    .. finally ordered a set of running boards for the truck today. After much back and forth on a couple different drop step options I pulled the trigger and ordered the Westin HDX bars. Truck finally goes in tomorrow morning to dealer to have the console power socket replaced which shorted out couple weeks ago.. been holding off on installing a sub/amp and a few other things until the dealer is done messing around with my harness and pulling my console.

    Plasti-Dip my tailgate handle white.. now to wait for it to dry overnight and I'll check tomorrow for how close the color is.. hopefully it's close enough.. white is pretty forgiving

    .. took it to Home Depot and picked up a "load" of lumber.. it's officially a work truck now! .. then got home, vacuumed it out, armor-all the door panels and made a streaky mess of the panels! What are you using to clean up your door panels?

    Jeez you're right.. I increased the backlight filter and there he was!

    installed LED bulbs in the roof mounted brake light and sprayed VHT ceramic paint on the exhaust system thanks to my wife's help

    .. what didn't you do to your K2 today? My Rough Country level kit arrived yesterday.. but I'm dealing with an injured disk in my spine making bending over out of the question.. guess it's time to train my girl how to tear down the suspension!

    Nice.. makes you wonder when GM is going to catch up to the aftermarket crowd and start putting a reverse bulb in stock that you can actually see in the dark with vs an interior light bulb to let the squirrels know when it's time to move out of the way

    .. that's where I got mine from as well .. no issues with the reverse camera either and bright as headlights!.. just need to be careful of the heat if used for more than short periods

    ..realized today that GMC & Chevy cannot interchange the taillights.. sucks for me as I really like the LED style GMC tails.. hatched plan B and ordered the parts needed to modify my Chevy tails (.. more to come). Also discovered that white leather is much harder to come by than you might think at the local upholstery supply shops.. need to expand my search area this weekend..

    Got underneath for some more pre-winter prep before I head to Rust Check for undercoating. Finished up where GM left off.. clean and paint rear axle with can of truck bed liner and sprayed down every exposed bolt I could find under the chassis with Nutz Lube (love that stuff). I also found the steering wheel a little thin and too hard for my liking so I added a much needed cover.
