  1. I installed the full kit on my 6.2. I also have a GM borla dual exit and AR longtubes headers. You probally get pretty close to the same performance and keep the stock box or look cool as hell with the cone filter. Sent from my SM-G955U1 using Tapatalk
  2. Think we need a sound clip. My air raid full kit defiantly made some more noise but it was more like a whooshing/low growl sound that was not too bad at all. After I installed gm borla cat back exhaust I can't even pick out the sound. I only have a touring exhaust so it is not that loud at all. I also have a 6.2. It made no noise unless I was around 2k RPM. Sent from my SM-G955U1 using Tapatalk
  3. The test drive does not tell you anything. My 2017 Denali 1500 was smooth as glass up to 6500mi. I did my first tire rotation and there was the shake. 72mph and up. I had all 4 tires balanced right after the 1st rotation, no help. Just rotated them back and lo and behold it is still there even worse. I really don't want to go through the hassle of dealing with the dealer and I also have about 5k in mods headers, cat-back, hard painted tonneau, bedslide, CAI, catch-can, tune. So even if I got them to buy it back it would be a nightmare. I even waited 5k miles before I did those mods just to see if any odd issues would pop up. Looking at the seat next to me shaking back and forth and my vape (e-cig) and glass e-juice bottle start clanking together in the console cup holder really gives me a warm fuzzy feeling inside like I'm riding in luxury. 4. Sounds like a load of BS to me ask them to show you the tire with the broken belt or your not going to pay because your tire was fine on the way in and there is no way in hell you would have not noticed it. They most likely messed up your tire bead taking it off and on the rim and are footing you with the bill. You would instantly know if a belt broke in your tire and it is not common occurrence unless a tire is really, really worn or defective. Sent from my SM-G955U1 using Tapatalk
  5. I tried wire it open once and got frustrated. I'll give another go and report back. Sent from my SM-G955U1 using Tapatalk
  6. I have the GM Borla dual exit on my 2017 6.2l Denali. Luckily I don't have the rattle at idle or when going in out of V4. But I do get a high pitched tin can type of noise when I get on it from 2.5k RPM about 3.5k RPM. If I don't get on it hard I don't hear it. Seems to me like the flapper valve is acting like a reed in an instrument. It might be because I have headers in front of it. It is annoying when I want get on it that is what I have to hear. 7. I was on of those that claimed the 2 MPG increase with the Air-raid full kit. How did you make out? Sent from my SM-G955U1 using Tapatalk
  8. I see Monroe makes a drop in non magnetic replacement. Not that I would suggest them. But I would assume other companies do. Also don't see why OEM shocks for a non Denali 1500 wouldn't work they are the same truck. On eBay you can order all 4 Magnetic shocks and struts for $1230 with springs and all. http://www.ebay.com/itm/142476143907 Not too bad especially if you felt comfortable enough to do it yourself. With the springs it would be a straight foward install or not to expensive to have installed. Sent from my SM-G955U1 using Tapatalk
  9. I don't blame you it was hard pill to swallow but it's my truck and I going to enjoy it. While silently praying nothing happens....hehe Sent from my SM-G955U1 using Tapatalk
  10. Wow I planned on keeping my truck to 300k so that means I'm in for 3 shock changes. Jesus. And it doesn't sound like you can really drive it when they go bad. Normal shocks you can just put up with the bad ride until you want to replace them. Sent from my SM-G955U1 using Tapatalk
  11. Depends on how powerful the impact wrench is and even worse is due to any kind of pressure change before the compressor kicks on some wheel lugs could possibly be only about hand tight. Sent from my SM-G955U1 using Tapatalk
  12. I installed my Intake before my headers and exhaust and the only sound I could hear was the growl under the hood above 2k rpm. I don't see how it would have any significant impact on the exaust sound. My gm borla touring rear dual exit sounds nice but I also have a set of AR long tube headers in front of it. Go get some headers and a tune if you really want get some performance as well. Either that or get the Borla Sport or Attack. Sent from my SM-G955U1 using Tapatalk
  13. Chances are the issues you had in the past where idiots with a powerful impact wrench that didn't bother with a torque wrench. If I don't do my tires myself I make sure I'm at a place where I can watch them use the torque wrench. Sent from my SM-G955U1 using Tapatalk
  14. You are over thinking it tigten them up snug and then get the torque wrench and tighten them to 140lbs in a star pattern. The reason for different torque specs are due to different stud sizes not the rim material here read this. https://m.tirerack.com/tires/tiretech/techpage.jsp?techid=107 Sent from my SM-G955U1 using Tapatalk
  15. You're right on the money it's 140 no matter what steel or aluminum. Sent from my SM-G955U1 using Tapatalk
  16. Got one myself on my 2017 Denali 1500 and I'm loving it looks like it was made to be there from the factory. Had to get mine painted at a shop. dark slate metallic. Sent from my SM-G955U1 using Tapatalk
  17. From my research no Sierra, Denali or not is not getting 10 speed in 2018 yukon yes. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
  18. I have a feeling that that's what they are going to do with the 10 speeds. I would be curious to see the gear ratio chart with the 10-speed compared to the 8-speed. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
  19. I have the exact same experience as you. If im coasting along and slowing to a stop thats how it happens 90% of the time. Once in a blue moon taking off slowly. It is between 1st and 2nd for sure. I think the tune seems to help a bit because they made it downshift sooner but between the trans. Relearn after a flash and all of that who knows. Its sucks but not a huge deal becuse it doesnt happen often. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
  20. I got some gripes with my 2017 8 speed the clunking is really annoying. Tune helped but its still there. I can deal with it but everytime it happens can't help but feel like it's damaging something inside the trans. Luckily it only happens once or twice a week i drive on average 80-90 miles a day. 21. I had my heart set on the denali before I walked in the door. I test drove an elevation just to see and still went for the denali. I when i walk in a store, mechanic shop, mall. I know what i want before i walk in. Cant say i havent been upsold before if something fits my needs better but I'm gonna enjoy my truck and spend a little more wisely in the future. Hehe.... those new 2019 denali ultimates are gonna be sick i already want one and i havent even seen a pic...dont quote my previous passage when i'm posting up pics here. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
  22. I know sweet color. I like how it can look grey, blue, or green depending on lighting or angle. Bodyshop painted my tonneau and i totally thought they screwed up color untill i looked from a different angle. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
  23. I got a an elevation as a courtsey truck while my denali ultimate was at the service center and i was wondering why i paid around 30k more hell i paid 55k out the door and could have two elevations with some money left for mods on both. I love my denali but just saying those elevations offer some value for the buck. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
  24. I'm not big on the blackout but those rims are sweet. Truck too. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
  25. If you got a 2017 8 speed Blackbear cant help you. They use EFI Live only I had to go to a shop that uses HPTuners and it still has a few caveats to get it all tuned. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk
