    Take it to the dealer and have them check it out, could be as simple as a flash/program. We’ve got the 16 SLT 5.3 loaded out, and absolutely love it, 30k miles on it, use it strictly for road trips. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Kinda like cigarettes? Lol! Anything the Government can tax and make money out of isn’t going to slow down the sale just annoy someone like me. There was no hysteria on my part just relaying what happened. I vaguely remember something about a liner or some kind of coating that wasn’t installed somewhere that would be able to handle the ethanol which is why it messed up the fuel system. I used to only use Shell Diesel fuel and it ended up having bad fuel multiple times making it look like to the dealership that I use crappy fuel, Kroger hasn’t failed anyone I know.     I used E85 on my 14, had engine problems because of it, after dealer messed with it even replacing something (I forgot) that was eaten up from the ethanol, went back to 89 and it was fine, traded it in. Once you have a bad experience with E85, it’ll never leave you. I run nothing but 93 in my 6.2 and occasionally use Lucus fuel line cleaner just Incase fuel is not clean.     Isn’t that crazy though, either they’re building roads in Texas (God Bless Texas and our Governor Abbott) way faster than GPS can be mapped out or it’s a scam cause my 18 doesn’t have some “newer” roads built three years ago.     No, I wasn’t talking about accidents causing damage. I was talking about the mounting areas, should’ve elaborated. Apparently, now this was years ago, only had heavy steel then, excessive stress fractures found on half tons located at the front mounting caused by these type of heavy steel front bumpers.     I remember years ago while attending the Auto show in Texas I saw an advertisement from Dodge raving about the Durango, saying it’s a big badass 4x4 taking on everyone. I thought wow! Couldn’t be farther from the truth disgusting pc of [emoji90] Crossovers do nothing for me, bet it’s garbage like most of the other crossovers on the road.     Totally agree with you. The tires I have now are 275/60/20 KO2’s. I’m looking at possibly switching them out for 285/65/20’s just for a bit more girth. My neighbor loves his Cooper AT3’s Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Had a couple hours to kill, tossed the defenders and installed the new Michelin Premier LTX. Going on a short 3 hour road trip in the hills in a couple weeks, I’ll let you know how well they ride but so far so good. FYI: I was warned that they may wear out quicker than their 60K advertised.     E85 may give you a bit more HP if you even notice it but it caused my 14 5.3 issues back then. The one thing that’s [emoji817]% is that you won’t get near the mpgs that you’d normally get with regular gas. Give it a try, try super and worse case would be trade it in or just keep it.     A lot of trucks have custom wheels which look much better with blacked out sidewalls. Nostalgia maybe but not in current folks that off road whether light or heavy cause you’ll rip the outline off with one rub. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    I totally agree with you, these are going on my wife’s 2WD Yukon XL, it’ll never see snow and if it does it’ll be light. I took another 4X4 up to Colorado with another 4X4 SUV and did great with these same tires but not good at all once you hit a patch of ice. This is primarily for long distance trips in dry or wet weather in southern US but never snow areas Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    I posted these last night, Michelin defenders rode very well in my 3/4 ton trucks and my my half tons. The Yukon is a different story, it’s our first two wheel drive SUV, the norm has always been 4X4. It came with the continentals and road super smooth but I wanted something a bit more trustworthy so that’s why I outfitted it with new defenders, at first I thought ok, needs some breaking in, nope! They’re now with 20K on them and they’re super rough. Thought about switching out the shocks like I’m doing on my 1500 but I don’t like it when my wife gives me that look along with don’t touch my Yukon lol. Here’s the pic I put on last night of the Michelin LTX I’m looking at switching to this week. Btw, I’ve got this OCD thing about tires, started every since my daughters were born, new ones every year to year and a half. I trade them in. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Here’s what I’m switching the Yukon’s tires to, getting rid of the harsh riding Defenders and going with Michelin Premier LTX, should be a much softer ride with very excellent performance in wet and dry. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    I love my BFG KO2’s! Next week I’m going to throw on some bigger KO2’s which should improve the ride. The Yukon XL is a different story, do they still make the Michelin LTX? The defenders ride really rough for being Michelin’s. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Yeah, having more meat on the tire seems to be the way to go. I may go from a 275/60/20 D rated to a 275/65/20 E rated, wish they were C rated lol but also ordered my new Fox Shocks all the way around apparently back ordered till next week. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    My 14 WITH 275/55/20 did that, switched out all shock, went with Bilstein 5100’s then Michelin LTX, went away. There are a few things that were recalled on them but got rid of it and then went with my DMax and now absolutely love my 18. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
