  1. I call B.S. 80? The dent in your tailgate looks more like 20 mph
  2. All this talk about oil, blah blah, blah. Dump Mobil 1 0W20 in it and be done. Talk talk talk It's oil man. I never heard of anyone having a problem because they used the wrong brand of oil. Have you?
  3. Does it do it only with the AC on? I know it's weird.
  4. Something I've noticed on both my 2018 Silverado's 5.3 6spd. 3.42. With the air conditioning on, coasting to a stop sign the 3-2 downshift is a little harsher than the rest of the gears. Both trucks do it only with the A.C. on. A.C. off it doesn't do it. Crew cab has 11,000 miles , Double cab has 25,000 miles. Anyone else notice this with the A.C. on?
  5. That's what I always thought. All models get the same wiring harness. If you don't have some of the options you have a plug like that with nothing plugged into it. I'd be willing to bet the plug is for the 4 wheel drive selector switch.
  6. I wonder if it's for the 4 wheel drive selector switch that's there on LT, LTZ, and HC. Your truck has the shifter on the floor.
  7. They call them toppers in Minnesota too. And it's pop not soda.
  8. After around 750 miles of installing the Borla S Type catback exhaust system and the Range disabler my gas mileage has increased by 1.3 MPG'S. All of my driving is in town too. I think the increase is more due to the new exhaust though. I haven't really been racing around to listen to it much either . Heading up to the cabin on Sunday to put the dock in so I'm going to check and see how much better it is on the highway. It's about 100 miles north of where I live and the speed limit is mostly 60mph so we'll see what happens .
  9. I dig it. I'm usually not a fan of black wheels but they look good on yours. Are those caliper covers?
  10. I've had my Range for about 250 miles now and I like it. Totally took care of the drone I got in V4 at 1500 rpm since I installed the Borla S Type catback exhaust system. I don't notice any difference in mpg's yet but I haven't driven enough yet.
  11. I know what I would do. Get a 2500 and don't look back. Why add air bags or do a bunch of other shit when you could just hook it on the 3/4 ton and go. Everyone always says a 3/4 ton is such a non user friendly truck around town. Other than less MPG's, its not that big of a deal. You would be better off in the long run. The 6 liter is proven. I don't like living on the edge with too much trailer and not enough truck. It's up to you though.
  12. No brainier. Borla. You get what you pay for. Million mile warranty . S Type sounds great
  13. Swapped out the antenna on my Black truck to a 21" from Antennasource.com $25.00 Tired of it rubbing on the garage door
  14. Also I would buy it directly from Range. Then you get the latest software. They have a 10 dollar off code on their website so its $189.00
  15. As far as I know there is only the Range. Tuners will also do the same thing and add a few hp too. I like my warranty though so I just went with the Range.
  16. It would look stupid He can cut them with a metal cutting chop saw and just use three brackets. Easy .
  17. He's talking about taking boards off a crew cab and putting them on a double cab The cab on the double cab is 9" shorter than the cab on a crew cab. Crew cab boards are 9" longer. I should know I have one of each. Sure the longer boards will fit but they would look stupid
  18. What does the wheel base matter?. Cab size is what matters here. Crew cab is 9" longer than a double cab
  19. I've been following this closely to see the pros and cons of the Range. It seems to be way more pros than cons. I just ordered a Range after installing a Borla S Type cat back exhaust system. It drones at around 1500 rpm in V4 and it sounds no so great. When V4 is off it sounds good. We'll see how it works in a few days when I get it.
  20. I'm talking about the dumbasses that write up your service order when you pull your truck into the service area. They aren't too bright.
  21. I'm sure you are correct. I asked the service writer at the Chevy dealer when I was getting a free oil change about catch cans . I asked if they could void the warranty? He said " what's a catch can?" Another time I was there with my other truck for a free oil change I asked another guy about the Range AFM Disabler and if it voids the warranty. Again this doofus said "What's a Range AFM Disabler?" The other part about the mall crawlers I get that . You gotta be cool you know.
  22. I'm sure you are correct there. I'd be willing to bet that only 2% of all 14-18 trucks even have a catch can. Almost 4.5 million trucks have been sold since 2014. I doubt if 100,000 trucks have catch cans . Just a guess but I bet I'm pretty close.
