  1. Yes it has the 10 speed transmission and we did change fluid around the 100k mark. The majority of miles we put on it is highway so I think that could be the reason for not having any emission issues. My daily driver is 2024 GMC AT4 HD and after 33,000 miles it hasn't had an issue, other than regular oil/filter changes I've done nothing to it.
  2. We had a 2016 Ram 3500 for a delivery truck for our shop and it was in the shop a lot. It had a Cummins, which I loved but the Aisin transmission was a problem. We got rid of it and replaced it with a 2020 GMC 3500HD and haven't had any issues at all, it's currently pushing 300,000 miles and the only things we've replaced are tires, brakes and a rear end seal that started leaking at around 200,000 miles. I really like the Cummins but I feel like the rest of the truck is behind GM and Ford. If I was forced to jump to a different brand I would go to Ford...
  3. The striker is located on the B-pillar, loosen the screws a bit but don't remove them and move it in the up direction. I ended up adjusting all 4 doors on my 2024 AT4. I put a piece of masking tape below the striker on the B-pillar before I loosened the screws, this allowed me to measure how far I moved it. I adjusted them all about 1/4" in the up direction and it solved the rattling problem. It does change the body line gaps because it lifts the door a little in the closed position but I really don't think it's that noticeable. Hope that answers your questions.
  4. Traded my 22' Sierra 2500HD AT4 Gasser in on a new 24' Duramax, I also took the GY's off and put on a set of LT285/65R20 Michelin Defender LTX Platinum's.
  5. I have a 2022 GMC AT4 2500HD with the 6.6 gasser/6 speed tranny combo and pull a 5th wheel camper similar in size to the new one you're considering. This is our 4th fifth wheel camper and my 5th 2500HD so it's not my first rodeo. The other 4 trucks had Duramax diesels which I absolutely loved and I had no issues with any of them. To me when towing a camper like that weight really isn't as much of a factor as wind drag, the 6.6 gasser pulls my camper fine when the wind isn't blowing but on a windy day it's not much fun, don't get me wrong as it gets the job done but it works the gasser pretty hard. With my Duramax trucks I can't ever recall a time where I felt like the truck was out of power or that it was being worked hard, the power and torque the Duramax produces is so impressive and really shines when towing on windy days. I bought this 6.6 gas truck mainly because I liked the idea of saving the $10k versus buying the diesel and I wanted to give it a try but I will for certain be getting a Duramax for my next truck as I miss the power. Not putting the 6.6 gasser down at all as it does what I ask it to do and it's a huge improvement over the old 6.0 but when it comes to raw power there's no comparison. I have no doubt that your current truck will pull the new trailer just fine and honestly I don't think it will ever fail to get you where you're going. It sounds like you really enjoy your current truck so if I were you I would try pulling the new camper on some trips and see what you think before you go out and drop the cash to replace it. One more bit of advise, don't test drive a Duramax unless your prepared to buy it...
  6. Nice looking setup, how do the Platinums ride?
  7. It does change the gaps some, my truck is black so it's not too noticeable. After moving it up as far as it would go I dropped the catch down about an 1/8" on the front door so that helped with the miss match and it still makes the door close tight. I can live with the miss match but can't stand doors that rattle...
  8. Thanks for the advice! I had rattling doors on my 2022 AT4 so I took your advice and moved the catch up as far as it would go and problem was solved.
  9. I put the Husky splash guards on and I like them so far, time will tell how they hold up but they seem to be pretty solid and I like how they match up with the factory molding.
  10. Installed Husky splash guards on my 22 AT4 HD, easy install and I like how they match up to the existing molding.
  11. Please post some pictures of your new truck when you have time, would love to see it....
  12. Not my truck, saw it on a dealers website.
  13. Great looking truck, those AT4 wheels look really nice! Was there any issues with getting the Chevy center caps to fit correctly?
  14. Truck looks great! What are the specs on your wheels and tires?
  15. You have to push the button twice to open all 4 doors and just once to unlock the door you're opening.
  16. The one that came with my High Country didn't have the hole for the camera so I cut one in it. The dealer did replace it under warranty with a new cover that has the camera hole in it but I don't have a picture of it. The one in the picture is the cover that I cut the hole in, it's not a terrible looking cover and it seems to look a little better than the GMC covers. I will say it's easier to put on and take off than some of the older models.
  17. Every 3500HD High Country that I looked at had 20" wheels.....
  18. That looks really good!
  19. I only really wanted the basic remote start app plan so I pushed the blue onstar button and was prepared to haggle with them. I talked to a customer service guy and told him I thought $15 per month was too much for the basic remote plan. Without hesitation he instantly dropped it to $7.00 per month for one year, he said it will automatically go back to the $15 rate after the year is up. He said when that happens just contact onstar again and they will lower it back to the $7.00. I can live with that...
  20. Not sure if you found a truck yet but here's a 2020 GMC Denali 3500HD in Fremont Nebraska https://www.siddillonbuickgmc.com/VehicleSearchResults?year=2020&make=GMC&model=Sierra 3500HD
  21. I used a 3-7/8" for the large center hole and a 3-1/2" on the smaller holes. I drilled them from the top, on my 2018 the factory put small dimples in the bed for the hole locations which made it pretty simple.
  22. I found an extra cap that I had for the smaller holes but I can't find any info on the larger center cap. I traded that truck in on a 2020 so I can't look at the center plug. Attached are pictures of the smaller plug. I'm sure the local dealership could help you out with them.
  23. I ordered mine from the local GM dealership, I wasn't sure what the part number was but they were able to pull it up and order them for me.
  24. Would you be able to post some more pictures as I would like to see how far they stick out from the fender well?
  25. Nice looking truck, what wheels do you have?
