X310 connector on the passenger side. So would this be a possible Plug and Play for me? I don't have A45 Seat Memory and it looks like I may just need the power seats and the harness that plugs into the X310 connector.
  24. Nice! When I did my heated steering wheel mod, I had no idea I needed that 2 pin connector (must have missed that detail in the thread). It was a nice find though when I did. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Nothing much different except they stay on a little longer and controllable with the lamp. Toyed with the idea of making the puddles blink with the Turn Signals . Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
