  1. I actually saw a truck here locally who had what looked to be the XB’s and they were not the smoked/black housing. I originally thought the same thing, I felt they would look better with the non smoked housing because it would flow with the headlights but after seeing them I like the smoked look better. Here is mine (before and after) Powder coated bumper, A/T Grille, Black Emblem, Added Foglights and of course swapped out Headlights
  2. I have Morimoto XB’s as well on my SLE and just like WSFD said, very bright, great cut-off. I love them.
  3. Not sure, I’m sure you could call and ask but I am willing to be they just haven’t tried it yet. Might be able to get lucky and be their tester and get it cheap and/or free install
  4. Yea this one comes with C-Notch and crossmember notch for rear end (“pumpkin”) Part #6524
  5. They do! Really nice kit too, I welded mine instead of drilling and using the supplied bolts/spacers because honestly, once you cut the frame you won’t ever be able to remove the c-notch so why waste time drilling and bolting. Once you cut the frame the notch should stay in there forever.
  6. I’m running stock 275/55/20 in the rear and 275/45/20 up front with a Belltech 5/7 drop and Belltech C-Notch. I rub up front in full lock in Reverse but my main concern is the rear, rubbing the bottom of the fender. I have been researching and trying to decide with what wheels/tires to get for MONTHS. Seeing some of these really helped, I was initially wanting 24’s but don’t want “rubberband” tires but was afraid to go to 22’s as there would either be too much tire gap or to keep the gap minimal the tires would be too big on the rim and it wouldn’t look right, after seeing a few trucks here on 22’s though, I think I decided. Anyone rub in the back though? Big bumps? Anyone notch there fenders?
  7. Hey ClayP I’m going to send you a message with some questions, once you get it all hooked up let me know. I also have an SLE and got the harness from Gen5, (also ordered a fog light harness from them as well) and things are working great but I am curious on a couple of things and wanted to see if it’s something on my end or not.
  8. Yea I feel the same way about lighting. Mine is an SLE and it didn’t come with fog lights. I added fog lights and wanted to use the stock switch but even if I bought the entire stock harness with fog light plugs I still wouldn’t be able to use the stock switch because the wiring all goes through the computer and the dealer told me they wouldn’t reflash the computer to add fog lights so I had to use a separate switch......I was bummed.
  9. Ha ha! I really want to upgrade my SLE to the 8” and all that and still plan to but it isn’t something I NEED (hell nothing I have done to it is but still lol) so I am holding off in hopes that I can find a wrecked truck and get a hookup at a dealer or something. Probably a pipe dream but hey a man can dream can’t he? Lol
  10. Infotainment.com has the whole kit plug and play for $1400-$1500 I believe and then you can add Apple CarPlay for a total cost of $1900.
  11. I couldn’t decide if I wanted to leave the plugs in or buy tow hooks but being a regular cab I decided to pass on the tow hooks. I left mine as it was. Black plastic from the factory. I thought about painting it but I think it looks ok with the flat black on it. It wasn’t hard to get off for me because I had the whole bumper off ha ha but it does all bolt/screw/clip in from the backside of the bumper. Now that I am thinking about it though I’m not sure if you can get it off without the bumper being removed. Surely that isn’t the case though. I wasn’t paying a whole lot of attention as I had to remove the bumper anyways but I know I put it back on before I put the bumper back on too and I was looking around behind there and I don’t remember seeing a way to get to those screws. I wonder if you could get it off just by taking the plastic piece above the bumper off though. That would make a lot more sense.
  12. Looks good! I finished mine a couple weeks ago and forgot to post pics. I did a lot more than just heads and tails but I am pretty happy with how it turned out. Changed from SLE to A/T Grille Black GMC letters Powdercoated front and back bumper Added Morimoto XB LED Fogs 2017 Headlights and Taillights Replaced Front Bumper Skid Plate (old one had a hole in it) and added the License Plate Cover
  13. I have a buddy here in town (Wichita Kansas) that works at a dealership but the owners also own a GMC dealership and he quoted me $3095 after tax his cost. I also have a connection at LKQ here in town and he told me they can't get the LED headlights only the HID and the LED tail lights are refurb's and said they are kind of a crap shoot, I won't know what I'm getting until I get it. I'm thinking the LKQ here in town just can't get them they have to be available somewhere. So I have a 2014 SLE I am assuming I just need the lights and harnesses still. As far as the DRL shutting off when the blinker is on is that fixed now as well?
  14. I am actually wanting to take my 2014 1500 reg cab bumper off and get one without the steps from an older one.......assuming this is possible too?
  15. First ever Truck owner here, I thought I knew what I wanted/needed about 15 pages ago, now I have no idea what I want or if I can even do what I want lol I have 2014 Sierra SLE Regular Cab with 5.3 Can I put 2016-2017 SLT/Denali headlights and tail lights in? If so, besides getting the headlights and tail lights, who do I need to get in contact with the get the harnesses? Has all flickering, etc.., been fixed? I also do not have fogs but want to add the morimoto XB's but I want to use the stock switch (which does not have a spot for fogs) so I wasn't sure if anyone can point me in the right direction on getting the switch with the position for fogs and the wiring involved to use the stock switch? Thanks for any help
