  1. Oh the 2" level kit ride is terrible?
  2. Hey so on my 2021 AT4 with stock UCA and Stock 20" wheels I added 305/55 R20 Yokohoma MTs and I am very close to the UCA, but not touching it. If I added teh 2" RC leveling kit, does it move the UCA up or down or would I have the same amount of room? I hate to pay for the kit and have a shop install and then my tires don't fit. Thanks for any info.
  3. I know I watched somebody on YouTube buy a grill overlay that is held on by 3m tape. It looked pretty good and seemed to fit well. Only issues on the 2 installs I watched both had to make an opening for the front camera. Most people on the bezel was getting it vinyl wrapped or painting them.
  4. Looks good. So what level did you do?
  5. I did already, because I want to level my truck and some of the kits are different. My front and back are right around 2” off.
  6. Yeah I used plasti dip on my wheels, emblems and tail pipes.
  7. Thanks for all the information, I have definitely learned a lot from reading everything. It was all a lot to take in at first, but it’s clicking now lol.
  8. This may be a dumb question. If I just change the springs instead of a level would I change UCAs still?
  9. Yeah the 2 dealers in my area both say they use RC 2” level. One uses the regular trucks kit and shaves the kit down some. Neither use other kits and change UCAs. They claim Gm authorizes them to use RC kit. I don’t know enough about it all to argue with them. It makes me nervous though after talking with some on here and after doing some other research. I don’t do any off-roading and pretty much just drive to and from work around 20 minutes. So I don’t need anything crazy expensive. I also don’t want to go cheap either, but good quality. I mostly just want to level out my truck and don’t mind slight rake. I know every truck is a little different and my truck is roughly 2” lower in the front. So make it simple for me on what I should go with and I’ll research it.
  10. Nice. Do you have the arms and their 1” level kit?
  11. Ok I was curious about that. I’ll stay away from that. I talked to another dealership in my area and they said they use the RC kit also. They claim GM authorizes them to use it and they have had no issues. I told them I would want my control arms changed and they said they don’t mess with those if I had an issue lol. So I’m torn on what to. Do the kit and take my chances, because if I have an issue they will cover me? Or buy something else and try to find a shop yo install it. Also what’s your take on after market cold air intakes? I forgot to ask the second dealership.
  12. I looked that brand up. Do you like them?
  13. Yeah that’s why I’ve been reading on here and looking up kits and things. I want to do it right. I’m new to all this. My 15 model I just took it to a shop and had them put on a level. Yeah I even called the service manager at the dealership and he said you had to be very careful. He said the kit for the AT4s by RC he didn’t like. He said he uses the kit for the regular kit and grinds part of the spacer down and angles it. He said he’s had no issues on any of the trucks he’s done it that way. He also said they would cover any issue. It still makes me nervous. So do you think it’s ok to put a level kit on it with new control arms or doing something different? Also I wanted to know about CAIs. He said not to put one on the truck, because it’s been making the trucks burn to lean and causing piston issues. He said GM won’t even sale theirs anymore unless it comes on the truck.
  14. Yeah I’ve looked at some and my tires wouldn’t work. I think I’m just going to let the dealer do it and see how it goes lol.
  15. If your talking to me everything is stock. I plan on adding a leveling kit. It’s close to running one of the bars in full lock, but not that close if it makes since. I’ll get some pictures later. Just had them put on Saturday.
  16. I just put some Yokohama Geolander MTs 305/55 R20 on my 21 AT4 and they fit.
  17. Yeah I honestly like the ride in my truck a lot. I hated the way my 15 model rode though. Any particular spacer kit and arms you recommend? Also did you see the level kit thread I started about what my dealer said?
  18. I know I know this topic has been beat to death. So I know next to nothing on this subject. On another thread I posted a rep from RC said with their 2” AT4 level kit you do not need new UCAs. So with all the options and confusion I called my dealer where I bought my truck. I talked to the service manager and he said he hated the RC lift for the AT4. He said though instead he used the level kit from RC for the regular trucks and shaved it down and put it on a certain way. He said he is happy with everything this way and if something goes wrong I’m covered there. He also told me not to put any cold air intakes in. He said GM won’t even sale me one unless I got it with the truck. He said they are burning to lean and messing up the pistons. He said that’s what the flashing was for to fix this. I wanted the S & B, but now I’m torn.
  19. Yeah he lied or just didn’t know what he was talking about. Like I posted he said I would have to change anything with their 2” level kit and scything would be fine. I asked him about other kits saying to change UCAs he said don’t believe everything you read online. Almost also made it sounded like other companies wanted more money. So I’m dumb with this stuff. Should I get a level with new UCAs or get new shocks lol I want good advice.
  20. I was told the UCAs on the AT4 are longer.
  21. Yeah I know next to nothing on this subject. Could be companies trying to make money. But yeah unless the dude from RC doesn’t know what he’s talking about I don’t know. A lot of shops in my area are doing it also with no issues. Most UCAs aren’t to bad on price so if needed I would change. Are the knew UCAs a lot different than mine?
  22. Hey guys so I haven’t been on here much after I modded out my 15 Sierra. Here I am though. My transmission started giving me problems so I fixed it and got to good of a deal to trade it in. So I got my 2021 AT4 July the 8th and after looking on here you guys cost me a lot more money. I’ve tinted the windows, taillights, side part of headlights, fog lights and the blinker on the mirrors , plasti dipped the GMC logos and the AT part of the AT4, tail pipes, wheels, debadged sierra off back tailgate, bought the center storage kit off Amazon, put a flow master 40 serious on and cut off the flapper and tapped the resonators, ceramic coat, getting 305/55 R20 Yokohama Geolander MTs, I ordered Lund rock rails with rampage short steps (best looking nerf bars in my opinion). Wife’s not to happy on my spending lol. So once the heats off me I’ll buy and S & B cold air intake and an RC 2” level kit. I talked to RC today and they stated you do not need to change out the UCAs with their kit. Most others you do, but RC said they designed them this way.
  23. I think the level for the Trailboss/AT4 is a 2” by RC and it’s not the same kit for the regular trucks. Make sure you get the right one and RC told me the UCAs are fine with the right kit and installed right.
  24. I hear you, but RC said the AT4s UCAs are longer than the regular trucks and are fine with their kits. I would think they would know, but I am a new to all this.
