  1. maybe replace the HMI module. very odd
  2. I had one of these on my first truck in high school. Never again for the reason you just experienced. If that thing is not welded to the frame it's just going to bend into the entire front end of your truck and cause more damage than just some front bumper damage and possibly grille and headlights. Good luck recovering from this event, I'd ditch the brush guard though.
  3. So I unclamped my flapper valve just to see if the drone was effected. Sure enough the drone went away with the valve unclamped but the whistling noise was back. I just gotta cut that thing out of there and remove that from the equation.
  4. Any recommendations on a resonator for 3 inch piping?
  5. Well since this post has been brought back from a 4 month hiatus, for those interested in the OP's question about the 15267 exhaust. After install and driving it at first, the flapper valve would cause a whistling sound, as a result I clamped the valve open. However, on the highway there is a moderate drone now between 1600 and 2000 RPMs which is right where my truck wants to hover at highway speeds. I am going to unclamp the flapper and just see whether the drone remains or not. Eventually I'm cutting the flapper off since I have the v4 blocked but I have to find something for the drone, hopefully a small resonator in its place will do the trick.
  6. Oh, no I don't really care. lol if someone wants to track me, Oh well I don't do anything exciting.
  7. Its helpful to me when I want to generate travel maps or a variety of other things doing work in the field as a geologist.
  8. If you think that's scary. Go into Google maps and go to my places. I did the other day and it has tracked every location I have ever been to going back to 2007.
  9. Call GM. Give them your VIN and they should be able to tell you. I would be willing to bet it's the 315hz. I would just order those and relearn them to your truck before you put them in the wheels to make sure they all work anyways
  10. The HD trucks use the 433 and the non HDs use 315s. At least from what I've gathered during my TPMS sensor fiasco
  11. Did you run the truck before testing dip stick so it primed the filter and the rest of the voided galleys
  12. with my recent TPMS escapades I have concluded that there are two different sensors. There is a number 3 sensor that works for standard 1500 series trucks and there is a number 4 sensor that does not work for the standard 1500 series but HDs. The number 4 sensor is a higher pressure sensor with different frequency. The vendor that shipped out my sensors sent me 4's at first and guess what. THEY DID NOT WORK on my 1500. I had to go back and take them out to replace them with the number 3's. Thankfully my buddy that works at acura helped me squeeze them out of there for cheap if I helped him do it on the install machine. Basically any sensors for a non HD 1500 truck will transfer over to a non HD 1500 truck and any HD truck will do the same. All you need is the reset tool.
