  1. Quick question for the group here. I swear that my truck was able to connect to my 5ghz hotspot but I just tried last week and the 5ghz hotspot wouldn't even populate in my wifi options on the trucks in dash screen. Only my 2.5 ghz would show. I though something was wrong with my phone so when I got home I tried to connect to the 5ghz band. Again it would only show the 2.5 ghz bands. Did the last over the air updates for our trucks disable the 5ghz receiver, did my truck just stop functioning correctly, or am I imagining that capability. Thanks.

  3. Not an option outside of sending your HMI module or whatever controller they use now to a third party programmer.
  4. Maybe you are buying super old sensors that have been laying around a warehouse for years and the batteries are giving out? Just a guess.
  5. If you are talking about the seatbelt chime, your SOL. The best you can do is turn the volume down to like 25% OR plug in your seat belt OR buy another seatbelt buckle from a junkyard and just keep it plugged in.
  6. Go into your connection settings in the infotainment and unselect the AA/carplay option. Then use the wired connection OR just turn on your wifi hotspot and connect your truck to the wifi and use the infotainment system apps.
  7. After dealing with multiple GM vehicles with these types of connectors the past few years. I have found it easiest to use a small pair or pliers on the larger connector and a pair of needle nose or small pliers to depress the tab just under the red pull out (sometimes i just depress the red pull out and the tab) and pull apart using the two pliers. They kind of get suction stuck together like two 5-gallon home depot buckets when they get put in one another. Just have to be careful not to damage anything.
  8. Unless you can find a company that knows how to do it your SOL. GM isn't going to spend the man hours and costs with doing calibrations for every possible combination of lifts and levels.
  9. Kit No. Parts can be bought but individually. I suggest you go into the GM parts website and find the part number for the grille to match your VIN and search the internet for the best price. For the bumpers I would find yourself a local powdercoater and get the bumpers stripped and coated. IIRC you can paint the parking sensors without messing with their function but obviously you'll have to remove them and spray with a rattle can or something separately from powdercoating.
  10. I got the reminder on the screen when I shut the truck off. Let it install complete over the air and came back out like 30 min later after I read your post. I'm guessing your install file got corrupted some how during the process
  11. Mine just did the update. Noticed a few small changes but nothing detrimental yet
  12. put them on marketplace for sale or for free. Don't throw them away if someone can use them
  13. Your not getting the GPS signal to the truck. I bet if you put in (0, 0) (Lat, Long) in a mapping system, you'll see your truck thinks your at (0, 0) because your not getting any GPS signal or the communication is not making it to the infotainment system.
  14. keep records and write down every conversation you have had with the dealer and GM. youll need them with lemon law suit. Then read the Lemon Law booklet your dealer gave you when you purchased.
  15. You can edit your android auto dashboard on your phone while not connected to the car by opening up android auto on the phone. Settings>connected devices>android auto>customize launcher
  16. forcing the valve open led to bad drone so I just dealt with the whistling (can't really hear it in the cab) until I sold the truck.
  17. In my 2017, I did the magnaflow exhaust kit with the flapper valve. That flapper valve with the magnaflow made the entire exhaust whistle like it was a diesel under load. Just cruising you didn't hear it, but when you stepped on the gas at all the whistle was super loud to anyone outside of the vehicle.
  18. Agree but I would say still need to keep in mind the warranty aspect IF you do have bearing failures. Dealer most likely won't approve work on bearings if they determine spacers or any wheel offset from stock is used. Would be a good idea to keep your stock wheels and tires around just in case a bearing starts going and throw them on before you go to dealer. Of course this depends on the dealer you go to. If you have no warranty then its a moot point.
  19. I cut out my muffler, kept the valve, have no drone. BUT, i also have one of the 22 models that did not have the 4-cyl mode
  20. Gonna have to be a call you need to make. Are they going to fit fine, probably? Are they potentially causing excessive wear to your bearings, also probably. I suggest you do your own research on the topic. Plenty of articles and resources regarding spacers and large offset wheels and their negative impacts on bearings. Personally I would rather run some wheel offset to push them out over spacers.
  21. the should have instructions on their site for removing the overhead panel. You will need plastic trim removal tool to pop off the two curved plastic pieces to access t5 star head screws. Then use the trim tool to pop it loose from the roof. Having done their P&P harnesses on a few vehicles, the hardest part is disconnecting the OEM harness connections, especially if you have bigger hands. Don't be afraid to use channel lock pliers if you need help depressing the connection release, just be careful.
  22. For oil changes I have no problem using my plastic rhino ramps I had had for years, still always place jack stands on the frame or k member. For all other work which requires wheels off the ground. Go buy yourself a high lift hydralic floor jack. The best jackstands on the planet are the esco flat tops with rubber pads. https://esco.net/product/3-ton-performance-jack-stand-pair/
  23. So I just looked at my paperwork. Apparently it is no yet a bulletin but just a GM Doc # 6378631.
  24. Update, GM has a service bulletin for it but there is no fix for it yet. As far as rolling back updates. Not possible.
  25. Yes, I have that exact issue after some updates as well. It is at the dealer now for the third time among a number of other issues caused by updates.
