That’s fine but when all is said and done, you bought a V8 and not a 4 or 6 cylinder because it is much more authoritarian than the 4’s or 6’s, the 5.3 is a great motor, both have been around a while, one just has much more hp and torque than the other and does cost more and prefers Pwemium too. Congratulations, that’s just awesome that you’re enjoying your 5.3, it’s an excellent platform and as you’ve already pointed out, there was no need for the extra horsepower and torque. The new T1’s are a bit lighter therefore better weight torque horsepower ratio. But, that said, the 6.2 isn’t as you’ve described, there have been numerous tests performed between the two and the 6.2 always came out with flying colors. He’s not asking for anything out of the ordinary, he’s got a point. These forums are beginning to get more and more negative. Let’s not focus on the negatives but rather assisting him on positives. Seems to me he’d get an answer either way, he’s already at a negative so either we help him or say nothing at all. I’d try and reason with the dealership and if say it’s out of their hands and refusing to assist then write up a very negative review especially considering with all the negatives publicity GM is currently going through for the exact issues. If you’re enjoying your truck, check your odometer mileage when purchased, may have had a couple thousand on it already, fix it and try to get a good deal either through the dealership or independent shop, whichever makes you happier. If not, sell it or just trade it in! Currently, GM (as others) is in a massive lawsuit with consumers for their knowingly selling vehicles with faulty transmissions. As of today, each and every manufacturer out there has been pushed to the outer limits by the EPA and trying to out do each other, no guarantee any manufacturer will be problem free, those old days are gone as we now live in a disposable world. If you’ve got geico or another insurance, they may have an added protection plan available that would 100% cover it. There are a couple good aftermarket companies out there that could help with breakdowns, your service department would know their names. A buddy of mine bought a new Raptor last year, been in the shop 6 times for the same over heating issues and seal issues in door when it rains. He paid $80 plus custom work to it. Now a days, new is a crap shoot, may be better off just fixing it and keeping it as you know your truck. Just remember, ALL the manufacturers are concentrated on profits over quality, all of them! Why did multiple doctors come out and do a press release, speaking out against mainstream media and that it’s very curable and that people don’t have to die only to be hushed, all social media deleted any and all traces of the press release? My buddy was in Florida a few months ago when it was so called going on heavy, he waited in line for three hours with his family of 5 and decided to do it another day so they left only to receive positive test results in the mail. WTF! They weren’t tested so how could they know if they had it? It’s all BS! Yes, some are dying from it, just as almost 100k die per year from the flu alone. Everything has complications due to “Corona Virus”, you die from car accident and “Corona Virus” is to blame, drink to much and overdose to have “Corona Virus” as reason for cause of death!
