  1. I have a airraid cold air tube waiting to be installed. This is on top of all the following I’ve already done: amp research steps rollbak cover gm all weather mats JL sub/ kicker amp factory bed lights added yellow led fog lights tinted front windows chrome tip round wheel well plugs pocket stake plugs power tail gate lock trailer brake controller (Reese remote mount) up next is fixing the hail damage from a few weeks ago. White truck with hail dents literally makes it like a golf ball. Haha. Oh well pdr here we come!
  2. Did my install a few weekends ago. I mounted my box on the metal bracket below the steering wheel, behind the lower panel. I didn’t take a pic of it though.
  3. Just installed mine today. Thanks all for the info and zip tie trick. I too broke my driver side wire cover. 25 degree weather and aggressive negotiations with it didn’t mix well. Lol. Some super glue and zip ties and we were back in shape
  4. Just got the roll bak put on. It was quite the pain to square up so it rolled correctly.
  5. Ordered a rollback hard retractable cover, gm bed lights and a stainless tail pipe tip tonight. Already have my amp steps installed and my 10 inch JL sub/kicker amp installed (Bose factory stuff). That should do it for a while. I may add the lock actualtor to the tailgate soon as I’m sure I’ll get tired of manually doing it soon since my last two trucks had that from the factory.
  6. Yep that’s what mine looked like too. Blew my mind lol. Although with mass produced items it really shouldn’t anymore.
  7. I just bought mine used this month so I’m not sure. Had 19500 on it so it’s entirely possible. I find it strange so many have the exact same issues. Had to be an assembly line issue. I ran into a similar but much more dangerous issue on my 15 2500 Cummins I traded in on this truck. I was about to install a steering brace on it and was doing some reading for bolt size on the steering pitman arm nut. Lots of guys said theirs was finger tight when it should have had 175-200lbs of torque on it. I thought no way they were making crap up (it was on the internet aftetall lol). So I go to install and sure enough my pitman arm retaining nut was finger tight and barely on. At this point my truck had 1700 miles on it. I was blown away as many others on that thread said theirs was loose too.
  8. I read it on here on another thread just by chance one day. I had been driving myself nuts trying to find the metallic rattle. I read that thread and thought it was worth a look. I already had most of my interior apart doing a sub install so I pulled that panel too. Sure enough mine were loose just as others described. No more rattles now, at least until the bass kicks in. Lol
  9. Pull the plastic off under the steering wheel and I bet you find the bolts holding that support in are loose. I had the same noise in my 15 and three of those four bolts were loose.
  10. I added amp steps and finished my sub/amp install this past weekend. Now that I've read more of these threads I've added the interior led lights and driver entry handle to my "to do" list. All for my new to me 15. The amp install wasn't very bad at all. Pretty straight forward. I soldered all connections vs using their crimp's so that slowed me down just a tad. Also wrapped any bare wires with oem cloth heat proof tape. Made for a very nice install. The sub/amp was a lot more of a pita. Getting the LC2i dialed in was interesting. It's all installed on my back wall behind the oem sound proofing (with a section removed for air flow). I used a sheet of abs plastic with bolts running through the back of it to mount the amp/lc2i to and then double side taped that to the back wall. No holes to drill or anything. I used the back bolt on the jack mount to ground everything too (after some sand paper rubbing). Overall a very clean install with only the box showing. I did run a remote turn on using the under dash koeo loction in the left side of the plug banks. That solved a lot of my issues with not turning on/off correctly on the lc2i.
