  1. Exactly, electric I can't find the article now... But this journalist speculated that since everything is headed towards electric. GM will likely switch to one suspension design for ease of manufacturing, cost etc. Sure there's the trade offs, but there's a lot more grocery getters then work trucks on the road. Imo if it really is for work, a base model 3/4 ton would be my choice.
  2. The wax coating on your frame looks brand new Want to trade? It'll take care of your paint concern at the same time!
  3. I think that's something only you can decide. But imo looks good
  4. This is just an example of what you might find on google https://tvdvinyldecals.com/products/premium-cast-vinyl-overlay-decals-for-2014-2019-gmc-canyon-emblems
  5. Its all in the design, independent rear suspension is the fix. I think GM is transitioning to irs in future models.
  6. Sounds like you need to have only, "one" GM tech check your oil. In either case it sounds like they're doing it wrong, or you have mechanical issues they should be addressing.
  7. I have this issue on my 17. The problem with mine is the frame of the door around the window is inset of the front pillar. I believe there was a tsb... In this tsb, the fix was to put something between the door and the cab (window rolled down) and flex it to the appropriate shape At the time I decided I didn't trust anyone enough to do this, and now I can't hear it over the exhaust so it doesn't matter. Anyways, I'd recommend checking out the alignment. Seals wont matter if the door isn't where its supposed to be.
  8. Good info, thanks. So your saying the T1's use the same front diff as the k2's?
  9. I believe with the front its not a simple ring/pinion swap you have to replace the whole diff. I don't know if the front diff is different on T1's or not, but with the k2's you can go up to 3.73. For some reason I'm thinking the 3.0 diesel has 3.73s, so you should be able to.
  10. You may be able to find a used engine and a shop/individual to do the work. But is it worth it? Would you rather have a brand new engine (with a warranty) or a used engine that may already have something wrong with it? Or if spending money really isn't a option.. I'd inquire at a dealership and see if they'd take it as a trade in. They may just do it because they'll come out ahead in the long run.
  11. I'm aware, I'm on my phone and half the time spell check changes a word on me Was this this a spelling contest? I wish you hadn't said that... now it's all going to start up again. More fuel for the fire they have created
  12. Grumpy, do you actually fail to recognize that I learned how to argue from You? It should look very familiar. And quite honestly your in trouble, because you've been teaching this whole forum how to argue for some time. And one by one they're going to get to a place where they've had enough of your bull ******. I will point out again, that you claim wisdom and knowledge while ignoring the facts that stare you in the face. You keep tripping and stumbling over the mess you've strewn about, trying to make it back to safety. Grabbing at any power you might be able to hold onto. Sad... Resorting to name calling is a new low for you. The funny thing is stupidity doesn't Triumph, nor does ignorance. You choose to see what you wish to avoid harming yourself.
  13. Funny, I was only quoting you when I said, "egr system". I mean, one would think you know what your talking about, right? But you already know this, because you re-read this thread... right? *edit* Science? You haven't attempted to share any science relevant to LT engines. Yes, your mentality is very disturbing, I stated that earlier. Can you see yourself? Step back from the situation and look. Your arguing things that make sense to no one. They make sense to no one because your argument isn't relevant to the engines in this thread.
  14. @Grumpy I like your signature. Very... pathetic and sad. Resorting to insult's but out of reach and touch from the person and/or person you look to belittle. Strap on a set and start acting like the wisdom you claim to be. I don't care if its directed at me, someone else, or no one specific. You think it gives you power, that you have knowledge and wisdom unspoken. What it says, is that your poor looser. Wait... Perhaps, no but it can't be! We have the same information, same facts but... We see it differently? Huh, sounds damn familiar for some reason.
  15. Can you please respond to the post where I pointed out the misinformation your clearly posting. You keep claiming I'm confusing and spreading misinformation. You've said that you've re-read the thread, but I don't think you have. You talk about me going in circles, but I think that perhaps your just dizzy... And seeing things from all the donuts you've spun This is hilarious... wow.. do you mind sharing which engine company you own, or is it owned? I think this would be a great thread for potential customers to review. You know, get an inside view of the man behind the metal, and what they could probably expect for performance? *edit* I also want to point out that you liked a post by TxTruckMan on the previous page. But you failed to recognize that he was indicating what, "I should say". Not what should be said, to me. You may want to correct that because it contradicts everything you've been saying. And the very fact that your ignorant to what's actually transpired in this thread, along with resulting to names and/or insults only reinforces the prison you've built around yourself. People aren't stupid, but please continue to drive that prison further into the ground. Nobody want's this to happen again.
  16. Ahhh, ok.. so there is a part # for an egr valve on these engines. Spin it anyway you want it grumpy. If we're all about facts here, show me this part number and I will shut my mouth. Right? I mean everyone is in a huff about physical evidence, let's see it. Wait... maybe its called vvt, and it doesn't have an egr valve... Because an egr valve would indicate something seperate or extra from the already present valves would it not?
  17. My understanding is that the passenger's valve cover is the clean side. Driver's is the dirty side. It wasn't mentioned because customboss would of had to acknowledge atmospheric pressure at the passenger's side valve cover.
  18. I have re-read it. The only thing I can find is your belief of an existing egr system in these trucks. Please. Show me where gm has listed such a system. I also see that you believe the air filter to block atmospheric air. I also see that you believe there to be check valve at all pcv connections. On that note! You have confused what I've said regarding the pcv system. L87 does not actually spec a pcv system, which is why I didn't label it as such. I see you stirring up confusion, asking for proof, blablablah. For what? Everything I have stated is factual information for these engines. And because I won't right up a report with a list of sources everything I've said is wrong. Your late to the party friend. Catch can arguments for this engine started in 2014. I have nothing to prove to you. If you don't believe me show something to back it up other than you said knowledge base. Show me a gm doc showing an egr system, pcv valves on the l87, intake tube pressure after the filter. Everything you've said is based on your knowledge of engines. However you have no knowledge of these LT based engines.
  19. Yes, I'm aware the maf reads humidity level. Please explain your post and how it pertains to anything I've discussed. And please explain to me how I'm confusing.
  20. Why do piston tops look like trudeau with black face instead of being free of carbon build up. Any water/moisture in the combustion chamber would instantly turn to preasurized steam.
  21. I agree with everything you said.. Except it's not egr, GM has not specd an egr system on LT based engines. As you stated , and as gm states; it's vvt.
  22. There isn't ONE single thing you've said that aligns with the operation kf gm's LT based engines. But I'm the one thats wrong, and spreading lies? You are twisted, and have serious issues if your willing to actually plant lies where they have no place being. I wish you a comfortable and swift retirement. People like you make the world toxic! I'm done. You've attempted to twist everything I've said. People can do their own research and determine who the idiot actually is.
  23. You've outright failed to address my question regarding where your getting this idea if unfiltered air. Own up to error like a man, or continue to throw around baseless words attempting to confuse everyone and paint the appearance that you know what your talking about. I don't know what engine you have, but get off your ass and go look under the hood of your truck. Because I can tell your not even able form a picture in your head if what it actually looks like. You can and are turning this into misinformation. Everything you've stated clearly indicates you don't have a clue if how your truck even operates. Please continue. I'll wear the idiot crown if it will shut you up. But know your not hurting me, only yourself.
  24. So your telling me that you think the filter keeps out atmospheric pressure?
  25. I said no such thing, anywhere. Wth are you even talking about. Any pcv hose connects to the intake tube post filter.
