  1. You have the Competitor muffler? At warm idle it’s definitely quiet. Cruising is pretty tame. But it’ll make some noise when you want it to. I definitely dig it.
  2. No. Mine comes out in the stock location. I like it. It’s a little loud, but it has a great sound. I don’t regret it.
  3. Wheels came in surprisingly fast for the UAW being on strike. Took er to the dealer today to have all 4 wheels replaced under warranty. Fresh goods!
  4. Took it to the dealer yesterday to start a warranty claim on my flaky chrome wheels. Has been approved and I’ll be getting 4 new wheels.
  5. It came yesterday but I didn’t use it until today, but my Range AFM Disabler came in. V4 mode with my Carven exhaust wasn’t unbearable, but the drone and “buh buh buh” noise was just enough to irritate me. Works perfectly. No more V4, truck drives great. Happy as a pig in crap.
  6. Looks really good! I dig it!
  7. Here’s your sound clip whoever asked for it.
  8. American Trucks on Youtube is a pretty good representation of the sound.
  9. Finally able to get over to my friend’s house with a lift and threw on my Carven Competitor exhaust. Sounds great in the garage. Haven’t actually driven it yet. Drooling over his old school GS 400. Edit: Sounds really good. Pretty aggressive tone. Also sounds quieter than I was expecting. Doesn’t even sound bad in V4 mode, but doesn’t sound good either but you can tell it’s in V4. No noticeable drone to me.
  10. I have the same flaps. I’m happy with them!
  11. New tail lights came in. So, I installed them. So far, I’m happy. Kinda wish I’d have done the smoked lights instead of black smoked. They’re pretty dark. But they function as they should. I did have a passenger side hyper flash at first, but my truck’s battery was also low(most likely from my dash cam running and not driving it). It does not do this now. Anyway, pics. OEM, resistor placement and final showing. Running lights are hard to see in the sun light though especially with the brake lights on. Edit: took a couple quick snaps at 730pm. You can see the running lights way better than in the mid afternoon sun. Edit 2: The position of the reverse lamps mixed with the license plate lights make the backup camera practically useless in dark settings. Not a deal breaker for me, but may be for others. The road and such doesn’t glow behind the truck like OEM does, but I feel like the lights are very visible from a distance. I didn’t take any pics from a distance but I can should I get time later this week or the weekend.
  12. http://www.topgearautosport.com/part/A141PE8Y109/2018_Chevy_Silverado_Black_Smoked_Custom_LED_Tail_Lights.html http://www.topgearautosport.com/part/A13532P5108/2018_Chevy_Silverado_Black_Smoked_Tube_LED_Third_Brake_Light_Cargo_Light.html Both of these. Someone posted them in another thread and I liked them. Hope they work good.
  13. Ordered it Sunday, shipped Monday. Says it will be here Friday.
  14. Not sure on shipping time. I know it’s coming FedEx though. Means it’ll probably go across the country 7 times.
  15. Waiting for it all to show up. But, I ordered LED tail lights, LED 3rd brake light and Carven Competitor exhaust. Carven currently has a $35 off coupon on their Facebook page if anyone’s looking for exhaust plus free shipping.
  16. This is mine after a slightly spirited 30 minute drive and after idling for about 15-20 seconds in gear.
  17. Voltmeter dipping low is normal. GM thought it’d be cool to cause a panic doing this. It’s to prevent overcharging of the battery. As far as oil pressure, looks ok to me. I’ll drive mine and get back to you. Pretty sure mine’s in a similar spot.
  18. Rain-X makes a pretty good one, also Turtle Wax. If you wanna get real good stuff find some Bug Slide. It’s pricey, but damn does it work GOOD. Most motorcycle shops should have it.
  19. Those rat bastards. My last set had the lip. That’s a bummer.
  20. Anyone have the N-Fab Podium steps in stainless? Little pricey, but I like the way they look and I don’t really want black. Just curious if anyone has them and how they’re holding up.
  21. Not totally disputing you, but the tires I snagged from Discount Tire(apparently Cooper Discoverer ATP is specific to DT, at least that’s what I was told) had a small lip from the wheel to the tire. Unless they’ve changed recently. I can’t speak for any other sets of Cooper Discoverer tires. But I totally understand. I don’t wanna scratch my chrome wheels either.
  22. I’ll throw in a vote for Cooper Discoverer tires if you’re looking to stay stock size. I went through two sets on my 2008 Sierra. Lasted 40-50k and walked through anything I ever went through. I didn’t go find a 5 foot deep mud pit, but it went through 16” of snow no problem. Probably what will go on my ‘18 Silverado when I wear these stock Goodyear LS2 tires out.
  23. Nice leveling kit ya got there.
  24. Carven is still stainless. I was talking more about the tone. To me the Carven sounds better. I’ll give the S Type another listen.
