I have the Borla touring exhaust on mine. You can hear it when you accelerate, but it’s not overpowering. There is no drone at highway speed. Borla has 3 versions. The touring is the quietest of the 3. From quietest to loudest: Touring, S-Type then ATAK. https://www.borla.com/gmc-sierra-1500-exhaust-systems/
14 and 15 headlights are the worst. They are so bad that I think there should be a recall. I upgraded my 15 Sierra SLT with a HID kit from the retrofit source. BIG difference. https://www.theretrofitsource.com/2014-sierra-morimoto-elite.html?carDisplay=2015+GMC+Sierra+(w%2F+Projector+Lights)&preselect=47338%2C51822%2C54433&preselect_restrict=1

Baldhills replied to Jason Godfrey's topic in 2014-2018 Silverado & Sierra ModsYour Dealership like mine didn’t want to do it. They actually told me to go to a body shop to get it done. Said they had no way to do it. This was after getting my left side light assembly replaced under warranty. Then they wonder why we don’t like dealers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I did the same thing your looking at doing. I have compressed springs before on cars, but never on a truck. These springs are large. You can’t rent a spring compressor from a parts store that will do it safely. Find a shop that will finish the job for you when you bring the removed struts to them. If you can’t find anyone to compress the springs. Find a shop to do it all.
