  1. I would do it . It will help with the bugs. It will also shine like you just waxed it too. There really isn't any reason not to do it . Especially if you plan on keeping the truck for a few years.
  2. Thanks to the guys that agree $1600 is a fair price for a top notch job. I like the way it looks and it was worth it to me. If you think I payed too much, it's my money why do you care?
  3. Wow . Mine wasn't that bad but it definitely was not perfect. My guy had a total of 18 hours in the paint correction. It looks flawless. Here is what mine looked like before and after the paint correction.
  4. Are you serious? Ceramic Coating is not wax. Not even close. $1600 is about the average price to get it done. Plenty of guys on here have had this done and even payed more and swear by it. I like my trucks to look nice . I don't care how fast it is or how it sounds or what tune it has. You seem to be an expert on everything but know nothing about ceramic coating.
  5. It's a coating that they apply over your paint after it's been corrected (buffed out) . It's like a permanent wax. Makes it easier to keep clean. It's not for everyone though. This cost me $1600 to get this done Not ocean blue metallic but this is RyanbabZ71's Camaro that he coated himself.
  6. It will be easier to keep it clean though. The wheels are the Real Deal 22's Take offs from a 2019 Suburban Premier. $3000 option on that. I got them for $2000 when I bought the truck. They kept the 18" wheels and tires that were on it
  7. Today I picked up my Black 2018 Silverado from Aurora Motor Spa in Buffalo MN. Got it Ceramic Coated. Best $1600 I've spent. It looks amazing. Pictures don't do justice. If you live in the Minneapolis area and are thinking about getting this done, Call Levi and schedule yours. He is top notch. 612-850-1654
  8. I'm also looking at Catch Cans. The way I see it can't hurt compared to the consequences down the road. I need two of them . What's the best? Elite? On a unrelated side note.. I can't believe Ryan Martin lost tonight in the first round to Larry Larson. Ryan is the man
  9. I went and watched the Ceramic Coating cure on my Black Silverado after work tonight. The luster it has now is borderline show quality. It looks unbelievable. My phone battery died so I didn't get any pictures but I'm stopping by his shop again tomorrow morning and I'll snap a few. I might bring it home depending on the weather. Otherwise it will sit in his shop until Friday because it's supposed to rain until Thursday. Black Trucks Matter.
  10. I have the 285 45 22's Bridgestone Dueler AT RHS's that came on on my truck and I think they are a good all around tire. I'm in Minnesota so I see plenty of snow and I'm not dissatisfied with them. At Discount Tires they are $255 each. So for a little over a grand not going to break you.
  11. Now that is a skinny garage.
  12. I noticed that too. I was hoping to see some with 150,000+ miles. They must think 20,000 miles a year is high mileage. I used to put 50,000 - 65,000 miles a year on my trucks when I did more work out of town. Now my jobs are close to home and I only put on 1000 - 1500 miles a month for work.
  13. I'm getting sick of winter too. We are on pace to break the record snowfall for the month of February here just north of Minneapolis with two more snowfalls predicted in the next 6 days. At least we are above zero this week.
  14. Can't you just try one and see if it fits instead of all the speculation ?
  15. If you ask me that gate won't last 5 years . Too many moving parts.
  16. I wouldn't be too worried about the reliability either. Look at the cars Chevy does with superchargers. ZR1 Vettes, ZL1 Camaros. I don't hear about problems with those and I frequent the Vette and Camaro forums.
  17. You might as well go get it then. If it's what you want. All the mods are done. Drive it home. Sounds like a good deal. Don't worry about the MPG's gas is cheap.
  18. I can't believe you are worried about gas mileage. Really? 10 if you're lucky
  19. The diesel nozzle won't fit. It's bigger in diameter that the regular unleaded nozzle. Been that way since cars and trucks started using unleaded in the 1970's. Your dealer is an idiot .
  20. I'm with you. I sometimes find it hilarious why guys try to reinvent the wheel. Don't you think that GM thought about this before it went into production? Besides that a little tiny splash of water isn't going to hurt your precious motor.
